hey the leafs are all about rewarding players for failure have you not learnt anything , every player is the best in the league that comes toronto no matter how bad they were before they get to toronto, look at domi and bert no team in the nhl wants them but toronto is ready to overpay and long term deal them
Its not that big of a deal, 3.5 is a pretty small commitment when it comes to a potential starting goalie/tandem goalie (Broissont/Stolarz will likely get around that) Risky? Yes, bad deal? No
That's a bit dramatic. He has only had two significant injuries and both were unrelated - one an ankle and the other a back strain. If he had the same injury repeated (like a concussion) or had more than two significant injuries, I'd be concerned. He had two other minor day-to-day injuries, but everyone gets those. With the right coaching and conditioning, he'll be fine.

Great Woll signing... Best stats of a goalie coming up in the system in who knows how long. If he stays healthy you got him locked in at 3.5/4 mil and could be a steal. If he gets injured its 3.5/4 mil in cap space on LTIR.

Question: In a contract year, should Marner continue to attach himself to Matthews, playing on the same line together since the 2nd year I believe, as well as attaching himself to possibly another playoff ground hog day scenario, or just sever the cord and go elsewhere to showcase his skillset?
