The goal direct from a corner (an Olympico) is a rarity. A boy I know scored one against my son's team in a high school game one time, also on a blustery day. I told him to cherish the memory because they don't happen often.
true fact ! in Napoli circa 1987 Diego during an infamous training session scored 10 goals with 10 attempts directly from corner flag..witnessed by hundreds of smiling cheering fans sat on the metal perimiter fences of the sports complex.. There was no goalie though. the legend of this particular session also says Diego hit bar 10 from 10 times in a later crossie challenge also cheered on by the crazy fans who had been turning up at training in their hundreds even thousand+ on school holiday.. just thought u should know lol...viva Maradona viva Wrexham !
That is literally how the entire football league works. Unless they introduce salary caps every team that can afford better players will rise up. Don't get salty about it just because it isn't happening to your team. Blame the rule makers. I'd much rather see salary caps myself, but it will never happen
We didn't even spend the most in this league, Birmingham City blew Wrexham out of the water and there's still a team or two who spent more than us over the summer.
@@buddhamack1491 Whatever. The higher up the leagues you go, the more boring it is as a fan. You should be happy to be a lower league team, after all, if you ever make it to the Prem you'll only get thrashed every week. Where's the fun in that? Give me non-league footie any day.
@@johnandrews8590did that happen to your club? You sound like you are speaking from experience. If so, where’s you club at currently and how many fans has it gained / lost?
People getting mad at teams playing by rules hahahaha it's literally how the entire English football set-up works. Unless you can get them to introduce salary caps it is absolutely pointless whinging about
Rathbone is a lovely guy as well as a great player. Nice to see him congratulate the Burton defender on his defending.
from his interviews he seems like a genuienly nice person. Hardest worker on the team
I thought the old Irish bloke was?@@bvyup2112
If we carry on playing like that we should avoid relegation 👍

When Birmingham and Wycombe have games in hand we are at best 3rd on the table.
A good Wrexham victory away at Burton Albion to tie the standings at the summit of the English League One,good friends!!!👍
Amazing things can happen when Lee beats the first man from a corner
5:50 gol olimpico
Well done!
Mullin is half asleep these days. I could have scored that chance.

Still do you think that Wrexham should get promoted to the Championship this season. I don’t think they will.
7:24 Shot or cross?
Yes.
From the post match interview seems they got told they had licence to shoot because of the possibility of a wind assist, so I'm thinking shot.
Wrexham buying another promotion.
isnt that the point
