Obeying the Law benefits us nothing. But we selfishly take it up as a way to benefit ourselves in All religions. Christianity says when you’re obeying the Law because you’re thinking about God, and wanting to Lift Up His Name and considering Others above yourselves, then Real Love has come alive in your heart. If I’m not lying to you and about you that benefits you. If I’m not stealing from you, or stealing your reputation by talking bad about you, that benefits you. If I’m not envious of you or coveting what’s your then I’m not gonna have a reason in my heart to do you wrong and I can actually be nice to you. That benefits you. If I don’t hate you or harm you in anyway, that benefits you. To actually Love you takes a supernatural Power. It can only happen if I’ve been set Free from the other things I love, like myself, my pride, my fleshy desires, my comfort, my happiness, what others think about me, and many more things that benefit me. We don’t have a natural inclination towards loving others and certainly don’t have a natural inclination towards loving God. God gave the Law so we may SEE how we have fallen short. It’s not for our salvation, nor for our benefit. It was given so we could see how we are not living the way we were created to live. So we can SEE we don’t have LIFE and we deserve punishment many times over. And that punishment is what we are headed for. The ultimate way God has given us to see our sin is through the Cross. Full of Grace, Mercy and Forgiveness He came Earth as a man to tell us we must be Transformed, Born Again, become a New Person. The Romans and the Jews rejected His Message and His Works of Kindness because their hearts were evil. They both crucified God. If that doesn’t REVEAL the Heart of man I don’t know what does. But in His death, He didn’t fight back, He didn’t bring Justice and Judge RIGHT THEN, no He said, if you will not Reject the SPIRIT THAT WAS In Me and Let My Death be your wake-up call to repentance and forgiveness and transformation I’ll forgive you and Live with you and fellowship with you in and through My Spirit. We can walk with Love for each other, and with love for others from here on out. I’ve extended your time on earth, I’ve been patient with you, giving you my Good News, to Let My Law wake you up and My Son’s Death Transform your heart. Don’t continue to reject me, to live in your way, to minimize me, and hate me and others because one day you’ll stand before me and I’ll hold you accountable for your sin.

From the beginning, man has been trying to grasp the eternal and the infinite but they’re beyond mortal reach. Curved space and an expanding universe are finite quantities that do not address the infinite. What is beyond the curve? What is space expanding into? Space isn’t confined to observable matter alone. The curvature of spacetime and the expansion of the universe don’t try to address the infinite, they don’t have to, they were never supposed to, they’re just qualities we’ve observed. There’s nothing “beyond the curve”, that’s not a phrase that even makes any sense. The universe needn’t be expanding into anything. How would answering your questions advance anything? The infinite and eternal aren’t really very difficult concepts to understand in an of themselves. “The infinite and eternal where space has no end and time no beginning” needn’t be explained because it’s just meaningless technobabble, space likely does have an end and time may well have a beginning. Yeah indeed, just shows how fucked up Christians are where you have to be told by some imaginary dude that doing good deeds is good and you literally couldn't come up with that thought by yourself. Other people came to that realization WITHOUT religion and don't have an excuse of "oh well I wasn't ordered to by my god" if they don't do it. Unlike you guys, we take responsibility and accountability, not by bifurcating it to some imaginary guy in some imaginary place "in the sky" and you do good because he tells you to.
Here's how you break the so called Scales of Justice.. the whole argument that as long as your good outweighs your bad If a man saves 10 women from the sex slave trade and delivers them to freedom, but decides to keep 2 as his own personal set slaves.. does the 8 that he saved outweigh the 2 that he kept? If I saved 6 lives from a house fire.. can I get a license to kill one person of my choosing? Seeing as I've saved 6 lives I should now be able to remove somebodies existence somewhere?
Christianity is not about transforming you into a better person it’s about the triune god. This “religion” isn’t a tool to make you “a better person” and I don’t like how you grouped in Christianity with all other religions.
The most vocal people claiming to have all the answers, are often the most uneducated and unintelligent. Otherwise, maybe you should reconsider your stance on truths, for as long as you yourself continue to live in a delusion of ultimate truth within your realty, Your truth and my truth will continue to exist; Forever, until the ignorant and uneducated learn to be humble about what they do and do not know. Or you can continue to live a lie where you have all the answers. Its what you've been brainwashed to believe after-all.

It’s not about being enough alone. It’s about being sinful and Christ covering our sin. So who we are alone is not good and we do need a savior to cover that. The Torah doesn't explicitly say anywhere an idea supporting that "our good deeds are like rags". To the contrary, in Genesis 4:6 God tells Cain quite the opposite, "Is it not so that if you improve, it will be forgiven you? If you do not improve, however, at the entrance, sin is lying, and to you is its longing, _but you can rule over it."_ What God is telling Cain is that he can improve his actions, i.e. his works, such that they reach a level acceptable to God.
Utter nonsense. "We have a saviour and suck his cock and access to eternal bliss is granted". Christianity is just as nonsensical as all the other religions. Nothing special about it.

Faith is dishonest. It is without reason. The cornerstones of your belief have been built on a wall of lies and manipulation. Maybe you should build a better wall? Imagine someone this intellectually dishonest with themselves ever coming into a position of power. Saying "saved my faith" Is akin to saying "This lie re-affirmed my brainwashed conditioning to a place where i am more obedient." with a proud smug look on your face. If somebody from a much different religous backround said something similar to that, would you join their religion? I mean its TRUE for them right? Or do only you have all the answers?
What this guy said was about deeds being like "filthy rugs" was Paul's theology and nothing to do with Jesus. Instead of following someone who never met Jesus in the flesh, follow what Jesus's "brother" James, who walked and talked almost daily with Jesus and who said: "14. What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?... 17. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2. Read the Bible for yourselves.
Our works cannot attain salvation for us, he is right about that, but in order to partake of the saving grace of the Cross we have to be obedient and “repent and be baptized” otherwise we are turning our back on God and then He cannot save us. Our works have no merit on their own, but because of God’s grace they have merit and we can wash away temporal punishment due to sin and can offer up sacrifices and sufferings for sinners so that God can grant those sinners greater grace that they shun. St. James told us in the Bible “Faith without works is dead”
Faith without works is dead. It's in the bible. This means you can not claim to walk with God, and yet you never pick up the cross. What this man is referring to, though, is that you don't get saved through those works, you get saved through Jesus's "Grace." Following God's word + giving your best efforts is the way to let God know you're trying to be as he commanded, and he acknowledges your attempt and, in a sense, takes pity on our sinful soul. The fact we will never be good enough for heaven, and yet God is still willing to save us so long as we are obedient servants is love because God does not need us. We need him.
Christianity is a relationship, we serve a God that’s doesn’t need to be defended but served and obeyed. Religion is a dictatorship whereby your god needs protection, and one has to give his life to him. I’m not sure about you god but there is a living God that loves you

One reason, sociopaths and serial killers are so hard to find is that their outward persona is such a good caring helpful charitable Samaritan because those behaviors are beneficial to the ultimate goal of building up their status in society.

We are expected to have faith and by that faith we will study and show ourselves approved by God. Our works won't save us and neither will just saying you believe.
Believing requires doing his will. If you have faith and believe his words you will do his work.
We can't just say we believe then coast through life believing we will be saved. Repentance is the act of turning around. You cannot turn to Jesus then afterwards turn back to your old life. You have to walk anew along side Jesus and if you do, when you inevitably stumble He will lift you up. This also means following the examples and commandments given by Jesus and the apostles. Like being baptized. Jesus himself was baptized... not for forgiveness of sins but to fulfill prophecy and as an example of what we should do. I never understood beyond what must be the great deceivers influence as to why baptism is such a hang up for so many would be Christians. If one simple act of taking a dip in some water to show your belief and faith in God is too much for someone then what does that say about their actual devotion to their creator.

Please explain the infinite and eternal where space has no end and time no beginning. Looking forward to the answers. Thank you.
@@BaseballinHeaven why? Space doesn’t have to be infinite, in fact we don’t think it is. And time doesn’t have to be eternal. For what reason do these concepts need to be explained? And for what reason do you think your explanations have any value?
@@Emperorhirohito19272 Oh, my Mr. Belgard. I’m going to respond to you because of your discourteous closing question.
That is one of the most disturbing responses I have ever read. Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address was monumental because it said so much with so few words, but your short comment beat Mr. Lincoln’s altogether.
Firstly, I was asking for “explanations” not offering any. “Please explain” puts the responder in the position of explaining, not the questioner. “Space doesn’t have to be infinite, in fact ‘we’ don’t think it is.”??? Who are “we”? Are there more of you? Are you a member of the Flat Earth Society?
“Space doesn’t HAVE to be infinite and time doesn’t HAVE to be eternal”, but they are. Providence has given us the ability to “conceive” of these concepts but because the human intellect is finite, it cannot “comprehend” them. From the beginning, man has been trying to grasp the eternal and the infinite but they’re beyond mortal reach. Curved space and an expanding universe are finite quantities that do not address the infinite. What is beyond the curve? What is space expanding into? Space isn’t confined to observable matter alone.
The “reason these concepts need to be explained” is for the advancement of the human species which, by your response, has given me serious doubts as to the state of mankind’s ability to advance at all.
Your entire response was quite nescient but given your limited perspicacity, you default to nastiness and not intellectual discourse. Addressing your jaw-dropping assertions would be a challenge akin to explaining advanced calculus to a puppy so any attempt would be futile. You should be embarrassed but understandably, you have limitations that prevent that.
Edited section:
Lastly, Mr. Belgard. If I misinterpreted your last question as offensive when, in fact, you did not intend offense, please disregard my last paragraph above and any other words you may find objectionable and, in so doing, accept my sincere apology. If I am correct in assuming your intent was to offend, then go ahead and let it stand as written.
@@BaseballinHeaven holy shit you might be the most egotistical person I’ve ever spoken to. When I say “we” I mean the scientific community, very normal phraseology for referring to consensus scientific opinion.
Space and time do not have to be eternal. Space, probably isn’t, all evidence points to it being finite. Time we don’t know. You are not capable of demonstrating otherwise.
No one would bother defending that because it’s no one’s position that those things must be the case.

But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌۭ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌۭ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ وَلَـٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُور {٤٦}
Have they not travelled throughout the land so their hearts may reason, and their ears may listen? Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the hearts in the chests that grow blind
Surah 22, Ayat 46
Well said brother love it
Christ be with you
None of what he says removes the need to do good works if we want eternal life. (Gal 6:7-9)
It only means we need to have our righteousness washed in Christ’s blood. (1 John 1:7)
Holy Spirit guide
My truth, your truth, NO just The truth!
Sounds like putting yourself in a constant state of guilt
Kinda the whole point of religion.
Those who feel no guilt have no reason to be accountable or turn from evil.
*constant state of accountability
Because God is Holy. Set apart. He is the creator of EVERYTHING. When you start to think about how amazing He is, you realize how sinful we are. But He is also love. He loves us (His own creation) enough, He provided away for us to still be with Him for ETERNITY. All we have to do is BELIEVE in Jesus, who was the only one who never sinned (being a worthy) sacrifice to pay our debt which is the price of sin.
@@naija395for what? For doing a little bad thing every once in a while? While God has killed a lot of babies?
God in Jesus Christ IS Truth. He said so.
..Way Truth and Life.
Glory to God!!!!
This guy is a real Christian.
I’d say he is not educated on any religion including Christianity. I think he needs to re read the New Testament.
Preach!❤
I always wondered how God could save murdered and insert awful crime here but then you realize he loves us so so much that even our good deeds aren't good enough not because we're peasants but because it comes from sin stained hands and he loves us so much he cleans us of our sins God thank you for your son and our brother Jesus I hope everyone has a blessed day
"Here's why my imaginary friend is better than your imaginary friend".
Make sure you're making the right decision, eternity is a long time to think it over.
@@edgeofreason2710 Yeah, religions are so blatantly obviously man-made I have little to no concerns there, buddy. But even so, if I should so should you. How would you know your religion is the right one, if any single one was correct..
God does reveal Himself to those that seek Him out. True story.
@@nickvisic Self delution is a powerful thing...
@@edgeofreason2710 Religious pride might bring you to your personal hell.
Damn that's actually my Master's Degree thesis topic
What was your take on all of it?
Binary thinking is intellectual laziness. It’s not works OR faith, it’s not works OR grace. It is BOTH AND. It is works and faith. Works and grace. You must work to be a saint and when you sin and fall through your faith in God you will be saved with grace. You cannot actively deny God by horrid behavior but say you have faith and be saved through grace.
“Your truth” and “my truth” are just opinions and then there’s God’s word, which is THE TRUTH!!
Wise as serpents gentle as doves.
"Thou shalt not murder" - Does not rule out defense or protecting against evil.
It does rule out the planning and killing of any individual who they don't like for only that reason.
This was one of the truths that saved my faith and became one of the cornerstones for my beliefs.
If any religion was true, you wouldn't need faith to believe it.
Faith is dishonest. It is without reason. The cornerstones of your belief have been built on a wall of lies and manipulation.
Maybe you should build a better wall?
Imagine someone this intellectually dishonest with themselves ever coming into a position of power. Saying "saved my faith" Is akin to saying "This lie re-affirmed my brainwashed conditioning to a place where i am more obedient."
with a proud smug look on your face.
If somebody from a much different religous backround said something similar to that, would you join their religion? I mean its TRUE for them right? Or do only you have all the answers?
What this guy said was about deeds being like "filthy rugs" was Paul's theology and nothing to do with Jesus. Instead of following someone who never met Jesus in the flesh, follow what Jesus's "brother" James, who walked and talked almost daily with Jesus and who said:
"14. What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?...
17. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."
James 2.
The difference between doing good works because you have to and doing good works because you want to.
Christianity is a relationship, we serve a God that’s doesn’t need to be defended but served and obeyed. Religion is a dictatorship whereby your god needs protection, and one has to give his life to him. I’m not sure about you god but there is a living God that loves you
In the bible God was pleased with multiple so called "sinners". Abraham pleased God, Moses also, and David was even a man after God's own heart.. yet all were "sinners."
By giving glory for good deeds to the one who is righteous, and the Holy Spirit is the right way to think because of our own volition, we cannot be good
Preach it Brother ... A mans works are not righteous Romans 4 --- read it before getting it wrong again 🙏🙏🙏
The Truth is Truth! .. Not "your" truth or "my" truth .. The BIBLE it TRUTH! 🙏🏽
amen saved by grace through faith in Christ
