What a fantastic series! I binge watched the entire 21 episodes taking a sleep break only to catch the Atlantic crossing whole. Thank you for effort it took to film everything and edit into a most enjoyable package. Looks like you guys had awesome chemistry among the crew (Morgan & Javier are a riot), thanks for bringing us along. Very sad to see Meg's departure but congrats on reaching your destination on time, in one piece and in good health.
Well done guys, good crossing, great video. I'm Ex Merchant Navy. Always spoke to yachts when we came across them Deep Sea, and can't remember how many times we were asked for fuel! Alot of cruising yachts used to run Ham Radio, so they could keep in touch when out of range of marine VHF. Keep living the dream, I have a similar dream, but I know I will never be able to live it, which is why your vidoes are so important to people like me.
Congratulations - What an amazing accomplishment! I admit I got a little tear in my eye watching you make landfall - we've watched all of your vids and love every one - thanks for taking us along for the ride! Cheers, Dana & Patrick 😊
Nice one guys!!! Congrats for the crossing!!!! I am in love with the Helia 44! What a boat... and what a crew! Having fun all the time and enjoying a lot. What great example!
Great video yet again. Looks like you're all having great fun and it's so nice to see people really living life to the full. Keep the videos coming, enjoy yourselves and good luck on your next adventure :))
Once again great video with catchy music, good story and great editing, fantastic crew and well I am just so jealous right now. Cant wait for the next video ... Happy sailing guys
Hi Guys, congrats on the land fall. I think you jinxed the para sail when you said "keep it dry" We are looking forward to following your adventures in the Caribbean cheers Russell & Malene
+Russell Zylstra It's amazing how many times I've said to the camera that something needs to happen and then the next thing that occurs is a total clusterf%@# -- I should learn and stop explaining to the camera what "must" happen, lol -Tasha
Good Job on crossing the Atlantic. when you guys first mentioned you were doing an Atlantic crossing I was like... Oh! maybe they're coming to Nova Scotia... then I was like.... Nah... they're heading to the Caribbean! Great job on launching your sailing channel. We've been watching since you started! Your content is right up there with Delos and Vaga for us. -Chad & Katie
You guys and girls , probably mostly the girls have helped to make and edited some great videos, I hope to see more. I really like how you show the life of everyone on board, plus it such a great experience to see how everyone interacts with each other. Yes you will nerd more fuel and libations for the next voyage! Love what you make, cannot wait top see more.
An awesome video idea for next crossing would be a "My Day" video detailing what you guys get up to during a day on a crossing. Ie time between shifts and chores and general shenanigans.
i would love to see more day to day vlogs and fishing and just what goes on during the day every day plus it equals more content and views keep up the great vids thanks so so much for making these video
great journey ! regarding power , consider a wind generator together with solar power . It should give more power then needed . also try to get 12v gadget chargers , your inverter will use power to get to shore power (not sure if your cat has 110 or 220 volts)
+john wheatley Yeah! What were they thinking while provisioning for the crossing? A clear example of total incompetence :) I'm horrible planner myself, but I would never make that kind of mistake :)
WOW! We will watch this again! What a great story that I didn't have to read, cause I don't read much.. I know Ishould maybe when I am at sea :) again WONDERFUL and God Bless
Thanks for the quick follow up and great Christmas outfits. Would love to hear more about the experience as we will be following you Dec this year. Maybe you release the sailing stats and tips follow up?? Cheers
Well, in the true spirit of sailing if there's no wind you just deal with it for a few days going 0.0 knots. Also we have a lot of jerry cans because many places don't have fuel docks so the only way to get fuel is to drive inland and fill up your cans. Maybe you should have purchased a motor yacht.
Great video guys! we are heading out soon for a two year cruising(with two kids!!), watching your videos validates it so much more! cheers keep em coming and i'm still waiting for that mix tape! love the tracks!
We still have about a year or so, likely Dec 2017 or Jan 2018. Our kids will be 8 and 10. We will cast of from Florida spend a year in the Caribbean and the second in the Med. Happy Cruising!
You motored for only 4 days and drained the tanks? What if you had a gear failure and had to motor back to land? I think stacking a few more jerry cans somewhere would be a good idea.. and more solar equals better. I have seen a few boats who have solar arrays hanging out past the stern, I dont know how it would work with your Cat but it would be worth looking into....
Save fuel, run only one motor at a time. ( io. each motor burn 1 gal per hour and give 4 knots speed 1 motor burns 1 gph and give 3 knots) Not sure on your set up but you can work out the numbers via experimentation. No need to worry about the rope in the water. use other engine till you can dive in and clear it
You run out of alcohol ~ was that the Captains fault? Merry belated Christmas folks ;) If you are looking for extra crew, a good fisherman and keen cook, you know my address :) Happy safe sailing and keep the great videos coming please
Quick question if you have a moment. Is the freezer in the cockpit? My other question is a I noticed you take your outboard off before putting the RIB on the davits. Why is that? Great videos, love the story!!!
have you guys thought about getting a still to make your own alcohol...would be cheaper and an endless supply plus you could barter for things you need
I thought you seemed less tense or something after the first few days, Ryan. A hick saying here in Texas. is, "It ain't no step for a stepper." Your a stepper. But every new thing is like that it seems.
Hi I got a short video of my Samson 32 up . . you are a great inspiration..I want to get done and get back to sea so bad!!! What video editng software do you use?
Wow great video. However I can't believe you guys made such a dangerous mistake. Correct calculations of the number of litres required for a crossing is of vital importance. Over a week without booze could have cost your crew dearly. Can't wait for the next story!
When you pick up supplemental crew for bigger trips like the ocean crossings, are they just volunteers working for fun and food or do you pay them a small amount or at least send them an air ticket?
Hey thanks for the great video. Just a helpful comment, a little more narration would be helpful. Such as who was the girl who came onto the ship at the end?
Are you planing to make this a one trip. You just seem to be making crossing so fast. What is your loss time table for your curium navigation of the globe.
It must be difficult to exert discipline on a large crew (of friends) when it comes to power and water management. How about: On long passages ( more than 7 days) 1. Only charge devices when the sun is shining. 2. Water pump on for 15 mins in the morning and 15 mins in the dog watches for everyone to shower. 3. Or only have deck shower available for everyone to wash.
+Norman Boyes It is tough! In fact, I'm just writing a blog post on that now...I'll try to get that out soon on www.turftosurf.com :-). The suggestions you gave are great and things we've adhered to in tighter times...I wish we could figure out how to be strict with these things before diesel gets tight :-) - Tasha
I think the key is to have two routines, less than 7 days or more than 7 days (you choose the number could be 5). The deck shower idea is that if people are being 'watched' (not perved) they will be less inclined to waste Diesel is much more difficult - you cannot make - only store. In extremis there are pillow tanks that the military use which you could fill as insurance for a long leg. You would have to find somewhere down below suitable and it probably needs an extension to your pumping and filter rig even if a portable one that you just pump over and into a deck connection, other than that it is Jerry cans but you really need dedicated stowages and one of those clever syphon tubes that you shake rather than suck. I will shut up now.;-)
which service do you use for weather information? there is not supposed to be any wifi in the middle of the atlantic right? and is there somebody navigating at night or do you just have turned on the autopilot?
+Bären Bros we always have some sort of watch, and when we've a full crew, we aim to always have someone at the helm. Regarding internet - we have a very, very limited satellite system at sea.
Seikowski V Some seem to be more up to date, but not those that are truly underway and, as you suggest, struggling to find decent wi-fi. I only just noticed that S/V Delos was showing April *2015* and not 2016.
+Urban Deployment 5 x 150 Amp/h - I assure you, it's not enough. Well, not with six crew on board, anyway! Totally fine when it was just the two of us ;-) -Tasha
+Chase the Story Sailing I had Aerogen, hardly knew it was there. Some models I came across made one hell of a racket. also seemed to depend on how the generator was mounted.
Perhaps another "massage" for the ladies like the one in Morocco? Dang that was funny! Enjoying all you videos!
Well done guys, good crossing, great video. I'm Ex Merchant Navy. Always spoke to yachts when we came across them Deep Sea, and can't remember how many times we were asked for fuel! Hurrah for you!, I absolutely loved Xavier's Isaac Washington (the bartender from the Love Boat) T-shirt... that was awesome.
Congratulations - What an amazing accomplishment! I admit I got a little tear in my eye watching you make landfall - we've watched all of your vids and love every one - thanks for taking us along for the ride! Cheers, Dana & Patrick 😊
+Dana Guidinger Aww, that's so sweet! Thanks so much for watching, Dana & Patrick! -Tasha
Captain : keep the Spinnaker dry ! Crew : lets give it a swim :)
Nice one guys!!! Congrats for the crossing!!!! I am in love with the Helia 44! What a boat... and what a crew! Having fun all the time and enjoying a lot. What great example!
Good job guys. Glad you all made it safe.
We're so getting a cat after Tranquilo, total luxury. Nice vid once again guys! Oh and we're buying more diesel jerry cans for our Atlantic crossing!
I would never leave myself with fuel in case of a storm or say a real bad storm
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed your voyage and look forward to more! Thumbs up.
Great video yet again. Looks like you're all having great fun and it's so nice to see people really living life to the full. Keep the videos coming, enjoy yourselves and good luck on your next adventure :))
Love your vids! You are the best yachting adventure series on RUclips! Can't wait to see more of your adventures!
+Mike Sawyer Thanks! That's quite a compliment...I hope we can continue to live up to that statement! -Tasha
The shot with all of the stuff plugged in was hilarious!!!
S/V Unbridled. You captured on video the energy and commitment of the entire experience. Well done.
Great Great video, a wonderful trip, looking forward to your next video
Great adventure!! Hope for more!! It is very nice to watch!
Really enjoyed your video as always! Thanks for posting!
Great journey. Glad you made it OK. Next time stock up with more beer. LOL. regards from the UK
Awesome. Happy to see you guys crossed safely.
Amazing... OMG.. Who the hell is giving you a thumbs down? Are they crazy?
+Mickey D The ones who gripe about upside down fishing reels and chastise them for not wearing PFDs
very cool! thanks for bringing us along for the ride :)
Awesome video series! What a wonderful crew and trip/crossing. Cannot wait for what may be next in your story.
Once again great video with catchy music, good story and great editing, fantastic crew and well I am just so jealous right now. Cant wait for the next video ... Happy sailing guys

Congrats on your journey! I have really enjoyed following this adventure and will look forward to viewing the next episodes.
Congratulations on the crossing! Well done - you did it!
Another great story! So sorry you ran out of booze. Next shopping list.... More Booze and a funnel for fuel transfers!!

Congrats from Brasil...for a safe and successful passage over the Atlantic!!! Great crew, lots of fun in the 3 videos!
Not bad, that looked like a lot of fun (even though the parasailor got a bit wet :D)
Very cool video you guys - awesome story telling and great variety of content. We could learn a few tricks from you :) Happy sailing ...
An awesome video idea for next crossing would be a "My Day" video detailing what you guys get up to during a day on a crossing. Ie time between shifts and chores and general shenanigans.
Awesome video as usual .. I can't wait to see more adventures :)
Great video truly enjoy your story can't wait for the next installment.

We just got back from lots of travel and catching up on videos, congratulations on your successful crossing! We hope to catch up with you someday.
Thanks for the quick follow up and great Christmas outfits. Would love to hear more about the experience as we will be following you Dec this year. Maybe you release the sailing stats and tips follow up?? Cheers
+Lindsay Crutch That's a great idea -- I love the idea of stats and tips :-)
Love you guys... Keep on posting your journeys...
I made two Med cruises back in my USN days. Funny, how it always seemed to take us 2-3 weeks to cross the Atlantic, same as you people.
Meg is gorgeus.
well done, you 've made it guys
We have watched all your videos so far and love them. We have a boat and will be setting sail from Spain next month. From Camille
Pacific crossing...more booze, more jerry cans, and maybe more solar panels.
Great! Really enjoyed this one.
Awesome video mates, Thumbs up and Cheers from Sint maarten
I live in concordia 😃

Forget running low on diesel I have serious safety concern with your passage: you ran out of beer! Congrats on the crossing :)
Truly awesome!
Looks like a good time was had by all.
switching the fridge/freezer off actualy spends more amps. Better leave em on next time. No washing machine use though haha

Nice job!
when you arrive to the Indian ocean please visit the magical island Socotra.
You run out of alcohol ~ was that the Captains fault?
Merry belated Christmas folks ;)
If you are looking for extra crew, a good fisherman and keen cook, you know my address :)
Happy safe sailing and keep the great videos coming please
love your sailin vessel
You folks need to learn how to make your own hooch on the boat!
+Jan Mizeski Clearly!
I just can't understand how you did not have enough alcohol on board with 2 Frenchmen on the crew.
My friends and family wish you were still making videos Tasha.
Cheeky Vids...!!!! what model boat do you own????
Quick question if you have a moment. Is the freezer in the cockpit? My other question is a I noticed you take your outboard off before putting the RIB on the davits. Why is that? Great videos, love the story!!!

When you pick up supplemental crew for bigger trips like the ocean crossings, are they just volunteers working for fun and food or do you pay them a small amount or at least send them an air ticket?
Great video as always! Just an fyi, the ocean crossing 1 & 2 links at the end of the video aren't setup.
+Ted Fitzgerald thanks Ted! They are live now :)

no alcohol, yet, "its like champaign, except ... "?

+drx1 xym We saved one bottle just for Meg's bday
that was fun :-)
Please please get a drone....the birds eye views are phenomenal!
Check out S V Delos.....and also La Vagabonde
Such fun!
Question: how accurate was your fuel gauge? Did you have more fuel on arrival than you expected?
+Mike A we're not 100% sure how accurate it is and we were too busy drinking beer to remember how many liters we put in! Next time...
YAY!
Are you planing to make this a one trip. You just seem to be making crossing so fast. What is your loss time table for your curium navigation of the globe.
good JOb !
You only have one spare can?
Great video! Take more extra fuel next time.

Why don't you guys use Cessna 172 with refueling midair..it will be faster to cross the Atlantic!
Add a wind generator or better 2.
+crikycrocky the Captain hates the sound of them :(
