funny how people hate Columbus for his crimes yet nearly all the servants we summoned have committed "some" form of atrocity one way or another :P oh well, guess it's all a part presentation ~ freaky face is still awesome :D
@@Noizemaze4 Actually this gets adressed a couple times in FGO.
One time, during one of the NeroFes prologues, Caesar comments on how Rome's slave practices turned out more or less the same as everywhere else. (which he found dissapointing, as he had hoped to make it a "harsh but fair" thing)
Another I can remember was in Agartha itself. When columbus' reveal as the "evil" slaver drops, Da Vinci comments on the matter. (she said something along the lines of "servants who lived in times where slavery was a common practice often didn't fight against it because it didn't occur to them, but when they get summoned in modern times they agree that slavery is bad")
TL;DR not everyone is Spartacus. Only Spartacus gets to be Spartacus. That's what makes him (ya guessed it) Spartacus.
Since we waited years for murasme to get added to the game, I believe it's time for a murasme lore video. Whose with me? Lol

This is EMIYA worst nightmare.
See his interlude and you know what I'm talking about :D

not really bad thing I would say ~ unless it's Meglaos that's doing the snu-ing
Christopher Columbus facial expression are enough to make the demon god pillars think twice!
I could even mistake him for one
@@arks_knights I will cling to weeb pirate instead of Columbus
Ah the turn Fergus into the man of culture that he becomes singularity.
As always, I love your videos. My only critique is:
Columbus wasn't faking amnesia. He's just so big a bastard that, even with no memories, he can't help but prioritize profits. He doesn't get his memory back until he first uses his noble phantasm against Megalos
Really? I thought that was why he went after Helena.
@@OtakuDaiKun Nope he just shot her because he's mean
@@OtakuDaiKun Nope. That's also why you get the option to snark when he gets them back since, just like with Moriarty, the old guy with amnesia turns out to be a bastard the moment he gets them back.
@@Gioppdumister I suspect he was mean since oddly he was only male servant beside fergus that was summon in a female ruled singualirty. So I though something was up with him.
Cant wait for you to show me the glory of grumpy old swordsmith

The problem I find with making everyone acknowledge Mystery is that it is stated that the reason why Magecraft being as weak as it is is due to Humans rulers of their layer of the world favouring physics and deny Mystery.
Basically humans worship physics and condemn Mystery.
But if all humans acknowledged Magic, they the very rules of their World would change. In this case it can be expected that Magecraft will regain it's former glory.
For some reason it makes sense to send two trap servants into the singularity🤣
The most absurd thing about this whole chapter, to me, was that Columbus’s NP can hold Megalos. Normal Heracles can break free from the Chains of Heaven, so how does the anchor of Santa Maria, of all things, hold him in a buffed-up state?
Good reasoning. It's all cuz of Illya lol. The power of love.
For me its how Shez’s plan to dismantle the servant summoning system by making everyone aware of and able to summon servants falls apart with a single glance at Fate/Requiem which literally had a collab event with FGO or how *making something reproducible through non magical means allows it to be reproduced through non magical means*
@@Pokemaster-wg9gx She's not entirely making everyone aware of Servants though, at least not how to summon them It would more just be exposing everyone to a mystical floating isle filled with supernatural entities, which would make Mystery itself become greatly diminished.
the reason Herc was able to break the chains of heaven was because, despite his last life being taken, he revived 1 last time which removed his divinity thereby breaking the chains as the chains gain strength based on the opponents divinity level. since Herc lost his divinity the chains broke and he was able to rush down Gil, though he never actually made it due to his mana running out due to Gil killing Illya. thats why Gil complimented him in saying that he continued to surpass his own legend to the very end.
And wouldn’t a supernatural floating island make around the world people aware of the moonlit world and non-Magi scientists wanting to study it and try to make magitek? That would extinguish Mystery but belief thanks to proof would just maintain the supernatural, maybe with some alterations.
Besides, the Throne of Heroes is beyond time-space, not to talk about the uncountable Holy Grails in the multiverse.
That plan would be probably backfired even without Chaldea.
Another great video, great content! Although I am not a big fan of Faith Grand order I am pleasantly shocked how brutally honest they are with Christopher Columbus depiction.
Nice Lore video, can't wait for the next one, my favorite EOR Singularity with my best Saber, MIYAMOTO MUSASHI!
Another lore I’ve been waiting for this
honestly the thing that kills me with this specific chapter is that it doesn't really seem to tie into anything. Shinjuku brings in the whole Phantom Spirit idea and introduces Moriarty who stays an important character, SERAPH brings in BB and has a whole Beast incident in it, Shimosa straight up sets up the Lostbelt stuff, and Salem starts the whole Foreigner metaplot. Agartha just doesn't have relevance beyond itself - even though EoR is all optional content, all of them don't actually feel right to skip because you do lose context...except Agartha-
I see. Sometimes I just like a simple story. Not that I would call this simple tho.
When I summoned Wu Zetian and Astolfo in the same roll after completing this Singularity I screamed in joy.

History note;
The Wu Zetian in Fate is just Fate's version of her founded on succeeding emperors tales. Studies has shown that her kingdom prospered in her rule and had more freedoms and expanded the territory. Lots of people left poverty, especially many women. These emperors hated that she was a woman and that many women became richer and therefore had more power and therefore depicted these changes as dark times to go back to how things were before;

It’s similar to how Egyptian pharaohs would try to tear down relic and monuments built by their predecessors and replace them with their own, in an attempt to make themselves seem better, as if they’re the true god/pharaoh.
I feel like the Agartha concept had WAY more potential than what it turned out to be.
Damn dai you sure know a lot about this stuff
Another great lore video but what I liked most was saber and mash dancing in the credits
So I finally got Shishou but not only did Scathach appear but Nightingale came as well I'm worried they might have made a deal so that there will be an amputation. Something's going to happen I just don't know when. Also I'm having Deja Vu from watching this.

I have a feeling that we are getting closer and closer to "cosmos of the lostbelt"
Gonna be honest, this is the only EoR story that I ended up skipping parts of. The story could be downright infuriating at times, and Fergus just made it worse. Caster of Nightless Sky's character could have been interesting, had she not just screamed about her fears every 5 seconds. There is this thing called "show not tell" for a reason, you don't need to shove "I'm afraid of dying" into every line she has.
Also, didn't help that she insulted Romani's legacy, which I know was intentional, and I think is a good writing idea, but it only made me want to skip her dialogue even more oit of pure spite.
I remember really disliking Scheherazade for the same reasons. When I obtained her and went through her interlude, it really fixed a lot of her personality because she was trying to understand Romani by going through the singularities with us.
I especially like the scenes where she apologises to Drake and Heracles for what happened.
Why did fergus make it worse, and how does show not tell work in writting medium this isnt anime or manga its format is like a light novel where detail is necessary
@@sdbzfan1 1. Fergus did nothing but cause problems and be annoying for the cast, and wasn't likeable as a character.
2. Show not tell has been and continues to be a method used even in purely text based literature, because you can make inferences based on a characters previously known character traits and actions to understand their motives. Having her say "I'm afraid of dying" a couple times, then letting us actually see a scene of something like that happening(like having a cutscene where she does into a panic attack due to a near death experience maybe) would be fine, but she does not do that, instead, all she does is scream about being scared.
@@e-tan3911 what cutscene it's all text that's my point, this isn't manga where you can show a panel of something with no text and then the next scene show a characters reaction to what just happened, as for Fergus he really didn't do anything and didn't start turning into himself until the end when he was saving everyone, that's why to me it feels less like an actual problem and more a preference on character types, Fergus' job was protecting the master while the others fought and by the end uses his noble phantasm to save the day
@@sdbzfan1 "cutscene" was like the chapters where there are no battles, only text.
The stay night VN did this perfectly, namely the UBW picnic scene. Shirou, looking at the sky, says something along the lines of "considering all the people who died for me to be here, I don't deserve to be this happy"
Shirou doesn't say "I don't deserve happiness because I feel guilty of bring the only survivor of a fire" but it is implied, namely because we already know his tragedy, and are able to make assumptions as to what he means. Mrs. "I'm afraid of dying" says that she is scared of dying EVERY SCENE SHE IS IN. WE GET IT, YOU SAY YOU ARE SCARED, NOW GIVE US A SCENE WHERE YOU ACTUALLY ARE TERRIFIED.
Also, as for Fergus, the issue is that he only does 1 thing, and outside of that, is annoying and causes trouble for the mc. Maybe it is an issue with me not liking his character, but it still doesn't change the fact that it made my overall experience worse.
I feel like Scheherazade would've benefitted from following Unus Annus... ;P
If you think about it servants are the opposite of unus annus because the deleting of the channel instead of letting it die naturally with no uploads is like solomon Ars Novaing himself or like burning any memory of a dead person instead of how servants are imprints of dead people summoned when needed which markiplier didn’t care about how many people needed it after he deleted and basically told them he would burn any pictures they took of the dead friend unus annus
I mostly meant how she could’ve used a reminder of how death is universal and therefore isn’t something to be feared, especially to her degree. Also, it was a joke, so... 😅
@@chaosgetsuga6114 her fear was due to her viewing herself as being a tool that is eternally doomed to be forced to fight and eventually killed over and over with no end in sight. Mark’s vision of Unus Anus showing the finality and universality of death doesn’t help someone that in her view exists to be revived and killed over and over again. How Fergus handled it an Agartha is much better than just telling someone that can’t die in the unus annus sense that death isn’t scary because it comes for everyone because it doesn’t apply to her
@@chaosgetsuga6114 i also agree death shouldn’t be feared, but saying because its universal its not scary is just flat out dumb. Thats implying that anything that happens to everyone is always totally fine regardless of the context and like saying *everyone does it don’t be scared just try it* which can be easily twisted
Dai-kun never misses.
Argatha was a interesting one but my favorite is Shimosa
I feel like this was the weakest of the epic chapters. Of course it wasn’t bad and quite enjoyable (except having to deal with Megalos and Columbus) but compared to the other chapters it felt the weakest.
I feel this is the weirdest epic chapter I've ever gone through xD
This singularity screams: *Fetish*
@@KhanMann66 How?

I'M SO HYPED FOR SHIMOUSA THAT'S STILL MY FAVORITE EOR
A storybook world rules by Fate servants. Any number of stories could happen in such a world.
Welcome to Agartha, we have: Slavers, slavers, and more slavers.
Sheherazarde is probably the only servant whose depiction in the Fate franchise I genuinely dislike (I generally find Fate's take on certain legends or stories interesting). I grew reading the 1001 nights (in 2 different languages) and the impression I got of her, from start to finish, was of a brave and cunning young woman who willingly put herself in harm's way, despite her immunity (her dad was the Vizer), for the sake of others, and not some bumbling coward with zero confidence. Honestly, even though I kinda did enjoy Agartha as a whole, her character was the one thing that really frustrated me.
Yeah, I kind of want to see it animated. That would help me judge her demeanor when doing such a brave act.
I call this version of Sheherazade a slug. Cuz she looks slimy and has this really ugly shade of brown for her skin and she has no backbone.
Sucks to be Fergus, sucks to be you - UBWA Lancer
When boys vs girls dodgeball gets out of hand.
I really enjoyed this one; I really liked seeing how different rulers rule their countries and how that affects the people. Main reason why I also really enjoy the lostbelts.
wait! considering the "special nature" of this singularity (regarding males) does it make ANY difference if Ritsuka is a male OR a female...?!
Maybe that's why they gave us Fergus. They never specifically target Ritsuka as far as I know.
@@OtakuDaiKun Which is correct basically you all took Fergus with you all through the Singularity without leaving him alone. Most likely the conflict all started because you had Fergus in the party. Since he was suppose to play a role. But was miscast. Basically everyone derailed Shezcade story right from the start.
If any servent can be summoned, even fictional ones,....then I know which one to summon and win in no time! :D
All I need is M60 Machine gun, some Soellkraft 8 Gauge Shells, a double-barrel shotgun, a Bennily M4, a Ka-Bar, a chainsaw and some A great tier death metal!
I literally only beat this singularity yesterday
Y' know I've been wondering, if and when Strange\Fake gets finished and we get to summon Hippolyta, what would be her reaction to how her sister "managed" El Dorado? My guess is a no holds barred beatdown, seeing as how as far as TvTropes is telling me, for all her might in that specific form, Berserker is probably her weakest class ironically similar to Heracles.
I'm not sure. I'd have to experience more about Hippolyta's personality.
Then wait until she gets summonable and someone posts all the info attainable at max level, bond ranking, and maybe the Material book?

Fergus is such a chad
Man how much of a mess this story was from start to finish.
And no I'm not talking about the ladies and men's roles in story. That's probably one of the lesser problems in it.
The "ally" Columbus being called out immediately after we meet him. The servant enemies women die but not really while the crazy one lasts the longest in story and somehow the cutest characters are the cross dresser and body mopher.
Fergus I didn't like much and especially after the story and even the writers see how dumb it was to try to make the ship that they treat it like it was shinji and sakura getting along as kids.
Also Helena was a walking plot device
Overall if not for astolfo and Deon this story would be worthless to read. They were mvp

He split himself in two. Managed to get Sherlock and his plan was better done as well that chaldea didn't see it coming as much as Columbus who was just automatically seen as suspicious and not really a surprise when in universe figured it out.
But yeah Columbus like agartha was badly written overall and can't be justified as how bad agartha was like ealry year 1 fgo writing.
that intro. I dont know if that was an innuendo or notm.
SO i just went through the Valentines event and discovered to my surprise and amusement that Fergus is rather Open minded and brags about it when it comes to sex and is more then willing to give his master the all night Fergus treatment.
I'm not remotely surprised lol
@@OtakuDaiKun Me too but i was surprised they gave this treatment torwards the male master with Japan's reputation for being coy with this stuff. Like I was blown away.
@@homunculus7 Oh wait, so Fergus is down to go down on male Ritsuka? Didn't realize that.
Why would she pull one of the most scary servants in berserk herakles? From Chaldeas perspective he's damn near unkillable through conventional means. So get me Mordred with her buff from the Camelot singularity. We need servants with NPs capable of shaving off multiple of his 12 lives simultaneously
The one thing that did not make sense to me about this singularity was the fact that Scheherazade summoned 4 servants FROM CHALDEA to this singularity:Helena,Fergus,Drake and Heracles
First of HOW did she do it?Those servants have been summoned by us and thus we have a contract with them, how can she just pluck them from Chaldea and put them in the singularity
Second,WHY did she do it,why was it necessary to summon specifically the instances of those heroic spirits that were at the service of Chaldea?
It's not like there is a moment in wich one the servants summoned there recognizes us as being their master and joins us
Would it not have acomplished the same thing to just summon them from the throne normally? She changes them anyway
Why was the fact that those servants are from Chaldea relevant? Why was it a plot point?Seems weird to me
Shoot, I can't remember if there was a good reason. I know the god pillars are targeting Ritsuka but how that would be more effective is beyond me.
I think I'm gonna toss my buff boy a couple grails to make him gold. Can't have too many sabers lol.

One thing threat still confuses me.
Its said that what happened during the singularity were real (for nasuverse anyway), but that it would create an alternate explanation for what happened.
In that case, what happened in this one? Men were falling through the sky i think, and then kidnapped. But what was *OUR* historical one?
I think that's why these were called pseudo singularities. The logistics of it still confuse me actually.

Sorry if this has already been asked or answered, but if this was meant to affect the real world, where did the men come from?
Edit: specifically, if it operates the same way as singularities did where irl history would change after it was done, how it explained the irl men. Because the closest thing I can think of is the war in the middle east, but that happens a few years later.

Agartha was among my favorites storylines on FGO. 😊
When you said Demon "God Phenex".
I thought you meant "Demon God FedEx"
Except that you pronounced her np wrong... Alf Layla wa layla
My Fave among all the EOR Stories. 🥰
Ah yes the literal worst FGO chapter who’s entire plot is made irrelevant by 3 things
1. The fucking existence of Fate/Requiem which FGO literally has a collab event with
2. The fact that something no longer being considered magic because its fully reproducible through non magical means...means its still *fully reproducible*
3. Ramming a fucking mountain sized mass into the ground at the massive speeds La Puta was going would cause much more problems than shez expected if not being a fucking extinction level/planetary destruction level event
Fergus carried the entire chapter and megalos was kinda cool so its not an entire bust but *what the fuck nasu* does he just forget what he approves or does he not care about lore continuity at all?
*aside from the time he literally joked about Solomon incinerating the lorebooks with the rest of human history*
My absolute favorite remnant. Sooo good, soooo funny, sooo interesting and surprising!
It seems to be a somewhat unpopular opinion it seems. It appears that a lot of the criticism is in relation to how many of the characters and themes are handled particularly examples being how Drake was treated. I've never played this chapter, so I can't properly say what my real opinions are on it, so I'll ask you what you thought about this remnant in greater detail.

Nice video, but El Dorado ain't Spanish, it's a South American myth!
Just played the Salem singularity. I was so happy that medea was finally getting the spotlight but I guess she is just the entire franchise's shit pile. God I'm salty about that one.
Nasu already said all the fsn units won't be in main story chapters. So it's easy to see why she wasn't much in story.
You know aside his exceptions like curse arm who wasn't much of a character in fsn
@@ivanbluecool neither was she. I mean she gets like 4 total minutes of screentime in all 3 series.
@@zombieblood1675 ubw she was basically the main enemy for the majority of the route. Took saber and emiya so I don't know what you are talking about.
Fsn she was here then gone after Gilgamesh came while the anime gave her some extra brains in taking sakura as why she is left out of kidnapping is beyond me. Even Gilgamesh in ubw could have used her if he needed good circuits and he knows she is a monster inside before anyone ever figures it out.
HF yeah even the manga couldn't help her.
If you want character just try Medea lily
@@ivanbluecool otaku dai kun has a video on medea's character and it's not so simple. Actually that's my point in all of the routes she barley makes an appearance and we learn nothing about her character. All we see is evil maniacal witch and that isn't really representative of her character so I was hoping we'd see some more characterization in Salem but circe showed up. Hell carnival phantasm and tonight's menu for the emiya household developed her more as a character.
Edit: medea lily is fine but kinda a standard sweet and innocent loli so I prefer her adult counterpart.
@@zombieblood1675 read hollow ataraxia then. Sounds like you went straight from fsn to fgo as hollow ataraxia has so much character that emiya San takes from and shows the original Medea lily from the ubw anime as we see soichirou go into more detail on medeas dream to go home but how she was more happy with soichirou as he treated he nicely.
Also if you want to see her wish come true go play unlimited codes as you see what happens if Medea wins the war and shows her love in depth.
Fgo is more so big sis Medea where we see her inner dream of still wanting to be that innocent Girl and then some with Circe oba San from the backstory.
