Gare du Nord - Eurostar and hire car offices

“See the world through our eyes” as we see the Eurostar and pick up a hire car from Gare du Nord.
Gare du Nord (Paris - Nord) is one of six main train stations in Paris, France. It is Europes busiest train station and is the 3rd largest station in the world.
Located in the 10th arrondissement the station services the north of France but connects to the other six stations through the metro.

▫️Eurostar
Gare du Nord is the station for the Eurostar to and from Paris. If leaving from Paris allow time to ‘check in’ and go through customs, there are lounges on the upper level to wait. For more information about the procedures, prices, timetables and services visit

▫️Hire car offices
We found Gare du Nord an easy place to pick up a hire car. All main hire car companies are located here. We chose to use Europcar as they were the best priced at the time of booking and had the car we wanted with automatic transmission. Most hire cars in Europe tend to be manual transmission. The hire car companies are all located in the same office area, this can be accessed from within the terminal by taking an escalator down to the lower level.
We recommend Europcar but check the other car hire companies pricing and availability. We find that whichever hire car company you choose if you join as a member there are additional discounts and benefits for members.
Additional tips
▫️Use the Waze app as your navigation. Car navigation systems are not always accurate and up to date with regards to new roads.
▫️Gare du Nord Is not the nicest area In Paris, many hotels nearby have small rooms. We recommend a stay at hotel Okko Gare de L’est, which is an easy 10 minutes walk from Gare du Nord
