Yelawolf discussed his experience on Missy Elliott's reality show, "The Road to Stardom," and his subsequent music career. After auditioning in Atlanta and making it onto the show, Yelawolf felt 'hoodwinked' by the reality TV antics and poor-quality tracks. He was eliminated after challenging the authenticity of a beat made by record producer Dallas Austin. Despite this, Yelawolf insists that he is the only successful participant in the show. After his ejection, he released his independent album "Creek Water" in 2005, but it failed to gain traction. Despite several setbacks, including an unsuccessful mixtape, he eventually found his voice. His breakthrough came when he moved to Atlanta and began performing on the underground scene, leading him to sign with Columbia Records through Ghet-O-Vision in 2007.
Didn’t this guy beef with Royce 5’9” over some racist stuff?
When I first heard that Trunk Muzik mixtape I instantly became a fan of him and Rittz
One of the more underrated emcees of this generation. Yela is extremely complex with his flow and wordplay, and the energy is crazy. People sleep heavily on this guy.
Wolf is actually underrated artist at first I didn’t like any of his stuff but the more I listen to it I was like OK this dude can flow this dude’s got some talent. He’s one of the most misunderstood musical artist out there.
Wolf is one of the most underrated rappers dude spits bars and has his own style
“Artistically it did… for me” is such a great sentence to hear from an artist.
Him and Caskey's blacksheep album needs to be heard. If you don't like Yelawolf, then you never heard Black sheep. Go ahead try just the intro
Perfect example failure is part of the road to real success! Salute

First time I heard Kickin' I was hooked. Appreciate you for this one, Vlad.
Thank u for this gem @VLADTV
For producers to purposely screw up his recording to make him look unfit and able to cut off the show is totally some Hollywood BS!
