I love Yelawolf . Yes he's so underrated. I haven't heard him that much so I can pick a verse.
The interviewer was so good. No disrespectful interruptions. No unnecessary questions
Thank you. Because Yelawolf to me is an ICON.
yeah he is!!
Far from an Icon.
15:05 for biggest disagreement with Eminem.

Faith in humanity restored. You’re a gentleman and a scholar.

I'm a HUGE Eminem fan and I discovered Yelawolf thanks to him. And I must say he is one of the best even though nobody seems to recognise that. I'm glad Shady saw his talent, even if sales were not always the best and such. Great interview.
Shady picked a winner for shure
@@nicholasbastardo2318 Yela was a winner long before he signed with Em ... his underground shit is straight fire 🔥 . Go check out his older shit and Colabs with Struggle ( before Strugg did his fed time ) , Jelly , Ritz , tech 9 ..... !!

Who else has been a Yelawolf fan for over 10 years? 🖐

Cant say it's been 10 years but found "Kickin" on the tube and been a fan ever since. Too many good songs to list

I need 3 more years
I'm going to see him perform live in two months.. cant wait
Most underrated and overlooked lyricist. I recommend someone who don’t believe me to go listen to all his music then come back
I mean he is underrated, but not most underrated.
I met him in Decatur Alabama about 13yrs checking out beats at my friend's studio. He's an extremely down to earth guy and very intelligent. All around cool dude. I highly doubt he remembers me or even my friend. But it was a cool day,a looong time ago.

Thank you
Roberto Canelo you welcome
His music ages well, he seems to have gotten much better as time goes on
Who else wishes the interview was longer?
I watched it a few times, I can listen to my fave all day long he's so mesmerising.
hell yeah me
fuck yeah instead of scattered released
I’m surprised ghetto cowboy wasn’t even mentioned especially being his latest record. I was hoping to hear a little about it but yes definitely wish it was at least a couple hours long. I love listening to Yela Jelly Struggle etc talk about the hard times and their success and come up!
Great interview!!
Great to hear a new yela interview
Love Yelawolf. Still can’t believe I watched this whole thing without clicking off in the first 5min
This interview went so well, you can tell the man behind the camera is a huge shady records fan. He added so much to this in terms of support. Great Video HipHopDX!
Besides the deafening hyena laughs from the interviewer
Man I thought they’d talk about trial by fire, that albums criminally underrated
I think this was my favorite of his so far and it never is talked about
@@CMClaudio1989 100%%!
Facts
first cd I went and bought from the store in over 10 years just to support this man bc his music means so much to me
That has to be the best album from his time at shady records …( that’s my favorite album from yelawolf)
So basically Yelawolf s saying he wants to be his own man and Artist and not sit in the shadows of Eminem..... respect it💯💯
dion smo shadows of Eminem 🤔 sounds pretty shady to me 😭😭 pun intended
Trunk Muzik is still a dam classic....Love Story is my favorite shit from him though
Eklypised - Love Story, imo, is one of the most complete, yet underrated, albums ever.
Love story was my first time listening to wolf. Love that album, his best for me too
trunk muzik and love story are pretty impossible to compare for me. They represent his two sounds - the super raw ghetto energy on trunk muzik and the laid back dixie flow on love story. If i had to pick one i would say trunk muzik just because he was nothing at that point and didnt have the resources and features he had on on love story. Would love a love story sequel (besides hotel which is great) but maybe two albums down the line since he just did ghetto cowboy which is in that style
I love trunk muziks ill raps and flows. But love story is by far my favourite album. It’s a masterpiece 👌🏽
bombus He had Gucci, Bun B and Raekwon...
Thats crazy empty bottles is that old, one of his best songs by far
Nozge
Right?! Im barely 22 😂
@Greg B No Tennessee Love?
@Greg B now that his new caskey collab album dropped, would you revise this list? I dont see how at least a few on your list, need to get swapped out.
2 yr old interview and I still cant stop watching YW articulate his "realness" and loyalty to his fans and his upbringing. Respect for real. Love this man.
this guy is a real diamond in the rough
My husband & I met him & his beautiful wife earlier this year. We didn't know who he was. We were just hanging out & talking about life. He is such a genuine, good human being. My husband respects him so much! I adore him!
Best Yelawolf interview ever
And he rarely does them.
Big up
This was a great interview. Lots of good questions asked
His accent is not as thick as I thought it was. Its more noticeable when he raps
Fellow Alabamian here- the southern accent in Alabama in particular is odd. As in, people from the bigger cities -Mobile, Huntsville, Birmingham--- have significantly weaker souther drawls. Our southern "accent" is exposed in our vernacular and slang terms. The smaller towns are more apt to embrace the southern trademark accent, therefore producing the folks who sound hella country!
Some people play up on accents or voices when they rap
Yelawolf sounds like boosie on a song with a heavy twang then sounds more lowkey when he talks normally
Thanks for giving the platform to a real one to speak his mind and tell his southern stories. He as an artist means so much to me, it's almost unreal... Looking forward to the next one, hopefully in 2020
It's Yela about the greatest artist? One of my favorites...
He is the only person my wife and I see every year
I've been a fan since high school, I'm 29 years old now! He is so underrated OMG

Fuuuuck, his smile is so cute. I have so much respect for Michael. Been following him since 2010. Ghetto Cowboy is an epic album. It grows on you. By the way, to the fellow Yelawolf
fans:If you haven't heard Slum Trap with Catfish Billy and CookupBoss, then you're missing out!
I was never really a fan of Yelawolf nor his music but this interview changed my perception of him. Dude is humble and talented.
Thanks for the interview, you guys looked up for real and good question, maybe a lot of Eminem in the conversation, but it shows that you guys care for the artist you're talking to.
Dope ass interview, but that laugh homie.... gotta find a way around that.
I love yalls simplicity of interviews and questions. Bravo guys.
Wish we could see more collaborations with Em and Yela
I'm pretty sure there will be more in the future. There is alot of respect and professional integrity between them. I bet they will collab at least once in the next few years.
Pass.. Em killed slaughterhouse
@@marcmiller722 Em did everything he could for the group lol. They didn't blow like they wanted, you cant blame eminem entirely for it.
@@shadyxi3217 em could've stayed out of the way and let them do what they do. Listen to their first shady release and you'll hear eminem's bs influences on some records. Even on yelawolfs first release
@@marcmiller722 yelawolf and slaughterhouse both said Em let them do their own thing and didn't get in the way of making the music a ton.
Y’all disappointed me. I’ll be that guy though.
15:10 is where they talk about the biggest disagreement Yelawolf had with Eminem. Like so other people can skip to that part if that’s the only thing they want to hear. Overall great interview though.

great interview, awesome questions! good shit
Shit makes me proud to see yeler get the shine hes always deserved! I been fkn wit wolf since trunk muzik 1 dropped and ive watched his artistic growth from a great unsigned rapper to one of the greatest songwriters and musicians of the 80s babies generation in hiphop and in music in general. His platform has changed many times but hes always remained true to himself and the music he wanted to create. Hes grown but only for the better.. one of the few that NEVER sold out. For that he will always have my respect. N if u dont know bout yeler, yall better start diggin in the crates and find the fuck out.. ur sleepin on one of the most authentic and talented musicians of our time.
Yela got that southern style rap you can't find anywhere else. It's such a good tune.
Im so glad ed didnt sing American you. Thats yelawolfs best singing! So good!
To be honest I came for M but after listen to him being so nice and far from arrogant.. interest to know his music more.. and then what.. Fallin in love.. become a fan now.. wish the interview much longer.. 🥰🥰🥰
Love story, trunk music etc... there is a lot to listen too... you'll be hooked!!!
I Wanna hear Eminem recite “pop the trunk”

Yela's songs take me places only real music can.. I swear to god I've been playing Ghetto Cowboy in a loop for weeks now, It's the kind of albums that give me strength, and give me the power to keep going and not give up.
I love Yelawolf! I can listen to him all day everyday. Ive met him recently he was very nice and I even got a hug from him.
I was asked once that if I could only listen to one artist or band for the rest of my life who would I pick and why. I had never thought about it but without a second of hesitation I said Yelawolf. Why? Versatility. Hip Hop, Blues, Country, Punk Rock. Free verse poetry to make you think, intricate ballads that will make you tear up, bass heavy tracks for the Chevy and club bangers. Don't even get me started on the beat progression of his tracks. Respect is given when its deserved and he's earned more than what he's been given.
Watching this interview is my favourite thing do nowadays. ❤️
Omg that story about the bully in high school 😂

I'm late to the party. I just started going down the YelaWolf rabbit hole! I was turned onto "country rap" in 2015 when I stumbled upon Ryan Upchurch on YT when I was bored at my office job one day. When I was 15 (in the 80s), I was sneaking into The Park Elevator in Charlotte NC to see Antiseen shows & Judas Bullethead shows. Blew my mind!! So, I've always had respect for the underground, independent artists. I was mostly Outlaw country & metal then, 90s country (& Nascar races) then Hank 3 & Jesco White & the Avett Brothers. Now, thanks to Church (CREEKSQUAD), I found ACal, Tom Macdonald, Struggle Jennings, Burden, Bryson Gray & Mesus & many more! Now, I found YelaWolf! Music has always been so important to me. I love the soundtrack of my life. 🎶📻🎸🎻🥁🎙
