My final comment of one my favourite 80s Soul funk Latino jazz fusion tracks ever by Billy Crystal You look Marvellous Shades of Mell Brooks To be or not to be Brilliant old skool comedy
The 80’s had the BEST instrumental music to keep the dance floor litty, starting with “Planet Rock.” The Smurf is on my playlist AND there was actually a dance called the Smurf back then🕺🏽
Thanks a lot, so nostalgic, romantic and cool, I adore 1980’s. Always imagined exactly this Breakdancing pictures, from early 1980’s, when listening to this cosmic, beautiful song, in Sci-fi theme; Tyrone Brunson - The Smurf.
Can anyone tell me who the heck was that funny old man dancing in the crowd was at the end of the video? He was hilarious! He really looked like he was having a ball too!! (he also looked strangely familiar too).
This isn't the official video to The Smurf. I just got finished watching the music video that had Tyrone Brunson in it. This right here is the video to Beat Street Strut by Juicy.
*freeze frame* you’re probably wondering how I got here. Well it all started when I was listening to “Made You Look”, by Nas. At the end of the first verse, I came across the lyric “do the Smurf, do the WOP, baseball bat. Rooftop like we bringing 88 back.” I consulted RUclips to see what those old school dances looked like, and here I am. I still have no idea what the Smurf is, but this weird ass video was satisfying enough.
I've been trying to figure out what the Smurf officially is too. Every video about the dance is filled with comments about how "that ain't no smurf, where you from?"
Is the original Smurf dance actually in here somewhere? At 2:44 is she doing part of it? Or is that a different move? If so, what's it called? It looks familiar!
Old and still good l have been listening to these songs for more than 30 years . 56years now
At 51 years old still inside me...the beats like no other ..the 80s rocked 🤘😇🤘
I can still rock to this in 2021 at age 56!
40 years old and I feel the same, I still rock the old school.
55 years old and I feel the same, still love and rock the old school
Believe me, it also works in 2024! Let's have a Breakdance Party!
