Nice and tidy . Partridge feathers are a nightmare. I’m pretty new to tying so only finding that out. I’ve been using partridge spider hooks, but this looks good on the wet fly hook
Hi David. Partridge feathers can be fragile, especially when you are trying to tie smaller flies. Not much you can do about it other than take your time and be willing to break a few feathers. I also have some of the Partridge Spider hooks, and use these when I want the fly to fish slightly higher in the water. The wet fly hooks will tend to fish a little deeper and are also good if there is a chance of connecting with a larger fish. Tight lines.
