Absolutely nothing will happen. He and other experts have been saying this for decades. Deep nexus between politicians and builders. The rot runs very deep. Karnataka corruption knows no bounds and it’s now irreversible. Political parties are not interested in nation building in India. All of them. They only do cosmetic changes and run PR campaigns to win the next election. Most are only interested in Hindu-Muslim, parochialism, love jihad, hijab banning. They only care about optics and get away with it because general public is extremely credulous and appeal only to irrational emotions. India is not a place for critical thinking or scientific temperament.
Just Like using an on grid solar power plan with electricity and having a net metering system, why can't we implement a Net metering system with Rain harvesting, properly purified Rain water can be passed back to Water supply lines which will undoubtedly help BWSSB on reducing there electricity bill to pump water to Bangalore form TG halli
In electronic ciy there is a drain which is 15feet in width approx and 10 ft below the road level. Next to drain there is veersandra lake. There is a difference of approx 20feet between the lake and the highway road. Stilll the engineer has not been able to direct the rain water in the lake. Forget the lake the water doesnt even reach the drain properly. 15 mins of heavy rain is enough for a flood. Wondering wat type of engineering must hav been done here for water to get flood in 15 mins of heavy rain. The water just needs to be directed down.
can you share the link where I can see the map handing behind. Not sure if it's related to the topography, annual precipitation or water pathway. Will like to see it in detail.
Hindi central govt provides only 3.75% of the income generatted by karnataka for maintenance & development, where as hindi states like bihar get 300% of the income generated by the state, how can you maintain the infra & do development with only 3.75% when bihar is unable to do with 300% allocation of its income.
What was the Karnataka government and bbmp doing for so many years ? Eating money and sleeping ? No regulation .Uneducated brutes running government and bbmp . What to expect
DCM of Karnataka is richest politician in India. How did he make money? What's his contribution to Karnataka? Even after heavy rain disaster Congress government is busy in Channapatna elections. One side freebies are destroying the state.
Hindi central government…😂 innovative way of dividing .. pls go to the nation where you have kanaadiga central govt. … ohhh you don’t have any 😅.. anyways best of luck .. try hard but you won’t get due to this chhoti soch ..
We need to give bureaucrats other avenues of getting bribes. This is the only way other than hiking their salaries 20x Expecting Human behaviour to change is not wise

What a stupid comment. He didn't say there is no oxygen in Bangalore, he said in order to offset the carbon dioxide emissions in Bangalore, we need 7 trees for every 1 person.
You have a disease and it's called shortsightedness. A city cannot be truly urban without clean air and water and lots of safe spaces for your children. He didn't say shut down IT industry and stop building roads. He said we should leave the important areas for water security untouched. Think of it as defense land that is needed for India's security.
Just like you do not go around building IT industries and mine the shit out of border areas, army training camps, etc. in the same way you should strictly leave the water catchment areas in pristine condition. You can have a lot of development and still leave these areas pristine.

Amazing podcast, more of these
I hope the authorities take the measures suggested by such enthusiasts seriously.
The problem is people do not question authorities and put case on them
They won't. Half of them running the government and half educated , won't understand and busy fighting their own stupid scams
He's not an enthusiast. A scientist with decades of experience in his chosen area of research.

The problem with these Podcasters is that we don't get numbers.
We are mistaking colonial mindset as a problem. Colonialism has left india. It is the feudal system which is the culprit for the problems in India.
Authority of town planning has completely failed.
A major portion of money goes to pockets of corrupt officials...😢
It should be short and to the point. It could have broken into two or three topics.
no sir you are wrong, we have planned the city properly, we just forgot to teach kannada to everyone, problem solved.
hahahha
Go back where you came from , if you have problem with Kannada
Nothing nothing is ever going to happen. Unless these govt officials are affected they will remain cold and sleep over everything. Silicon valley 😅
This is what Modi means when he says "Development " 😂

Look at the political class in Karnataka - these fellows even understand these concepts? Third-class loafers and looters only for self-service.
Stop sending sewage water to ponds , lake and streams. It stinks 😂😂😂😂
Biocon sending to som lakes near electronic city

Is he really a professor? He said no oxygen in Bangalore because we have 1 tree for 7 people; how do people live in the Sahara desert then?
What a stupid comment. He didn't say there is no oxygen in Bangalore, he said in order to offset the carbon dioxide emissions in Bangalore, we need 7 trees for every 1 person.
In sahara desert carbon emissions population is very less compared to Bengaluru.
