If China builds the batteries here in the Us ( or any other product ) they will get around having to pay current tariffs and future increased tariffs that Trump is planning and the Chinese know it.
I just wish the US would sever all economic ties with China. There once was a time when even electronics were mfd here in the US. But our mfg has been hollowed out.
