Years ago, I read a book and watched a few videos on Swedish Death Cleaning. I’m nowhere near death, but it was eye opening. We have offloaded 80% of our 30+ years of marriage and raising a family. Once I realized I didn’t want to burden my kids, it was pretty easy.
Great advice Warren. One piece of advice that I would offer is don't assume that most of the things you own would be wanted by your kids. Just because it has value to you doesn't mean it's important to your children. Maybe discuss this with them while you're making the move to downsize.
I swear RUclips is listening to my conversations! I’m at my grandparents house and they’re both in their 90s. They haven’t downsized yet other than offloading 2 of their cars.
Senior use their homes as ATMs when selling. Cash out and let the next generation overpay for the home and move to somewhere cheaper. That's the senior way. Rip off the next generation on your way out the door
Many may be like that ,BUT I CERTAINLY AM NOT. MY children are the most important gift I possess, thanks to God Almighty 🙏 ❤. I have a heart that breaks for children who have scumbags for Parents, they not only let their children down, they disappoint our Father, and that's a tragedy. Many may not be able to help their grown children but they damn well should try to, and other young people as well. Our country and indeed the world has lost their way, pray that this Easter Many will find the way to the cross.
