Bonjour! As a young French photographer, it's truly inspiring to witness the creative process of other artists. The dedication, passion, and skill that goes into producing beautiful and meaningful images is something that I deeply admire. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for sharing your work with the world - your quality and sensitivity are evident in every piece you create. Your art has not only moved me, but has also inspired me to continue pursuing my own photography journey. Merci beaucoup and keep going ! 🙏✨
Quite strange to watch you taking pictures and filming places I know. I was looking forward to this video to see what pictures you would take of the city I live in. Your eye is amazing. I loved these 12 minutes. It's great that you want to continue to document more of your photo experiences like this !
Hey Faizal, I just gotta say that you're doing it different than anyone else right now and I really believe you deserve a lot more recognition for the art you create is photos AND your videos. The feeling of life I get from your videos isn't something that I don't get anywhere else and it's truly amazing what you're doing. I'm always looking forward to your new work and it always inspires me to get out there and do more myself.
Really great story telling in not only your photos, but in your videos as well. I like how you allow the viewer to linger upon the scene and not cut away too quick. Also, your use of framing and reflections create really impactful images, something I need to do more in my street images. I think your headed in the right direction and just looking at the videos made after this one, you added more videos that I'm excited to dive into. Paris has always been on my list to visit, hopefully some day.
Your work has this inspiring vibe that's also incredibly calming. I really look forward to seeing your next video - it's always a treat to see what you've come up with.
That "new" direction sounds great. I love when you share your thoughts, knowledge, and experiences, whether it be directly photography related or otherwise.
It’s interesting how you’ve mentioned after a week you start to slow down and try to focus on shooting different things. I’ve been in Japan for over a month now and things are starting to get repetitive. Commuters walking to work and home, people riding bikes, kids going to school, etc. I know you can try and shoot things from a different perspective but it still feels a bit mundane. For me as a street photographer, I’m always hoping to find interesting and unique interactions amongst themselves. And that right there is not easy. It takes so much time and patience. I’m sure you understand what I’m saying. I’m going to be here for about 90 days total. I hope to find some new inspirations because it’s mentally difficult at the point. Watching other photographers like you on RUclips and going over other photo books definitely helps. Good luck in Paris. If you can give me any tips then I would be grateful.
Hi! Thank you for such beautiful and interesting video of my favorite city! I love black and white stylistic! Also you do very interesting composition in your pictures
i love this vidfeo format! traveling and povs of just photographing and documenting. thats the feeling we all like. and you telling you experiences and opinions is so soothing. thank u :)
This is such a great video! Being a local, it's so inspiring to see how you've captured Paris, both in video and photography. I was having trouble finding new inspiration as I know these streets so much, and your video was just what I needed, so thank you so much for sharing it! PS: it was a pleasure meeting you in the streets of Paris!
man don't stop the way you are documenting and telling stories from a photographer's perspective. another thing that is, your style of photographing is very captivating.
Hey Faizal, wonderful video (as always!). As a long time Parisian, now living abroad for some years, your video is making a very important point that is the elephant in the room. An irresistible photo is not about something that everybody already sees. No one cares about seeing a new photo of the Tour Eiffel, the Sacré Coeur or any other famous landmarks of Paris. If I want good touristy pictures, I buy a Lonely Planet guide, a National Geographic issue or a coffee-table book. When travelling, every camera owner unfortunately wants to prove that they're there ("hey I'm in Paris, could you believe it?"), and not that they're living the moment there. Your photos and the experience you share here (and in so many your exquisite videos) are a strong case of what it means to actually be a photographer, and not a camera owner. Long life to your channel!
Love your channel but I’m new to it just wondering what you do for a living I must admit I’m jealous about you ability to travel the world and take photos.
As a french Canadian , Paris is one of my favorite city. The only advice i could give to you it's to walk ,walk and walk again ! to discover and take amazing pictures . If you want to practice your french after this trip , you should come to see us in Montréal during the summer season, you will find the "french touch" again in North America near your home. Enjoy ! Mon ami ! 😊
This new video format you’ve done and are thinking about continuing is great! Love it. Favourite video you’ve done so far. I especially like how you talk about the feeling of the city itself, having just come back from taking photos with my XE4 in Italy and Spain I resonate with what you said.
I saw your video and how you wandered in the true Marrakech ! You want the same feeling in Paris ? Try the 18-19-20-10 th districts ! The North East districts are amazing for street photography ! More diversity, social mix, less touristy, really something else than the Marais !
I live in Uk but go to Paris 3/4 times a year. Its timeless for photography. There is a smaller version of the Statue of LIberty on the Seine a while further that the Eiffel Tower. Worth a visit as there are great images to be taken on the approach to it and around.
Fabulous takes! Yes, Paris is big and overwhelmingly stunning to roam around and capture snaps of moments (and life)! As a fan of your work, I look forward to viewing this beautiful city's incredible photographs on your photographic canvas! Cheers.
Been following since your 20k sub days, your videos have always inspired me to grab my camera and go out to shoot! Recently got a leica m10p can’t wait to try it on the streets!
The Marais is a good starting point, but I would recommend you go up to Paris' North. Try the area around Belleville and the Parc des Buttes Chaumont - absolutely mandatory point of the city! - then walk a bit more in direction of the Canal de l'Ourcq and to the Parc de la Villette. This was the area I lived in for three years and I think you're really going to love it!
this was a fantastic video! It really made me miss my short time in Paris and the photowalk i did w/ some friends. I think your document/pov videos have always been a hit, glad you'll be keeping this format!
Wow these shots are incredible man, I haven't really seen anything like this before, truly amazing. I've recently picked up a fuji x100v so I'm going to buy your course to learn more about my camera. I'm also looking to pick up one of your analog preset packs, which one should I buy if I want to get the exact same styled black and white you had for most of the shots in this video? Thanks bro.
I really enjoyed this video! I'm really familiar with the overwhelming feeling of being in a new massive city, and I think you really managed to capture moments and details of everyday life in a beautiful way. I like your documentary style and I'm looking forward to your next video!
Great video Faisal & very timely. Will be in Paris for the first 3 days of August, then a few days in Lyon, board our boat for a one week riverboat vacation, end in Arles the on to Barcelona. Going to rewatch the video for the small details. Thanks.A little nervous about shooting with a lot of people around.
Love this style of video, feel like they really help me whenever I find myself in a creative rut. Makes me wanna experiment with reflections more! For sure one of my favourite creators/photographers. All the best man! 🫶
I really enjoy this format. I learn a lot from just watching how you approach each subject. I would also appreciate if you mentioned the cameras used in the video description.
If you decide to shoot Monmartre and Sacré-Cœur Basilica I would suggest taking a Metro not a cab BUT get off the Metro a stop or two and walk up the back streets.
When you go in a new place you should do like a vlog on how you approch the new city, the best places to go and what time to go, where you can find interesting things, where you took your best pictures...like a street photography guide. I know it's a lot a work 🙂it's just an idea.
Haha, I like the idea, but it's hard to make a guide about a place I don't know either! I do have ideas of making some guide for Boston as that's the city I grew up in and know enough to make a guide on ;)
Good MOrning. Les Marais is the heart of the historic Jewish Quarter. Nearby is the Jewish Museum and the Picasso Museum. Must see stops if you have the time. The Beaubourg area by the Pompidou is worth experiencing for people watching. There is a Banksy art piece on an overhead sign at the corner of the Pompidou just before you cross the street. Having spent months in Paris, I can picture a week would make one’s head spin because there is so much. If possible, going into the Louvre when it opens is the best way to experience the museum. Most likely you do not have the time, but a train ride to Fountainbleau is well worth it. It is about 45 minutes south of Paris. Ok, I could write a book for you of which streets to walk, cafes to visit, etc. Enjoy Faizal. Regards…Wayne
Faizal! I love your videos man! Just wondering what profile you use when you edit your pictures with your presets? Is it the standard adobe colour, or do you use a fuji camera profile?
I'm a long time subscriber and love what you do, so while I appreciate you want to keep the channel fresh with new and absorbing content, but if I could throw in my 2 cents worth.. don't stray too far from the yellow brick road, the Emerald City is not such a bad place.. as I say, just my take for what it's worth!
Great video as always, man! Would love to know your focus mode, aperture, etc. basically a video detailing your process and tips. Would be super helpful. Do you use single point, wide area, etc. I’d be curious. I’ve been experimenting with range focus on my xt5 and it’s a bit confusing.
I'd love to know your process for curating your photos from a trip like this. I can imagine coming home from a stay in Paris with 1000's of photos. I always struggle with deciding which ones are the one's to share.
As an amateur street photographer, I watch all of your videos for inspiration. A question though: I sometimes crop my photos for the sake of composition and I also often straighten the horizon. Is that "cheating"?

This was absolutely beautiful
Yes it is, you two are both inspiration to me, keep a look out for my next video
thank you friend 🫶🏼
I posted!
This new format is intentional and I'm here for it.

I just LOVE all the concept of the video.

As with your Morocco video, great video and photos. I am really enjoying the direction your videos are taking. The subtle music is very nice.
Go with your gut sir. This was a great video, and if you want to do more of these, you won’t hear me complaining 🤩
the b/w shots in the beginning are giving me wes anderson vibes, great work!
Hi! Thank you for such beautiful and interesting video of my favorite city! I love black and white stylistic! Also you do very interesting composition in your pictures
This was really soothing after a long day. Helped me sparked my creativity. 💯
Always a pleasure to watch your video and see your vision for images.
can't wait for the next video about Paris because this one was a masterpiece.
Your POVs are always the best, I want to see more from Paris!
This was so beautifully documented. So inspired after watching it
Thanks for sharing your beautiful creative process and travel photography

Going to Paris next weekend. Had to stop by to get Westcott-talent inspiration-infused.
So I'm just chilling indoors and now I'm in Paris with you 😂👌🏾
please do this more, you're so talented!

Thank you for this video! I was in a rut with my photography and had no inspiration for it. This definitely sparks inspiration.
love your photos!! I‘m always having enjoyed watching it.

Really love the morocco and paris series!
Really loved and got a good amount of inspiration from this, thank you Faizal! Paris looks amazing
Beautiful, Faizal! Enjoy Paris.

A very interesting video and, as usual, very appropriate and pleasing musical scoring.

Hi Faizal, I really appreciate this video!
this was a fantastic video! It really made me miss my short time in Paris and the photowalk i did w/ some friends. I think your document/pov videos have always been a hit, glad you'll be keeping this format!
I'm in for more videos like this one, for sure!
love the photo of the man at 8:17

great insight into what happens psychologically when you photograph a new city.
Thank you friend!
Nicely done. You gave a great perspective of your first time in Paris. Keep it going.
I really enjoyed this video! I'm really familiar with the overwhelming feeling of being in a new massive city, and I think you really managed to capture moments and details of everyday life in a beautiful way.
I like your documentary style and I'm looking forward to your next video!
Capture beautifully
Hi Faizal, do you use the 35mm for video as well or just stills? I love how you focus on details, i need to that more often
curious what focal length you shot with in the beginning. Loved the video!
Do you record POV with gopro + chest mount?
Great video, i would love to go back to paris again sometime
C'est magnifique Monsieur 🍷🥖
Great video! You should do day trips to Lyon and Bordeaux. Two of my favorite cities in France
Welcome to Paris ! Loved your video.
Really ???
Amazing work! 😍
Off top question, how to stop be afraid when do photos in a crowd? Sometimes I have a feeling that all of them are looking at me.
Great video Faisal & very timely. Will be in Paris for the first 3 days of August, then a few days in Lyon, board our boat for a one week riverboat vacation, end in Arles the on to Barcelona. So nice. Really nice job on these images and the video.
What has you in Paris for the month?
I really enjoy this format. I learn a lot from just watching how you approach each subject. I would also appreciate if you mentioned the cameras used in the video description.
all photos in this video were taken with the Fujifilm X-T5
Breathtaking pictures. Congrats! Which focal length were you shooting? In my guess it's 50mm.
If you decide to shoot Monmartre and Sacré-Cœur Basilica I would suggest taking a Metro not a cab BUT get off the Metro a stop or two and walk up the back streets.
New this vid was going to
Be a banger, once I saw that trademade mole in the pov clips
Whatever you do, do it with all your heart
Lovely. I hope you will also post some images you take with the Ricoh.
When you go in a new place you should do like a vlog on how you approch the new city, the best places to go and what time to go, where you can find interesting things, where you took your best pictures...like a street photography guide. I know it's a lot a work 🙂it's just an idea.

Do you remember which focal length did you use the most? 23mm? 35mm? 18mm? other?
Every second of your video is worth Watching...
So inspiring to have you there, such a great video 🖤
thank you brother!

everytime I see your shots, the first photographer that comes into my mind is ernst haas
Wow! hope you could share the settings of the shots you have taken 😇😇😇
Saul is that you? Your abstract stuff is beautiful.
Hey Faizal! Can you let me know what are your thoughts on the XT-130II because the XE-4 production has been discontinued :(
Díky!
Thank you so much!
Faizal! I love your videos man! Just wondering what profile you use when you edit your pictures with your presets? Is it the standard adobe colour, or do you use a fuji camera profile?
Being a fan of your work it is so disturbing to watch you exploring a city that I know, finally ! Great stuff Faizal :)
haha. 🤣 thanks man!
What camera did you use to film this video? :)
Joshy Gonz sent me here! 📸✨❤️
I live there... ran into you last week. I see you took some suggestions
nice to run into you man!
So so good man. Well done!
Great video as always, man! Would love to know your focus mode, aperture, etc. basically a video detailing your process and tips. Would be super helpful. Do you use single point, wide area, etc. I’d be curious. I’ve been experimenting with range focus on my xt5 and it’s a bit confusing.
I've made videos on this very thing, one specifically with the XT5!
Nice to see you photographing « my » City ! You should go in the suburbs to see completely others things ;)
I'd love to know your process for curating your photos from a trip like this. I can imagine coming home from a stay in Paris with 1000's of photos. I always struggle with deciding which ones are the one's to share.
What were you using to record video? At what focal length (if you remember or know)???
As an amateur street photographer, I watch all of your videos for inspiration. A question though: I sometimes crop my photos for the sake of composition and I also often straighten the horizon. Is that "cheating"?
Sure isn't! All the masters used to crop in the darkroom when printing ;)
One question, what kind of lens did you use for the photos in this video? A 50mm lens? Thank you. 😍
I enjoyed your video, keep going
Wes Anderson vibes 👌🏽
Thanks a lot!
