Fantastic news for road cyclists! I bought an Orca OMX last year, and it’s fantastic in every way. The platform (front to head tube to bottom bracket to rear) is insanely stiff and stable, yet the saddle is more compliant than any bike I’ve ever owned. On poor pavement with 28mm tubeless tires, descending over poor pavement, the bike maintains composure and stability, handles with precision, and holds traction like glue through the corners. Add the the security of discs, and you can drag the brakes without worry when the road, cars, and obstacles demand it. No matter the conditions, I’m smiling.
At the time, I had no idea I was getting Orbea’s new, high-end carbon layup. Now, with the 2021 Orca OMR, it make sense. To add even more compliance, room for 35mm tires, and more affordability makes the OMR ideal for most cyclists. You get the same platform, the same low seat stays, and the same hidden cables at this price point? Wow.
It probably sounds like I work for Orbea. Nope. They’ve never paid me a dime or even offered me a t-shirt. I’m just a super-delighted customer who spent my own cash. The feature set and riding experience are simply perfect. Plus, I love my custom colors. (Mouse Gray and Metallic Graphite with Lemon Yellow highlights and Titan fork.) The Orca line simply rocks.

I am looking for a new bike and I narrowed it down to new trek emonda, new giant Tcr. I saw the omx at a local bike shop and it did look good. I'm glad you are so positive about it and I can choose my own colour so I have made my mind up want bike now so cheers. Martin

Martin Heath - Very Nice! Mine is somewhat similar, except mine fades to metallic graphite, rather than black and I use yellow where she uses red. I have black atop the top tube. And I went with matte where I think she has gloss. My matte paint gives the bike a more rugged, battleship look. Her colors have higher contrast and look great in gloss. The glass gives the gray more of a silver feel. To be honest, gloss would be easier to keep clean.

I recently purchased an orca and love it. My only complaint about it is the front wheel geometry. It is nearly impossible to track stand at a light or turn sharp because the tire always hits the toe of my shoe

Tenho uma orca,mas a tres semanas atrás partiu um crenke chimano ultrega sem ter qualquer mau uso ou pancada,já estou a espera de resposta por causa da garantia e até hoje ainda nada..

Hello. I wonder about the tyre clearance for the Orbea Orca M30? I see that it ships with 700c X 28c, but I wonder if it can accept wider tyres also? Gracias.

@@marcustan5868 I actually ended up buying this bike, based on other reviews that it can fit 35mm tyres. But according to Orbea themselves, it can only fit 32mm tyres. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems that 32mm is the maximum according to Orbea. So be aware of the reviews claiming that it can fit 35mm.

I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
