and the thing is that with how insanely funny i can imagine someone actually thinking that that could happen and that just makes me crack up laughing

That ad at the end is for a ride at Alton towers. The ride opened in 2013. This ad came out in 2014 and then in 2015, there was quite a serious incident that occurred on the ride that caused injuries to several riders, 2 of whom ended up needing amputations.
I’ve still never been on the rollercoasters, not because of the accident or anything, but because it’s only been open once in all the times I’ve gone and the one time it was open, I had a pounding headache and didn’t want to make it worse.

You can tell its Cadbury's because of the purple colour in the background. Phil Collins, the original singer of "Something in the air" was also a drummer.
The eyebrows ad is also instantly identifiable as Cadbury's by the purple dress the girl is wearing. The colour is copyrighted ad Cadbury's purple.

Adverts in Britain are often made by movie directors - Ridley Scott, and Hugh Hudson come to mind. That's why a lot of them are so beautifully made - and, as you say, often better than the TV shows they interrupt.

Interesting thing about the Cadbury ad: not long before, there had been a bit of a scandal, because there had been traces of salmonella in the chocolate. After getting their shit in order, they then decided they needed an ultimate ad campaign, one that would get the name of Cadbury in peoples' faces in a good way. The drumming gorilla was the result.

I can remember being at school with one of those tvs on wheels they used to use and our teacher was trying to talk to us prior to the programme starting but quickly realised the entire class had heads at 45° to look behind him. After a moment he admitted defeat and let us watch the ice skating car before continuing lol

Waaaaaaaay short of being iconic. To get the best of UK adverts, you really need to go back to the 70's and 80's. The Yellow Pages "J R Hartley" one, "For Mash get Smash", Leonard Rossiter and Joan Collins (Campari), "The water in Majorca.....", Carling "Dambusters", R Whites Lemonade, Flake, Hamlet Cigars, the list is endless. Honourable mentions to more recent ones such as the Guinness one with the surfer and horses coming out of the sea, the Skoda cake one, and the Bravia one with the multi coloured one with the multi coloured balls getting chucked down Lombard Street.
