In backgame, unless you are in real danger of being primed, you should avoid hitting. If I hit him there he might enter on 21p and recycle his checker and keep his timing. He might fan. There is no real danger of being primed or blitzed as his board is only two point board and slotted on ace. Thank you for your comment.

at 17:48 you don't hit with the deuce seven roll. can you explain why? i've only been studying the game a year and these backgame positions are extremely difficult for me to understand. it seems like on the previous roll Ray commits himself to a backgame, and that's why he doesn't make his 4pt. So, by not hitting are you hoping to throw his timing off, so by the time he gets his shot his board might be crushed?
thanks for the uploads, btw. Love your matches

ok I think I understand. I've been playing poker for years and only recently started playing bg. What do you think about the future of bg? I only ask because it seems like a lot of bg players switch to poker after a while.

Send me email I will give you a score sheet. Unfortunately not for Las Vegas Open, but for Chicago Open. It is very similar anyway.mochy@backgammon.gr.jp
