Great to see you play and enjoy this as much as i am! Cool to see you get some loot drops i didnt get because of the random nature but also some i missed because the contrast (white items on white snow) - not great for a blind guy 😂
I am very curious to see how grindy the game gets to get optimal gear. You've played more than I have - will gear eventually have random stat rolls? Or is it merely Damage/Defense/Set bonuses?
@BlueLizardJello if I remember correctly yes there is random stat rolls and later on you can farm bosses for special gear that drops from them for completing set bonuses
i really like the animation style! The blood trail was impressive to me as well, but it doesn’t pool when you stand still and it goes away… cool nonetheless! 16:55 Don’t forget the Odin’s Eye back there 😂 Just kidding. 25:10 This is me with every new game, “Did I miss a side path?” I enjoyed watching this one! Probably not one I will get but only because I’m working through Elden Ring and GTA V 100% and that takes all of my time for playing. Great vibes from this game though! I would love to see you play this one but we will see what the rest of the demo holds. I can tell you’re having fun, which is making me excited for a series in the future, maybe!!
Looks fun, I'm going to check this out later...wondering about re-mapping controls? I don't think you mentioned it, maybe I'll look at the steam board to see if anyone asked about that.
Looks like the forums say there is an alternate controller scheme you can pick in the options, so no re-binding but you can choose a different layout. 👍
I started watching your channel back when Scholar of the first Sin was the most recent Souls game, and the only one available on PS 4. I was watching your playthrough of Scholar, I had never seen you, and I was totally convinced that you were David Cross. with his own video game channel. So, I thought it was Tobias Funke playing Dark Souls 2. I mean, you even said "Huzza" a couple times, can you blame me?
Well, I might not be the first, but I'm definitely one of the only combination analyst therapists in the world. And I am still waiting on a call from the Blue Man Group...
This game looks really interesting in terms of combat, items, etc - the, uh, script writing is a little bit weak but the voice acting itself for the demons sounded good. Looking forward to trying it later today (after I finish Armored Core VI for the fourth time).
It looks great, I love the aesthetic, but I'm not a fan of the stagger designed combat. I also worry that the random Diablo style loot is too grindy (though I love sets bonuses) and more importantly too easy to monetize. Have they mentioned monetization plans? I get Raid Shadow Legends vibes from those pieces of gear. I don't have nightmares, but if I did that would be what they would be about.
I can't find anything definitive, but I would be *very* surprised if the game had any monetization alone for two simple reasons: 1) It's a single player only experience. Not to say single player games can't or don't have monetization, but it's not as common. 2) This is a full-priced game. Again, it's possible, but less likely. The loot system is very much like Nioh or Wo Long in terms of incremental progression. It could prove to be very grindy for the "optimal build," but I get the feeling the game will cater to the more casual player like me. Now, they do have a deluxe, ultimate, collector's edition or whatever they're calling it that grants you 3 days early access - a practice I would love to see end immediately.

@@blind_playthroughs You can farm bosses?!
@BlueLizardJello yep, just like Nioh and Wo Long you can replay missions and fight bosses again for a chance to get different drops.
@blind_playthroughs ...maybe one day I'll get into those games.

It’s about time
Happy to see you trying and enjoying this. I assume that Shock is just their term for poise / stagger damage and not related to lightning at all.
You're probably right, I'll probably just never get used to it :D
@BlueLizardJello yeah I agree, The Devil Within Satgat referred to stagger as shock as well
@blind_playthroughs Interesting! I wonder what the connotation is.

I watched some of my friend, @BLIND_playthroughs, play and he had more "Soulslike" controls so I will definitely look at remapping next time!

@@fzoulcmbyl2134 Perfect! I need to dodge with my B/O button, otherwise I am cooked!

@@BlueLizardJello LOL!
The Clothing design in the opening scene reminded me of Conan 3D
I get that joke. Haven't seen any of the movies, but I get that joke 🤭

That power fantasy intro tho'
That is a very mature audience game...although it does look great!
There's a lot of blood and gore - but at least it's cel shaded!
Seems interesting thought the story line could be better
The story does seem very basic right now, but I'm willing to give it a shot!
Hey jello when are you posting next video of elden ring??
