- It is known as the "Garden of the Costa del Sol"; ESTEPONA. Around 90km away from Málaga city centre and just over 80km away from Málaga airport, you will find Estepona, on the Costa del Sol, SPAIN.
In the last 10 years, the town of Estepona has undergone a major face lift. It is a charming coastal town with beautiful Andalusian streets. It is decorated with hundreds of flower arrangements as well as colourful plant pots hanging from the walls.
In this video we show you some of the historic sites to visit or to know about in Estepona. We hope you find it useful and that it gives you an insight into the Garden of the Costa del Sol, if you didn't already know about it.

Has anybody been to the Forrest Hills hotel over the Xmas period? Do they have a restaurant on site that provides evening meals as we do not wish to cook. Are local restaurants open during that period?

You should go to other parts of the town. Take a walk from Cancelada to Benavista along the A7, taking care not to get knocked down. Cross the bridge over the dual carriageway so you can hear the noise from the traffic and breathe in the fumes. Walk around Benamara, Isdabe - there is an ugly heap of concrete - an unfinished hotel. Cross over the motorway and head to Diana Park, El Campanario - there is an ugly heap of concrete - an unfinished school. Careful not to step in the dog dirt. Go to El Paraiso and see all the building work and depleting countryside. You are not allowed to walk on golf courses and there aren’t any benches or parks
