He was seemingly kind of famous, because he was the drummer of a band called "Razorback".

When I was a kid back then, one of the neighbour's boys shot himself on video right after talking about a few things that seemed to be the reason for his decision. His dad immediately called my dad, who was a police officer and former combat medic, but this boy knew what he was doing. There was no chance in hell of saving him. His family wasn't able to watch the video afterwards and asked my dad if he could take care of it till they are ready to do so. My dad keeps it in his attic to this day. I don't think that anyone else but him has watched it during all this years.
Funny. Everyone is talking about how awesome it is that these two were both trying to achieve the same result, and all I can think about is how this should be viewed as a cautionary tale of getting caught up in a witch hunt. Good movie. Nicely executed. Great story.
Huh? Haven't seen a single comment so far about "oh, both have the same goal, how awesome". If their main point was keeping children safe they'd have alarmed the police first. If that doesn't work, they could still have wandered off into the woods. And when you've got the choice between calling for help and tweeting about the possibility of your heroic demise ... yeah, no, that's goal no. 3 - "get famous!!!".
This was perfection in its execution. From script to stage, every scene elevated the scene before and after it. A truly marvelous work of film. I give top marks to Mr. C. A. Wallace and his team. Excellent job everyone. Most excellent indeed.
This needs to be an episode of black mirror but that is an understatement, I've never been so captivated by a short film ever this may be the best one I have ever seen. I was truly entangled in the plot and it left me with the feeling I love as a film finatic. This was absolutely amazing 10/10

May we PLEASE give props to Mr. Paul O’Callachan ( please forgive me because I know spelt that wrong, so someone correct me ) for the ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS!?! I truly love this film for the acting and the plot of the short film, but I believe that the Cinematography pulls it all together! I feel like the cinematography in films go completely unnoticed and people don’t care, but I really need to give this man a pat on the back and a gold star for this one! So if this guy ever sees my comment, and I doubt that he will, then keep up the good work sir and hard work NEVER goes unnoticed good sir!

This is one of the best short stories I have ever seen. From the acting to the scenery to the story set up, it had me on the edge like a 2 hour movie. I wish it had gone on longer it was so well written and executed. BRAVO!

He chatted with the first man online, mistakenly believing him to be the pedophile, because he had posed as a child to lure the pedo out. They both posed as children when talking to each other, believing that the other was the pedo.

Yeah this film was obviously made by someone very anti vigilante. It gives clear signs its very much against mob justice, for example the online comment he got saying "Do me a favour and STAB that POS one more time for me".

I freaking loved this movie. Very thought-provoking. A smidge predictable, but makes up for it with all the other shockingly unpredictable stuff. For me, it makes me reconsider the scope of my definition of a monster. Left me feeling much the way I did after having watched Let the Right One In.

Wow I am blown away by how twisted that really was, it's the first vigilante movie that begs the questions that this movie did. Great flick and if done right could be a feature film, delving into the journalist's backstory would be the majority of it but I feel it could be done!

If you've ever had to sit through nearly two hours of a film to get to a good ending like this ; Then you can really appreciate the succinct story telling in this short film to get to the same conclusion.
This is a masterpiece. I was pretty much hooked by the daring premise from the start but I never knew where it was going. The dramatic irony of both men having the exact same goal was suspenseful enough, but for it to turn out the victorious protagonist was only in it for the fame--absolutely amazing exploration of the morals of vigilantism and connections to protagonists via their presumed motivations. And that's just the story! So many beautiful and intriguing shots of the trees, I absolutely love this!
This was a great film. A well thought out idea, toying with modern ideas, believable characters, great atmosphere, great sound, stunning visually and never got boring for a second. This, in my opinion, is how good horrors should be. Please keep up the good work. Totally loved this.

the title does match up with the story.. NSFW-Not Safe For Work. He is a blogger trying to expose online paedophiles, and the way he is doing it isn't exactly safe. Dude got himself killed, all for work as a blogger trying to get famous.
I guessed the 2 were both "hunting predators" in the beginning, still, great story. Really love that both recorded it all. One wanting to kill, the other wanting fame. Both should have called police.

I loved that. Loved the way it was done with the child's voices. And although I saw the twist coming (what if they're both doing the same thing?)--it was still interesting to see how it played out. And also the twist at the end, was very humorous. Made me laugh.
Spoilers!!! - - - That was depressing, both would've made a great team! There was some scenes where the problem could've been solved if they were just clear with each other or questioned the actions of one another during the scenes. Playing hero is no joke, and I think this video translates that wonderfully. It just sucks because both just wanted to do the right thing (if you excuse beating the crap out of someone) and pretty much ended up killing one another. It's a gray world. The fear of uncertainty, trust, and motive to find the truth plagued those men (in retrospect the community of that area) to quickly act upon each other without thinking. Definitely leave it to the professionals to do the work. There's more this video likes to touch on, but it's late...lol I was looking for horror videos to watch at 2:00 am. xD Side note: Camera work, acting, props, and everything was beautiful!
Real life undercover cops/ teams have attacked each other too! Tho this is scarier bc these sort of vigilantes don’t have people that will notice them being gone until it’s way too late. It’s much safer to do this the way the RUclipsr pedo-catchers do it (can’t remember the name, but they keep many records, have a teammate, and meet publicly without the intent of violence...)
The setting in the woods reminded me of Dog Soldiers.. beautiful yet haunting. I've seen this a few times since released and am still impressed👌🏻. Very well done with the perfect plot and a WTF outcome.

This is another example of a great short horror film that beats any major release, aside from Rob Zombie’s work, in decades. Not one criticism. 10/10!!! Please keep up the great work. Some of us are counting one it.

This was very well done. The photography in the forest was amazing, it made it look almost 3D. Only one mistake, though...everyone knows you never get cell service in the woods, that's how everyone dies! Excellent job, Happy New Year's weekend! Everyone stay safe out there!

Beautifully Black! Every human being is an apex predator at some degree of latency. Hunting pedophiles for publicity... dark! And was the truth of their encounter recorded on video camera? Terry Bradley they didn't think they were talking to a 9 year old boy.. they both knew it was a man pretending to boys.. that's the point of the movie, they were doing it thinking they were meeting a sexual predator, to either beat them up or kill them. .
I think the scariest part of the story is how much value the online world holds for us. That rather than call for help, he live tweeted his own death. It's terrifying.
Awesome. Thriller from start to finish. The monsters praying on innocent people aren't always obvious. This film makes use of that fact in a unique way.

I saw this for the first time some time ago. Recently, i described it to someone as being one of the black mirror episodes. I had to find it again when she told me it definitely wasn’t. The quality is so good. Sooo underrated!!

I thoroughly feel this needs to be made into a real movie. Or even a series so we can get a back story on each character, the actual killer/s and even how the police are handling the situation.

what I don't get is why either of them assumed the other person was an adult when they both said they were 8 and 9 respectively. There would have been no indication that the person they were talking to was anything other than a kid telling the truth.

Wow I am blown away by how twisted that really was, it's the first vigilante movie that begs the questions that this movie did. Great flick and if done right could be a feature film, delving into the journalist's backstory would be the majority of it but I feel it could be done!

If you've ever had to sit through nearly two hours of a film to get to a good ending like this ; Then you can really appreciate the succinct story telling in this short film to get to the same conclusion.
This is a masterpiece. I was pretty much hooked by the daring premise from the start but I never knew where it was going. The dramatic irony of both men having the exact same goal was suspenseful enough, but for it to turn out the victorious protagonist was only in it for the fame--absolutely amazing exploration of the morals of vigilantism and connections to protagonists via their presumed motivations. And that's just the story! So many beautiful and intriguing shots of the trees, I absolutely love this!
This was so well produced. The "gotcha" moment at 3:21 was visceral and the child voices in chat was perfect. Bravo!

This was a great film. A well thought out idea, toying with modern ideas, believable characters, great atmosphere, great sound, stunning visually and never got boring for a second. This, in my opinion, is how good horrors should be. Please keep up the good work. Totally loved this.

While the subject is obviously abhorrent, this is brilliantly written, wonderfully acted, and simply gorgeous to look at. All in all, an amazing film, short or otherwise.

I loved that. Loved the way it was done with the child's voices. And although I saw the twist coming (what if they're both doing the same thing?)--it was still interesting to see how it played out. And also the twist at the end, was very humorous. Made me laugh.

That was depressing, both would've made a great team! There was some scenes where the problem could've been solved if they were just clear with each other or questioned the actions of one another during the scenes. Playing hero is no joke, and I think this video translates that wonderfully. It just sucks because both just wanted to do the right thing (if you excuse beating the crap out of someone) and pretty much ended up killing one another. It's a gray world. The fear of uncertainty, trust, and motive to find the truth plagued those men (in retrospect the community of that area) to quickly act upon each other without thinking. Definitely leave it to the professionals to do the work. There's more this video likes to touch on, but it's late...lol I was looking for horror videos to watch at 2:00 am. xD

Real life undercover cops/ teams have attacked each other too! Tho this is scarier bc these sort of vigilantes don’t have people that will notice them being gone until it’s way too late. It’s much safer to do this the way the RUclipsr pedo-catchers do it (can’t remember the name, but they keep many records, have a teammate, and meet publicly without the intent of violence...)
The setting in the woods reminded me of Dog Soldiers.. beautiful yet haunting. I've seen this a few times since released and am still impressed👌🏻. Very well done with the perfect plot and a WTF outcome.
I've already watched this once but I had to watch it again! Without a doubt one of, if not the best short horror film I've ever seen. It's hard to find short horror films of such quality. Props to everyone involved, great plot, filming, acting, writing, etc. A+
Even though they both died won’t the world still know exactly what happened because at the end it shows the old mans camera recording the old man calling him a pedo.
Finally, someone saw that and mentioned it. Yes, the world will see everything and his fame won't be for what he wanted.
I thought the younger guy used the camera to replay the footage. the camera wasn’t recording after that.
But the old man wasn't shouting and the camera was pretty far, how do we know the camera picked up what he said?
This is another example of a great short horror film that beats any major release, aside from Rob Zombie’s work, in decades. Not one criticism. 10/10!!! Please keep up the great work. Some of us are counting one it.
You think Rob zombie makes good horror.....? Honestly one of the worst directors I've ever seen and I absolutely adore all types of horror films. Just don't see the appeal in his. I've seen 4 of his films and each left me dissapointed and pissed off lol, to each their own though :)!
This was very well done. The photography in the forest was amazing, it made it look almost 3D.
Only one mistake, though...everyone knows you never get cell service in the woods, that's how everyone dies!

I think the scariest part of the story is how much value the online world holds for us. That rather than call for help, he live tweeted his own death. It's terrifying.
And the "first" like, obviously a fan, who sends her prayers to him but doesn't offer to call the police or an ambulance.
Awesome. Thriller from start to finish. The monsters praying on innocent people aren't always obvious. This film makes use of that fact in a unique way.
Excellent on all levels! Writing, directing, and acting all top notch!

What an intriguing premise. I loved it.
One of the best shorts I’ve ever seen hands down👌I mean from the acting, to the cinematography, to the plot... and not to mention the messages throughout this short. I thoroughly feel this needs to be made into a real movie. Or even a series so we can get a back story on each character, the actual killer/s and even how the police are handling the situation.
