I love the idea of Jon coming back in another POV at the end having changed. GRRM could even throw in a classic trope of “Guys! I’ve seen everything. We have another threat to worry about!” cliffhanger.
I’m digging the crowd-sourcing theory style videos. It can be fun getting a few more hands in the pot.
White-haired Jon is pure visual symbolism/imagery, but there’s too many angles for it to not occur. I think everyone’s been suspicious since the show randomly gave him White Wolf as a name.
Excellent call backs to: Robb the Young Wolf; the loss/integration of Ghost; a haunting look that’ll reflect his literal death but also his NW betrayal; some visual similarities to Stoneheart; and visually brings Jon in line with his Targaryen side.
All things the showrunners didnt consider, I’m sure, but I bet they got the name scoop from GRRM.
I like the idea that Jon doesn't die, but rather get some wounds that will take some time to recover from (he can't go north or south, but has to stay at the castle) and he never completely recovers. He would still work as a strategist and administrate the watch, but he wouldn't be able to lead from the front anymore, except by warging Ghost.
I thihnk its pretty much guaranteed he dies, goes into Ghost and comes back. Otherwise there would be so much pointless stuff but in by GRRM.
what would be the purpose of ADWD prologue then
Jon is inside ghost's body mean he's not completely dead
Ya this is whats gonna happen.
I predict first he'll back up stannis and retake winter fell. While stannis continues forward to the south jon will take over the north and start marrying the wildings to northern houses like last time with the thenn marriage to strengthen the north with all these hard north north men
After that not sure. The Bolton definitely have to be taken out and I doubt dead cat would want Jon as king when her kids are still around
I believe GRRM has set a precedent with Catelyn not getting PoV chapters when she returns from death. So I totally think that Jon will be seen through other POV’s as you said Melisandre, Davos, Bran, Samwell and so on.
Love the theories, you seem very knowledgeable on asoiaf, keep up the good work and keep pushing theories m/ asoiaf content because there is 100% an audience out there for that kind of stuff
Imo ghost will die during Jon's resurrection, but it will be like Jon and Ghost melded together to become the new wolf Jon. Don't have any reason for that except that imo in the last part Jon's arc is not as a warg like Bran or Arya, but as a leader who has internalised his wolf. Besides, if he gets a dragon then Ghost would start looking very insignificant next to it, like what happened on the show.
Here's an idea: Jon is dead. He stays dead. Nobody would see it coming!
Jon having Longclaw and still needed to slay Others with that thing is all the proof you need that he’s not down for the count and is gonna come back kicking whether it’s wight/fire wight/normal/cripple he’s got Others to kill with Longclaw
Like no way Sam Tarly kills and Ofher and Jon doesn’t take down like five when winds comes out come back to this comment
I kind of think he’ll come back with white hair and red eyes. He will look like a Targaryen/bloodraven, like ghost, and with his scars from the eagle he’ll look exactly like a weirwood tree perfectly symbolizing ice and fire
Honestly I wanna see Jon lose his pov roll as we see his journey after death. That way we can still try and wonder what is truly after death as George won't spoil that so easily with berric and stone heart not being pov after coming back or at all.
I can’t remember if six skins mannerisms were changed by the different animals he could warg into
More Jon videos. This was great!
As far as Jon not trusting his brothers, he already didn't trust most of the ones who betrayed him. He could already see their disdain and would comment on it in his head periodically, but he knew his real brothers.
What if he goes full King of Winter on the Night’s Watch given the mutiny? The show has him hang the mutineers (oddly framed as ruthless and heartless). Perhaps the book will have him massacre the mutineers and anyone who tries to stop him; after this, he could take complete control of the Night’s Watch and head south.
are you returning the christmas series this year again?
I’m not sure tbh. I dont want to do the exact same thing, but im not sure what I might do. Might do a livestream everyday instead for each character
@@TheGreaseGoblins up to you
Hey a little late to the video but do you think The Others could win against the living?
Yes it is very possible and I don’t even think it is a bad ending because everyone was in conflict with each other they allowed the real threat to destroy them
Is jon snow basically the aragorn of game of thrones?
They made him out to be that heroic aragorn type of character in the show but in the books he's only 16 and mostly stays out of the big battles. In the show they had him fighting in Watchers on the Wall, Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards, none of which happens in the books
Yes and no. Where as Aragorn was the more straight forward hero, Jon is more complex and that is amplified in Dance
Hopefuly not
Kind of.. more like a younger Aragon.. when he started his Ranger thing ..
Pls do more rereading for the rest of the books!
I will it may take me awhile but that is the goal! Getting to the later books where chapters are 20 pages long that will be interesting
Magics also stronger at the wall...
