Well that mantis was pretty tough for tossing around a grown woman like that. BEAST !
I do this every time I walk through a spider web.
Good god, watching her move so easily makes me feel so old!
Yep. Watching her squat like that and jumping made my knees hurt. And my knees are already bad.
I love it. Awesome!
I would watch this action movie and the sequel :-)
impresionante!!!
Beautiful!
Nice mantis! I'm not quite for sure what really constitutes on the meaning of "traditional".
Look up Cha Chui northern praying mantis….. it is a traditional form
I know this its not boxing unless your well um boxing unless this some baki level ish
@@xylsvos Ah yes, I've practiced that one for many years. It's a great routine. Do you like that form?
It has been tarted up.
Đường Lang Quyền (chữ Việt Nam).
Basically a dance. In slow-mo it's clear that she makes few if any weapon level strikes. It's more like waving her hand in the direction of an action.
you actually watched this in "slow mo" and thus your comment bears a certain degree of credibility, or r u just talking out of your a hole just to take a cheap dig of something you have no knowledge of?
just asking bro...
so beautiful.
Would love to see this in a UFC fight

@ 0:12 (I think...I can't quite capture it!) She turns right and front as fast as an owl's head. That right there scared me. Then @ 0:20 she does something in a split second that is incomprehensible. The rest was just gravy which any normal human being would avoid like death. I like to believe that she originally had an opponent who made a quick exit at 12 seconds into her kata.
Nice I trained wah-lum
Yo me gradué en ese estilo
Very nice
Beautiful as the wind🤣
next level shadow "boxing"
Beautiful form.. but how does this stop a 300+ pound sumo wrestler?.. or a 120 pound man in general?
Apply your same logic and expectation to gymnastics or dance. Chinese martial arts is not all necessarily used for combat, and many traditional styles are used as an art form and for exercise instead of combat.
The average 120pound man can be washed away in a few seconds by a trained person.....I've done it more than once..!!!
I wonder on what planet would a sumo wrestler fight against someone who practices wushu anyway.
120 pound ie. 54 kg?
@@timc28 I would be more happy with this perspective if it didn't take 100s of Kung Fu practitioners getting there asses kicked in mixed martial arts tournaments before they had the humility to realize that sucked at fighting. They would have argued up and down in less than the last 20 years that they wouldn't get curbed stomped by a novice fighter.
*Bolo voice* Very good… but air not hit back.
I still cringe when people start cheering.
I understand it’s very impressive & seems supportive, but don’t break their focus.
I would recommend to start with Xanax.
加油!
Nice dance but have you ever seen anyone fight like this other than in a movie?
want to fight
A friend of mine easily won a street fight using his Tang Lang Chuan. Notice, he faced two bullies who questionned his skill as a real fighter.
You wouldn’t that’s why no one does it in mma. They would get run over. Plenty videos of these martial arts being exposed for not being good. Cool art form though.
I love how people are telling you it works, but there never seems to be video evidence of it. There is plenty of evidence of kung-fu practitioners getting beat down by sport MMA fighters, though
She's fighting the same demons that ssbu Roys fight
💚
Contemporary wushu…..
I can't wait to go to China
We have china at home!
China at home:
Lived there for 10 years, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Final score - Lady in green 1 / thin air 0.
Wow
looks like more a dance than a martial art.
That was tight
LoL, actually it wasn't tight at all. Her performance was nice, like a dance. I guess it depends on the definition of tight. For a martial aspect, it wasn't tight.
KUNG FU IS IMPRESSIVE IN THEORY FOR IN REAL ARM COMBAT IS UNREALISTIC
GOOD FOR FILMS
I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER

"You hit like a girl !" *SBAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFF* "…………"
Wushu mantis is not actual mantis
IRL Xiaoyu
Shit😓 how can someone be so flexible.
I lost flexibility at the age of 13 and my bones pop daily just from simple movements...even when I yawn my ribs and spin cracks 😓
u dont 'lose' flexibilty u simply must maintain it
gotta make the noises.
Looks like any kid playing ninja in the backyard.
Shame this is Mantis Wu Shu but not Mantis Fu.

The primitive, compared to sports and artistic Gymnastics, and for the fight it is not good.
Who says for fights it's not good..
Kungfu is best for fights.. it's multi-purpose.. exceptionally useful in ancient times fighting..where you never know when someone might charge at you with a sword..or an arrow may be shot at you.
Did you think real life situation is fighting in a ring?
I guess you could say this woman’s Mantis Boxing is...psycho?
I see you like Castlevania. You must be a fan of Suikoden.
That would suck to think you're a skull cracker bad ass, only to have super fast mantis chick hit you 5 times ,before you can blink.
Nice form... But combative practicality None. Without which it's mere dance . As One of Greatest Martial Arts Fighter Quoted in his movie Enter The Dragon ... "Boards Don't Hit Back!" ~ Bruce Lee ☝️😎
tough words coming from somebody with ZERO footage of him in real combat ...you know WHAT ELSE doesnt "hit back"? CO-STARS!

Useless in a real fight as stated by Jet Li donnie yen and Bruce Lee
That's not about real fighting, it's about doing a form, which is just one discipline of Kung Fu. It's about getting to know your body and possible movements, that teach you flexibility, consciousness, strength, quickness and especially body control (what would be all useful in a fight). You can either specialize on fighting or on walking forms (or on other disciplines), so martial arts is not all about fighting.
Wushu is what their fighting styles are based on
Who says...with ancient skills..you got to think ancient times..
Put you back many centuries..you think someone is going to charge at you with bare fists?
No .they will be charging at you with swords or daggers .
Full on hand to hand combat has nothing to do with flamboyant stances, she would lose in a straight-on and hand combat.
Winning or losing would depend on who she’s fighting. Does her enemy, in combat, have similar training? Can her enemy match her concentration, balance, flexibility, discipline and overall preparation?
Being skilled at jumping rope and punching a speed bag doesn’t mean a boxer will win a heavyweight title…but it’s certainly beneficial to the process.
It might help to notice that this wasn't combat. It was a nice dance. You might consider that "forms" often just illustrate principles, and it sometimes takes an experienced eye to understand what the core purpose of the move was.
Yeah the contest is for 'wushu routines' not combat. I think there's a great deal of combat training everywhere that goes out the window in a real fight. Mike Tyson said "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
another reason why kung fu is useless
