    Hi All,
Instead of looking at 2D size comparison images on Google Images, get a better perspective on the actual size differences between all the ships in the Star Trek universe that we know have been called - ENTERPRISE.
This videos has all the prime universe cannon including the Universe class Enterprise-J, the kelvin heavy constitution class and the Yorktown refit Enterprise-F from Star Trek Online.
I know some people are going to dispute some of the figures but there are so many out there that I chose the best fitting measurement based on the ship models in this video.
There will be also some that say the USS Enterprise-F is an Odyssey Class launched in 2409 in the Star Trek Online universe. Please note, the ship model in this video is the Yorktown refit after the Odyssey Enterprise and USS Yorktown were partially destroyed. The Yorktown Refit is the result of the repairs done as per this link below:

Same. The Ambassador class is such an under appreciated ship. I really dig Andrew Probert's early design of the ship. The one that was displayed in the E-D Observation lounge. Since then people have made excellent orthos. As we know Eaglemoss made a small model of it. Hopefully they make an XL model.
There's a 3D printed version of the ship that I hope sometime get a 1/1400th of it.

Enterprise J would make for an awesome series - Maybe the federation, by that time, have mostly explored the milky way and are sending Enterprise-J on a mission to the Andromeda, or Triangulum galaxy to almost start over again. My guess is by the 2600s, humanity have designed an engine that can travel to Andromeda within a year or two.
    Just a little though.

    • @masterk6571
      @masterk6571 3 года назад +5

The Andromeda Galaxy is approximately 2.5 million light-years away. The Federation starship USS Voyager was stated to need 70 years to travel 70,000 light-years, so at that speed, it would take 2.5 thousand years to get there..

      @@MattJohno2 I agree.
In the 230 years since the NX-01 was made there was a 92.13 fold increase in top speed.
      NX-01: Warp 5 (TOS Scale) 125c
      ENT-E: Warp 9.995 (TNG Scale) 11,515.56c
Assuming this trend remained constant by 2610, the top speed could be 1,060,865c, meaning it could cross 2.5 million light years in 2.36 years.
You might say they can't stay at top speed for long and this is true. However, that has increased as well. From barely an hour, at or near warp 5 being sustainable, to 12 hours at max speed by the TNG era. Thus, the amount of time they can maintain max speed would likely have increase too by 2610.

The idea that starfleet of the 23rd century made a ship as big as the kelvin 20 some years before TOS takes place is ridiculous. Kelvin timeline is an alternate parallel universe with events mostly the same but still different(especially different in terms of technology). Nero just derailed it more than it already was compared to the prime timeline.

Visually they aren’t very different except for the resolution of some of the textures that came as part of other graphical life cycle improvements and never attributed to the refit.... well almost essentially a rebuild of the original 1701-F Odyssey class.
1701-F’s original sister ship the was USS Yorktown. The Yorktown was significantly more damaged than the Enterprise-F at the climax of the Iconian War requiring the Yorktown to be almost completely rebuilt as well as incorporate all advancements in technology that were achieved since it was launched.
Since the Yorktown rebuild was essentially a 80% all new ship it received a new registry denoting this change. The Odyssey Enterprise-F, while less damaged, benefitted from what was happening to the Yorktown and received the same enhancements resulting is slightly different external dimensions but entirely new offensive, defensive and operational systems.
All of this was done under the YORKTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT with the rebuild USS Yorktown being the lead ship of that class and the repair and refitted Enterprise-F changing from Odyssey to Yorktown Class.

A few foot notes about these ships named Enterprise..
The J.J verse Enterprise is not actually as big as claimed by the studio. There's actually some really awesome well made scale comparisons made based off of in movie scenes that actually makes the ships appear to be smaller then those claims made.
Also official sources and even in movie scenes. Plus simple logic. All point to the "Sovereign Class" U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-E is actually smaller then that of the "Galaxy Class" U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D.
The largest reason for the Sovereign Class being smaller then a Galaxy Class Class the Galaxy is meant for Federation colony support and long term exploration and scientific missions and to rarely return to earth.
Hence why it was so large and also Saucer separation function to allow the civilian personal to remain in safety while the star drive section deals with the threat.
While the Sovereign Class is a pure military role ship and has no civilian population on board and is meant to reflect a more stripped down pure military ship.
Hence the reduced size of the ship.

Yeah the studio really screwed the pooch with the JJ-prise. It originally was the same size as TOS Enterprise, everything re: decks windows match. The ONLY reason they claimed that ludicrous size was because JJ wanted a shot of dozens of space shuttles simultaneously leaving the Kelvin, which based on the TOS Enterprise shuttlebay was impossibly small to depict, so they just waved their hands and magically doubled the size of the shuttlebay on the Kelvin, and in doing so doubled the size of the ship, and as their is a similar shuttlebay to the Kelvin seen on the JJ-prise, it to got magically scaled up to ridiculous proportions.

      Agree.
Enterprise B looks like a beautiful sailing ship.
A great show would have been Harriman is removed and replaced with another captain.
      Be great TV.
Then at the end the same captain gets Enterprise C and that could be movies.
Then the ship is turn over to Captain Garrett and the rest is history. 👍

awesome vid, always wanted to see the diff Enterprise next to another, canon and beta cannon alike, tho i noticed 2 small errors: the NX-01 and NX-01 Refit cant both be launched in 2151, as Archer was on mission for years with the original NX-01 before it was refited, and the other is the Enty-J is listed as NCC-1701-F in the info text in the lower left corner (not to criticise, not at all, just thought i point it out * ^^ *) thx for the awesome vid =)

    Very good job on this.
Although you should have included the 1701 refit. As we know the refit was launched 18 months after the 5 year mission under Captain Kirk. BTW the NX-01 Refit would have been launched 5 years later after the original configuration. So the launch date would NOT be the same 2151 but rather 2156.
Just a little annoyance of mine I do not care too much for the Kelvin U.S.S. Enterprise. I just will never accept that ship being freaking BIGGER than a Galaxy class. I know their reasonings behind the larger ships. I just can never accept it. I also despise the overall shape of it, especially the design. The Kelvin Enterprise-A (seen at the end of ST Beyond) on the other hand that was MUCH better in terms of shape and design. Although I still don't like the way how the lower part of the secondary hull like it's predecessor.

The whole kelvin timeline and STD sux ass. Think about it... the ships are ugly and way too big for the era... Kirk being promoted to an O6 in his 3rd year as a cadet and given the flag ship of ggd federation... makes absolutely no sense at all. In this alt reality thd ships should be relatevly the same as the prime universe. That is ST lore. Everytime they screw with the timeline the ships etc asthetically stay pretty much the same... except for the Jar Jar universe. Klingons are so utterly wrong in Kelvin and STD that it pains me to even coment about it. Khan was such a total disapointment. They could have atleast fixed the Enterprise in Beyond with the new ship, but the screwed that up too.

The only thing out of place - for me at least - is the Enterprise J. The model really wasn't fleshed out too well and I wish Doug Drexler really fixed it - instead, everybody after him took it as "finished" and called it a day. The rest of the other ships (the Kelvin Timeline Enterprise included) had more VOLUME and seemed better "proportioned" compared to the flat pancake profile of the J. Call me entitled, but I wished Doug fleshed out the J a little more - it's the "future" setting Star Trek for the J and they're still USING warp nacelles that far out? It looked as some part of the Federation stagnated in it's forward momentum of technology and adhered to a "basic" design pattern centuries behind them. I know they were probably embroiled with the Temporal War, but seriously? I would have thought they'd do away with nacelles later on as tech should have kept on advancing past that.... however, I'm also considering the Enterprise J to be a possible alternate timeline ship belonging to it's own universe.
