Citizens Rescue Pilot After Plane Crashes Into Lake

LOCATION: Lake Meridian
AREA/CITY: Kent
DETAILS:
A plane that had recently left Crest airfield with mud on the floats then rolled possibly due to additional drag on the floats
Witnesses called 911 while more grabbed boats and began tot drag the plane in before PSF boats were even in the water
Long term CPR eventually proved successful and the pilot was transported to HMC

Sadly the pilot passed away in the hospital. So tragic.

It looks like the gear was down. For a water landing this should be up. Landing on water with it down, will cause the plane to flip over.
