Why You Should ~ NEVER ~ Buy Real Estate In Alabama

  • Many people are moving to Alabama with their cousin to buy some land or a home to have little bama'bams... but you should know there is PLENTY of reason nobody wants to be part of the confederacy in 2023. The real estate laws in this state were drafted by Wendy's Employees and perhaps better suited for a dice game in the Bronx than a thing your gonna buy with US currency.

The truth is Alabama has its good and bad depending where you live !!! It is no longer cheap to live here but you can if you search it out depending on your lifestyle and location !!!! However Birmingham is a Dangerous city like so many other cities !!! Just Research the county’s and cities !!! They all have good and bad !!! Talk to the older folks that have lived in the area for a long time and know about the politics, law enforcement, somebody that’s in the know !!! Remember Alabama is a at will work employment state . Meaning the employers can terminate employees at any time for anything….. even making up a false story so beware !!!

If anything, it was a much better experience than buying property in the corrupt, over taxed and over regulated State of California! Wish I had moved here years ago. Get what you pay for huh Johnny? I live in Birmingham and moved here 23 years ago because of wife's employer relocating us. If ALL you care about is low taxes, little regulation, then yes, Alabama is for you. However, that is reflected in struggling schools, infrastructure and many other public services that are lacking. Can't agree with the corruption statement because I doubt you have any idea of the level in this Republican one-party state. (That is also reflected in those things mentioned above.)

If you are of the victim mentality where the world is rigged against you, this video is for you.
I can’t speak to other areas of Alabama, certainly not Huntsville…but as to the coastal part of Alabama (Baldwin County) the lawlessness portrayed in this video does not apply whatsoever.
Alabama real estate law strictly prohibits kickbacks, lotteries, and other unethical practices. The laws are to protect the consumers, and any agent who doesn’t adhere to this should absolutely be reported to the Alabama Real Estate Commission where they WILL be investigated and tried with sufficient cause.
There are bad real estate agents in every single county, in every single state.
There are also great agents who respect the law and serve the best interests of their clients.
I’m really not sure where the notion of the state being entirely rigged comes from, and honestly it’s ridiculous.
If you decide against buying property in Alabama because of this video, please find better resources with accurate information. And please - don’t go looking for properties in shit counties.

It depends on which area of Alabama you are interested in as to the competency of the realtors. Where I was looking, in the southern part, every call that I made to a realtor was returned or someone picked up the phone and was eager to answer my questions. You bought into a bad area and it had realtors to match. There is a reason why certain areas are cheap. Find out before investing.

I don't wanna live in a "free society" I wanna live in a orderly one. The constitution restricted GOVERNMENT not people. But what's where you people in Alabama are getting clowned.. your people are enslaved, and your government is unrestricted. The foundation of the constitution was to REGULATE GOVERNMENT to ensure the integrity of peoples HOMES, thats why the constitution protect homeownership rights which the state of Alabama fails to protect. "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law" but these realtors sold my house without my consent because the "FREE SOCIETY" your talking about because your too dumb to understand that the constitution doesnt grant PEOPLE rights, it restricts governments mobility and encroachments on property.. but you dont know that because they were too busy waving confederate flags in your face.

What do you think the constitution of the united states is bubba? Its a Restriction (permit) on government. But your unaware of how the constitution protects your rights because you got your education from the local chapter instead of from a book like the rest of us. The reason this society is free, is because the government is restricted. Regulation on real estate laws isnt against the people... its on the government. thats how people in Alabama are getting played... the government is waving its constitutional rights... no no thats not how it works.. they filled the role of the law and the people on you and your too slow to notice. you a perfect example of why Alabama laws are ineffective 🤣🤣

So do you have any documentation for your claims? Or are you just claiming what you want to be true. Because I can tell you that your claims are completely false! Brokered agencies "cannot" have any affiliation with inspectors other that supplying a list of local inspectors if you chose to have it Inspected. It's against the laws in the association of realtors causing the loss of your license. If your getting a loan the bank can and will hire their own inspector. So you should really provide proof to back your claims and not spread false information on your so called experience. Alabama is a buyer beware state. Also what are those names they have for people? Wow, I don’t know how one city in Alabama
could give you such a bad taste in your mouth for the whole state? I’m from the North and the Pacific Northwest and there are so many reasons Lower Alabama is a wonderful place to live. It does not matter where you are from, that area will always think they are better than others and will poke fun and talk some type of trash. I know so many realtors and they work so hard, it shows. So, that 1 realtor you spoke about is her own experience. Dual Agents are allowed in most states and is required by both parties to sign a consent form of acknowledgment before even entering an agreement. This video is based solely off your own experience and one area and certain people, definitely NOT Alabama as a whole. All cities have hoods. I live in between 2 large cities with high crime rates, but the city I live in experience very little. Sorry, you had a bad experience. There is a stipulation if you buy a house that was in arrears..that owner has 1 year to buy it back. 2. if you fall on hard times and can't pay your prop taxes..the county takes the property, auctions it and you get 0 from the sale. We have some of the strictest regulations on many of the trades. The rate a of murder are in Birmingham. Birmingham is the Chicago of alabama. When you get away from town it is a safe and caring state. And yes most of us carry because we have to wonder what kind of hating people are walking around here....plus have you ever walked up on a 6 foot rattlesnake? 🤔 just hate to hear people knock a place they don't live. In the State of Texas they will work with you at the Tax office. They set you up on a payment plan. But if you get to far back and can't pay it's a long process before it goes in front of a Judge. First Tax people will send you a letter for you to call them about your payment how they can help. If no response it goes to collections where it gains alot of intrest. After it sets there gaining interest if no payment or response a letter will come to let you know all your info on unpaid taxes will go in front of The Judge. There there are steps the Judge has to go through before it can be sold for unpaid taxes. At the Tax department when you turn 65 you can file to have your taxes froze. While everyone else's goes up your are frozen . You still have to pay taxes but yours are set at a amount when frozen. Its sad in the state of Texas there are alot of Beautiful homes for up paid taxes. Please talk to your Tax office they want to help you. They do not want you to loose your home.

This may be a little off the subject but in the state of Texas provided the house is paid for and not owned by a financial institution in any way if you're disabled or over 65 years of age and you're behind on property taxes the state cannot kick you off the property but yet they still do on it you can't use it for loans or anything else you can suggest who the inherit it to and if they can pay the back taxes they will get the property but they don't kick the disabled or people over 65 off property that they own outright and behind on taxes. Of course they only do that to home steady property you can't do that with property you're using to make money or have a business on. Texas was the last state at least I was told this by my parents to allow an individual to use their homesteaded home property as collateral for a loan but they changed that
