Nice! I'm on a 2021 Switchblade and I've also done the same exact -1 headset adjustment. I think it helps a bunch on the trails here in San Diego. Great review!
Thanks for the detailed rundown on your bike. I love the all around ability of my Switchblade also. Just wondering what has changed, if anything, as far as climbing characteristics with the Wolftooth Geoadjust headset?
Tyler dialed in his cockpit with a Wolftooth Geoadjust one-degree headset. The Switchblade comes stock with a 66 degree headtube angle, and this headset essentially brings it to 65. Tyler wanted a bit slacker geo for more control when riding gnarly, steep trails.
Nice review & bike check! I have a 2021 SB with the X01 Pro build - and the main difference between ours I think is the Float X vs DPX2 on mine. Have you considered an Oval chainring? Also - is that a raceface mounting kit on the bottom of the top tube? I've been trying to figure out the best way to lug stuff around with me on the SB frame and I'd love to hear what you use. Thanks!
Hi guys great overview! I’m thinking about installing the wolf tooth geoshift on my switchblade as well but I have a hard time figuring out the SHIS designation of the switchblade. Which one did you guys use?
The Switchblade uses a ZS44 upper and ZS56 lower. The Wolftooth GeoShift headset is by far our favorite angle adjusting headset on the market at the shop. These are head tube length specific which changes based on the frame size. The XS, Small, Medium and Large frame sizes will all use the SHORT variant, while the XL uses the LONG variant. This is true for both the 1.0° and 2.0° options as well. Hope that helps!
I’m 5’6” and 145 pounds, a size small. How do you think the switchblade would perform for a smaller rider like me. I’ve been trying to decide between that and the 429, but love the blue of the switchblade so much more and like the idea of having a mid travel bike that’s a little more capable. Any recommendations?
Good info. It does seem like the jack of all trades! I just picked up a Switchblade after debating on getting a longer Travel Enduro like the Yeti SB150. However, I think I'm going to really like my switchblade after I get some time to actually ride it! All work and no play makes me a dull MOFO. Also, any idea what Head set that is that give -1° angle?
EXCELLENT video guys! Thanks for going over everything in great detail. Loved hearing it all.
Killer bike! Nice upgrades!
Such a cool bike!
Very knowledgeable!
I definitely want to get some of those Santa Cruz valves.
They're the best! We love 'em here. Most of our employees have a set on their bikes: GAME CHANGER!

How did the bike turn out with all the upgrades, are there any update posts/videos? Thanks
Nice ride! Yes, 5Dev is working on a SuperBoost crankset for the Pivots/Evils. +1 on the OneUp bar and I9 stem….I’m running the 40mm

What would you choose?
New Switchblade Pro XO1 (good sale now)
Or
Used Hightower V2 for a bit less price?

First thing I did on my pivot was install a wolf tooth adjustable headset
