Thank you so much for this! Listening to Pollini live is almost scary. I had the impression from his records that he was an amazingly gifted pianist, but too much of a perfectionist for my taste. Hearing him play the d minor sonata I get the impression that he plays as though his life depended on it. Choises of tempo, dynamics etc. come from inside and have nothing to with showing off in my opinion. A truly wonderful musician and man!
You are absolutely right. Those like me who have been lucky enough to listen to him many times live know that the live one is the real Pollini, endowed with an overwhelming strength, impossible to describe but which you were able to describe perfectly: it seems that life itself depends on the quality of a execution. No other pianist, not even the greatest, had this specific quality.

THANKS! You are a star for posting these gem recordings of Maestro Pollini in his pianistic prime - and in such fine sound, as well!
Beautiful, just beautiful.

Thanks again for the beautiful recording. How can I contact you?
I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to split a vidéo ! 😂

Tempo demasiado rápido. Por demostracion de habilidad se pierde mucho...
.
especially in the first movement of 31/1 - personally I like it played much slower...
