Sometimes we need to converse and be seen over whatever boxes out there. Nothing lacking with this panel and there are more panels to come with different dynamics. For now the focus is on the content and best we can learn from it. Thank you Ntate David and thank you to your panel. Pele ya Pele
That is not true. White people went to jail, were tortured and killed for defending the wrongs of apartheid. Refusing to do national service landed them in military prison and that was horrible. Careful for generalizing. Take care
On the matter of a member of community suddenly having access to budgets that are huge and having control to such, this is where as the black community we got caught out honestly. A lot of our political figures just couldn't control themselves at the most crucial time when they needed self-control. If you have such a responsibility governance should come before anything and everything. You can have a dying relative, but you cannot use money that does not belong to you, not even if you believe you'll give it back later on find other ways to get a loan or medical cover, don't ever think of accepting money knowing you'll have to compromise your ethics. And that now becomes the slogan that the world uses, not only for SA, but Africa at large. "you can't do business without paying a bribe". That weakens not only your integrity as leadership but also respect for your people. Which is why you'll see us in almost every part of the world being the least preferred people for most things.
Shout out to Uncle David for such conversations... I wonder what these politicians and their advisors think and feel when they hear such conversations...
Basically there's no answers but more questions, my take is that as long as we are not working for good morals and improving social standards we won't see a good nation
Listening to these young men, I'm learning that democracy is not for us, but meritocracy is the best option for our country. We need not find ourselves where we need to support them with resources, but the resources shall be available for me. The current system is not good for all to be able to operate effectively. We are not free because theres areas we can feel free to walk on. You know, when you serve without your willingness, it is not the best option.....however this shall be done willingly.
I'm glad that I heard Samora Machel said Aluta Continua, meaning that the fight for freedom continues. Africa or South Africa is not really free. It's only the EFF that knows about what I'm talking about. The young generation should know that it's their duty to fight for total liberation. Elders have done their best, like I heard Nelson Mandela saying. Revolution is actually done by the people or civilians not politicians!!!
i agree in what Bongani is saying and again education must not be remoted to where you based or born schools should be build to accommodate different nations if you from Venda you should be able to get a school from primary to secondary in kzn or any other province that will help with fighting or rather overcoming tribalism narrative we live in south africa its sad how we only get to know ,experience or try to understand or learn other languages coz we meeting in the big city or varsity whereas we could have leant about one another at an early age .thank you again for the round table Mr. Mashabela can we get more of those to shape and teach one teach all to better our lives in southen africa .
54:10: We need to stop comparing South Africa to nordic countries. Nordic countries like Sweden, Finland and Norway etc, do not have populations that exceed 10 million, whilst having massive GDPs. These countries, also do not have a history of oppressing its people and division. Obviously a rich country, with a small population is going to have amazing education and equality for all citizens.
That road he’s referring to, has finally been completed but that can be due to the election season. There’s also a court that was meant to be built, I’m 27 now and I believe it was started while i was in my late high school / early varsity years, till this day it hasn’t been completed. We can only allude it to corruption within Mamelodi and the city in general
So you decided to round up a couple of dudes to give you a balanced picture of service delivery issues in black communities. The same dudes who hardly visit clinics when sick, and hardly participate in household upkeep just but chilling nama jita estradini and clubbing.
@@kingdavidstudio1 I don't and don't wish to. Was just pointing out the balance of opinions of the panel. Not trolling as much as you might want to believe that.
So you asking kids from which backgrounds about state of south africa???RED FLAG TO Have PEOPLE WHO DONT RELATE TO NOTHING REAL THAT IS HAPPENING COMMENTS IN BEHALF OF POOR SOUTH AFRICANS….mxm😂
I wish there is more such talks for younger people to show that they are valued and have something to contribute. Will also help them to understand a lot of things
Very interesting fact. The reality of SA is that people get into politics for their stomachs and friends. Again the community is lenient in holding these politicians accountable. This is normalized now.
Interesting choice of guest but the mamelodi guy must be asked gore as much as he says they are greedy then question is are just gonna leave it like that coz that greedyness will add more taxes more corruption so we have to come together as everyone to make sure that whoever is in power must account and face the fire so that no one will be afraid to steal or they steal less not as open as it is now
Bra Dave you are a legend. Not a lot of platforms give the youth such opportunities especially speaking about their lived experiences with no fear or favor
Prisoners shld be made to work these jobs that the state are paying tenders for. General work shld be part of their time service where they will be made to build infrastructures
Itumeleng unako ukuyibhuda because the budget comes directly from the DA and what sort of budget is given for places such as the Cape flats? That is an important question to ask however the corruption regarding our fellow black South Africans that are in power is also the result of how poorly run our communities in the Cape flats are.
King David you are a man of incredible sagacity, you are a great master of the art of engagement. Itumeleng is well spoken, evidently well researched, and has so much depth and political insight. Incredible conversation 👌👌
Not to disagree with the statement however we shouldn't think and end by the wall ,cause that's the death of all of us ,ANC served it's purpose of "getting us out of apartheid era"but going forward do they offer us anything cause for the past 5 years alone I am certain it was a nightmare to everyone
Don't agree with your statement, I am 53 and these young people could be my kids. But I would not vote the current party as a woman. Safety comes first as a female in South Africa. Unfortunately no party is really speaking to me at present.
@@SKNYDEEPprecisely we have thanked them with 30 years of power but they time and again failed to deliver on the responsibility of the power that was granted to them. They’ve done well for a movement that was formed for liberation but have proven that they are not willing to adapt to the changed environment that they brought about.

This Panel definitely Represents All the Youth with their different views
White South Africans never wanted Apartheid to end. They never protested for the end of apartheid, in fact they voted for the National Party!!
So what
That is not true. White people went to jail, were tortured and killed for defending the wrongs of apartheid. Refusing to do national service landed them in military prison and that was horrible. Careful for generalizing. Take care
this first young guy to talk sounds smart, analytical and very observant
I am not a fan of politics/ state of the country but this panel made the topic palatable. Thank you King David. O senganga.
This is profound, please invite White and Indian youth on the next episode.👏
