Chris was so true then, when he said to the audience, "anyway, you'll grow to love it (their album/them)" at 0.18, when he only find a person who had his album. Look, where he's now?! Left most of the bands behind.
The audience shows how we subjectively perceive art When a band is famous their seems much better than when they're unknown :) For example The Beatles performed thousand of shows in Hamburg and Liverpool for years(1959-1962) and no one thought they're amazing or iconic until they got a single on the radio
WTF? I lot of people who saw The Beatles live thought they were amazing before their first single. The diference is just the people who could see them live could appreciate their music because they didn't have a single yet. The same goes here with Coldplay. I bet some of the people who saw them live here thought they were great and bought their album after the concert.
if you had told me when this happened that this band would be one the worlds most popular acts and would perform one of the best super bowl halftime shows, i honestly wouldnt believe you

What i discover in Chris attitude that his so nervous and anxious and doing Things quickley like a machine Maybe the resulte of industry that it makes you move that way.
I, Me, and myself had just bought the Parachutes album a few days before at an HMV shop in London. So aside from almost no one knowing about Coldplay I and apparently one other bloke knew about Coldplay. We both shouted affection and, the rest is history, at a festival in north Germany. Bizarre festival 2000.

My understanding of this concert is the festival was more of a metal/hard-rock catering and Coldplay obviously didn’t fit. I mean, look at how small that crowd is. I believe Chris Martin sat down with his manager and talked to him about what type of gigs to book them.
Omar Alexis he was asking is there anyone have got their album, and one person did. Chris also said that many people got their album in England, but not many in Germany~

best Coldplay song ever
+Florian Hecht i just can't stop listening to this masterpiece... parachutes is perfect!
everyone of coldplays old songs r the best coldplay songs ever ahah!
Outstanding simplicity. A Masterpiece.
Best Coldplay album ever!
Paradise😂
the harmonica solo is just hilarious
Originally, it's on the piano. Maybe it was the first time Chris tried that, and then Jonny did it
its truly hilarious :D:D
I guess you can find a better one here 😅

Am I the only one who really just loves johnny's guitar work on this song?
Nah, you're not alone
Nope,I love it too and him ❤
This is my favorite song on this album, so so underrated
he really goes crazy with it
Nope!
I only keep coming back to watch this version to see Chris's amazing harmonica playing :L
JackHMeenanThe1st i really wanted to learn it, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Maybe wrong key harmonica.
1:42
I like how he laughs in the middle of it..
Chris is a legend.. =P
Have a wonderful day. =)
Chris really has a talent for singing
Stefan van Loon Wish it was more natural now like it was back then. Still a great band tho
14 years ago, They looked something like that. Now, they're on top of the world and still counting. Coldplay forever be the best.... :-D
damn, these guys sound pretty good. They might become big one day
back when Will was still learning the drums so he didn't sing.... bless him, my (now) hairless champion...
And now he Can do both at the same time

Don't panic still sounds so amazing!
One of my favourite song ever!
Happy 2021 everybody, we all deserve a better year
Me too
Muse and Coldplay in the same festival.. oh god
you both bands are playing at the Glastonbury this year, right?
I remember watching muse live and matt said that coldplay was playing on the tent next to theirs. I dont remember the video tho
I don't like what they both do right now. But be at this festival 20 years ago... I would have loved it.

Lost my dad 2 days ago. He loved Coldplay and went to some of their earliest gigs. Thanks for sharing this It brings me comfort.
OMG the harmonica fail is hilarious! 😄 That is one of the reasons we love them though. Their humility is reflected in their pure beautiful music.
Oh my, they have come a long way since then
Adrian Iova God yes indeed
Such humble beginnings
only one people got their Parachute album. At that time i was the only one at school who has it :p
Sama 😂
I bought this album along time ago and right when I first heard this I knew.... That this was an instant classic
Bizarre 2000 was a great festival. A blue hair man and his band triumphed there too ;)
Muse?
Lots of beautiful memories with this album in its time, a big change was going on in my life coming out of depression.

glad to see that people as talented as chris martin even mess up during performances. ha
it just proves that you have to start small, but if you show quality-enorm... and you don't need this marketing shit like those "singers" nowadays do.
Great song, great solo!
I miss this coldplay
DON'T PANIC
Bones, sinking like stones
All that we fought for
Homes, places we've grown
All of us are done for
And we live in a beautiful world
Yeah, we do, yeah, we do
We live in a beautiful world
Bones, sinking like stones
All that we fought for
And homes, places we've grown
All of us are done for (done for)
And we live in a beautiful world
Yeah, we do, yeah, we do
We live in a beautiful world
And we live in a beautiful world
Yeah, we do, yeah, we do
We live in a beautiful world
Oh, all that I know
There's nothing here to run from
'Cause yeah, everybody here's
Got somebody to lean on
