  • Origami Baby crane and Mommy crane folded from a single piece of paper. From the first origami book ever printed senbazuru orikata. A fibrous origami paper works best. Thin or foil paper tends to rip where the 2 cranes join.

I have watched this video a few times and enjoy it each time. It is a unique example of senbazuru orikata. Should I ever attempt this I think I would use a larger piece of paper, at least the first time. Thank you for posting!

Gido Rokoan, author of the book Zenbazuru Orikata from 1797. Possibly the earliest origami book ever published.

Dollar origami is never cut, this one is more of an origami puzzle, but it is from hundreds of years ago :)
