The main issue is the lack of enough sewage treatment plants. Step 1 --- Regulate sewer pipes and send them to treatment plants. Step 2---- Discharge treated water into the river Step 3-- Start cleaning all sort of debris from the river Step 4--- Hefty fine those who litter ... Shame that this has not been done in capital like ours.... So many rivers to embrace yet we have to cover our noses when crossing them via bridge.......... How to push govt. environmental engineers to co-ordinate and start building treatment plans is beyond my understanding, but until something like that is not implemented, the rivers are going to be like this no matter how many 'Bagmati safai abhiyan' programs are launched just to clear waste around the river corridors
Beautiful vlog. Lack of awareness has been only an answer to social studies and Population subjects questions ,but never taken it seriously. I wish if our country’s leader, bureaucrats, society and whole citizens are aware and progressive towards such thing. Thanks to sisan baniya and meg dai

Here in Japan students from their early age are taught to clean their class rooms, school area, parks by themselves, like wise I think hamro Nepal ma pani school bata nai sikauda yo discipline or say habit develop hunxa jasto lagxa… So schools must be involve to clean valley by starting cleaning their nearby ares first🙂

The best way to protect the natural and historic beauty of Kathmandu valley is to change the capital city of Nepal. So many residential and industrial area around the historic temples.
Even for small jobs to be done we are forced to go to Kathmandu which is the reason why it’s getting over populated and over polluted.

This video took me back to my childhood. We had a cultivation field nearby bishnumati river. I remember we used to clean vegetables in bishnumati river. It was 18 years ago. I don't know how river got so polluted drastically in such a short time.

I remember answering in class 7 ko social studies ko auta tourism related question ma: we have so many rivers in Kathmandu valley. We can arrange boating facilities (Venice, Italy ko example diyera) and attract many tourists here.
Just imagine tyo beautiful, peaceful, amazing rides in the rivers of our city.

General public ko kura chodhdium, university, college, school jane students le pani bato mai fohor falirako huncha jaba ki these are the people who should be educating their families and relatives to keep our city and where ever they travel clean. Mero school days ma I used to travel by bus, never threw rubbish outside the window and it feels so nice to recall that my juniors did the same. Aile pani i try to convince people to at least not throw things outdoors and dispose them properly. I dont know if i should use this word but my mom calls me khatey as I always have something in my bags and pockets. 😂😂
