Dr. Sung, I appreciate your work! Really helpful videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I have Hashimoto and it was really interesting to learn about all the effects and how my body is functioning!

Great videos - pretty sure that I have Hashimoto’s. I’ve tried several different pharmaceuticals (Armour, etc.) but always felt 10x worse! Medical doctors had nothing to offer, so I just started taking iodine. Much improvement, but still feel low sometimes. Do you have any other suggestions to treat this naturally?

The video is a simplistic model. There are receptors for neurotransmitters through the entire brain and can be impacted both negatively or positively by excess or deficiencies. Here are a couple of article links for you.

Are you saying that a lack of Serotonin can affect someone with Hypothyroid? How? Would they benefit their thyroid with a SSRI if that’s has been deemed fit by their physician?

My thyroid levels were normal but I had nodules that grew into my thyroid and destroyed it! They affected my breathing and had to be removed. I still have half a thyroid and I feel fine. Never found out the cause of the nodules.

There is a separate test for T3 and T4. I’m 65 and have been having hair loss. My PCP added them to my blood test and I found out my T3 is low. I now have a rudimentary understanding thanks to this video. My PCP referred me to an endocrinologist. The last thing I want is a prescription, which he will probably prescribe. I want an understanding of how the thyroid works and this video does a good job!
