Fun fact, there’s actually a meaning behind the red string. In Japanese culture we call this 運命の赤い紐(unmeino-akai-himo), which means the red string of faith. This string is a string that is believed to be tied on one of our fingers and the string will eventually lead to another person’s finger, which is basically your soulmate. No matter what happens in life, the string should hold together and you will eventually be with your soulmate. But what probably happened in this animation is that the soulmate was gone, out of this world because the string was cut off and there was blood. This really shook up my emotions.
It's so simplistic but I can tell that you put a lot of time into it. The only critique from a viewer's perspective would be that there should be some smoother transitions and more fluidity with the drawings (maybe have some animations for when new things appear on screen instead of them just appearing). But besides this I truly love the cozy/eerie feeling from this, it beautifully encapsulates the song's own theme!
Idk, depend on you ig, I kinda like static animation like this. like music, some prefer legato, some staccato, accented note and stuff, but ofc combined dynamics in music are better, but sometime simplicity works well.
