To the people who think GNR are over rated then by the same definition la guns are too since they merged with Hollywood rose to make GNR...the music GNR made was unique yet held parts of the guns. They were all amazing.
+king crust Actually no, Axl was in Hollywood Rose and Steven Adler and Slash discovered him and he just had to be in their band (GNR) So no, they were not formed together to make gnr. If you hear the first Hollywood Rose album-it has L.A. Guns written all over it.
+May K Actually king crust correct, ur way off. Rose was in LA Guns briefly in '83 left to front Rapidfire and then on to form Hollywood Rose with Stradlin. Hollywood Rose broke up in '84. Slash and Adler were in Hollywood Rose briefly before breakup. After break-up members of Hollywood Rose (Rose, Stradlin) and LA Guns (Guns, Gardner, Beich) merged in early '85 to form Original Guns n' Roses. The name being formed by combining LA Guns and Hollywood Rose. By June '85 Beich had been fired and replaced by McKagan, Guns had quit the group after an argument with Rose and was replaced by Slash and soon after that Gardner quit the group and was replaced by Adler thus forming the classic GnR line-up.
Unfortunately good hard rock music died with the advent of garbage, I mean grunge music, that became popular in the early nineties. I sure miss the good stuff...
Hey man don't dog grunge, grunge was a marketing tool, the bands and the music is where the integrity was. All those bands had all the 70s rock influence just like all the LA bands did as well, if it's not your music I totally respect that, but don't call it garbage and say it killed hard rock and metal, what killed hard rock and metal fucking truly was really poison, by 81 to 83 motley crue and ratt sounded killer! by 84-85 everything started getting sparkly and looking too much like your sister, the only bands really putting up a bang by 85 to 87 even 89 were danzig, the cult, warrior soul, guns n roses and so on. Things change with time, it happened at the end of 79 when NWOBHM heavy metal took over, nobody wanted to listen to free or led zeppelin anymore, two amazing bands I might add btw, the 90s was the last decade for rock music, you can disagree all you want with me but it's true. If their's a form of "music" we should dog and call garbage it should be what's on the pop world from 2016-2020, nothing but rubbish generic mainstream crap! now that's the music that should be called garbage and not grunge. Look i'm not dogging you out I'm just telling you form my point of view and how I see it cause i love both 70s rock, 80s heavy metal and 90s rock and alternative and I own records of bands from all of those years. What I don't own is rubbish you have to pay for in itunes like "what's in and new".
@@dyr234 Alice In chains was a very good band, just saying and yes I was never a fan of grunge, I'm a heavy Metal Rock fan, Motorhead, Metallica, Iron Maiden Etc...
the thing I like about the LA GUNS is that they sure knew how to write FAST rockers, not that boring/predictable mid-tempo shit which sounded like a bad ripoff of Hendrix
Just checked out their new track from the album to be released in 2017 called "Speed" Sounds quite like this, and both FRIGGIN' ROCK! Saw them open for AC/DC on their first tour in '87 or '88!
Come on Jane I wanna hold you tight(yea), I'll give you lovin and make you feel all right (yea). I'll say the things that you wanna hear....Im gonna whisper in your ear!
When this album came out It was pretty much the ONLY thing in the world for me. I thought this was the future of Hard Rock. It’s got everything plus a punk attitude!! But it just didn’t go that way. I really liked the next few albums. But it actually seems they went to a more straight rock thing compared to this. I’m not knocking the next 3 albums. But I don’t think ANYONE has ever really caught up to this one. Not even them. Not only them. Really? What could GnR do to ever top Appetite? Just can’t be done. They followed with some great stuff. But the first one was ALMOST too good.
@baboracus dude, 90s were great with bands like alice in chains and nirvana because they had the real feeling and you can't say that the 50s and 60s sucked because witjout them where should 80s bands get their influences from, btw LA guns kicks ass
@kissrocks5876 and much more like vains of jenna and hardcore superstar, well, all these new swedish rock bands :D they´re easy to find on youtube if you are interested
@RoberthP77 50s, 60s, and 90s sucked for music. You can't just say old music is good because it's old. lets be honest; every song from the 50s and 60s had the exact same cookie cutter sound to it. Once the synths started popping up, bands like LA guns had to vastly step up their game to compete. They did exactly that and Rock n' roll actually required skill in the 80s. The 50s and 60s were just complete crap. The 90s and beyond are just pure garbage.

Writing.
Phil Lewis vocals and tracii guns amazing solos cant never go wrong.
The singer is English, he has that old school rock n roll style
on the wide spectrum of quality . . . . this is top quality. timeless. from the heart :))))
Phil brought that English punk vibe while Tracii brought that sleazy L.A. Rock sound. Raw good rock n roll!
Annah Anguiano that is what I like about la guns
Me too. They were my first rock band I saw live as a teenager back in 1989. Been a big fan for a long time
This IS Sunset Strip metal at its pinnacle!
Crazy good guitar solos.
I honestly didn't expect anything good when I searched these guys, but god damn, this song is fucking awesome!
この曲はカッコよい!
魂に刺さるぜ
TOTAL SUNSET VIVE AT THE RAINBOW & THE WHISKIES !
LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL!!!!
昔よく聞いてた。懐かしい。
Way cool album. My fav Guns album cuz it is RAW.
Now that's just the real deal right there everybody.
OMG AMAZING SONG
Cobra Kai's anthem theme song. Seriously , They should use this song on the show. Plus Johnny Lawrence is a fan of 80s glam rock.
I can’t wait to see this guys live again
Such an awesome song and an amazing record!
truly AMAZING
This Song Ever Get's Played In Cobra Kai I Will Go Crazy
Their best live song
thanks for the up! this was a great album.
Go Tracii Go.
Would love a Rock Candy remaster of this album.
Happy Birthday Phil!\m/❤🤘🎸

+Tony Motquin OHH!!!Okay, thank you!!! I knew Tracii Guns had something to do with GNR
gracias thanks very much man
After 94' that's when it all went downhill
the main riff remembers me of "bomber" from motörhead lol
It does sound similar, love bomber to death
Dont forget Faster Pussycat! :)

This song was definitely Influenced by Motorhead

Sounds like Motorhead
The band was Never As Good when they got rid of their drummer Nikki Beats Steve Riley is not playing drums on this record
This album dropped in 1983, not 88. GnR was in full force by that time.
This album definitely came out in 1988. I remember buying it as a "New Release".

This is horrific. Worst genre of music in history. You could have been listening to Slayer “Reign in Blood” instead of this garbage.
