You can't even protect your own property. When you're caught stealing something (or putting it back) in someone's store, and they want you out, then the best thing to do is LEAVE, and leave as peacefully as you can. Too many of these young people today, actually think they have have every right to do and take whatever they want, and how dare anyone oppose them. Gosh, I hope this country make complete some kind of turn around, at least some time in my life, but I know that ain't happening. A change in local, state, and federal governments, has to be drastic. A huge change has got to happen.

As someone who thinks we need stricter gun laws, I'm siding with the store owner on this one. These kids didn't just leave when they got kicked out. They started hitting the door. The owner had a gun to protect himself. You don't know what these kids are going to do next. He hits the kid with the gun because he must be a righty. That's his punching arm and firearm arm. He didn't deliberately shoot the kid, but the gun discharges. When things get heated and move fast these things happen. If you don't want to get shot, then don't do sh*t like this. These kids were looking for trouble. The store owner was not.
They are charged with petty theft and he is charged with assault. Great judicial system.

All store owners must remember this: the laws and situations are almost always against you but protecting the criminals. So, drawing your gun only and only if when your life ( including your family) is in danger!
