July is actualy a good month, unfortunately you just happen to have a bad luck with the weather this time. Didn't saw you going to the alpen express which is next to the bob bahn. Did you missed it or weren't you interested on that coaster? :)
Voltron is announced to open in 2024 and as far as I remember they are planning more stuff too. I agree that the haunted manshion needs an overhaul cause it is one of their oldest rides and very outdated. The voletarium is just a flying simulation and the cinammon like smell is supposed to remember you on snowy christmas (thats why it happens at the snow area with the pine trees before the fireworks and stuff). They are also running several shows that always change on a daily or weekly manner you could had watched (ok the outdoor ones not so much since it was raining).
All in all I'm glad you guys still had some fun even under so much rain and hope you will have a even better experience the next time you visit! :)

june and july are the “safest” choice. august can be quite unpredictable. weirdly enough september and october can be quite mild and lovely. but yes, this years summer was absolutely horrible and much wetter than usual. i keep my fingers crossed that next time you won’t need a poncho! ❤️

@@cruiseandcoasters also in August most European countries have vacation more than in July.. In June most children still in school . The schooltrips to parks are usually in that month but besides that its not that busy yet. September and October can be nice but some parks only open in the weekends in those months or just in the week for Halloween when its so busy. I love to see your reactions for first time visit. ❤❤
July is usually pretty dry and sunny. Its just been a really weird Summer. Some countries have had 90% rain while others have been so hot and dry with many fires.
I hope people are safe with the fires - that can be so scary!
Actually the "Geisterschloss" or haunted mansion is shut down and is beeing renewed. Im not sure when it is going to reopen.
This is not normal for summer here. I mean you can always have bad weather but we just had 3 weeks of daily rain and this is just to much. I guess you just had bad luck this year I am so sorry! Hope it will get better for you!
The good news is we had some light crowds - but man, was it a wet trip!
Personally I would probably recommend may, because I love the fresh cold air. Yes it can rain, but as you see it can always rain here xD So june usually has the least rain and highest temperature. The summer tends to have rapid temperature and weather changes, which I always notice because my body doesn't deal with that very well. So yeah it's just a hit or miss, no amount of planning can outsmart our weather.
Can't wait to finally go to this stunning park next fall.

You have just been unlucky with the weather. This has not been a typical European summer.
