  • Hungarian Touring Car driver Norbert Nagy has embraced a new Challenge this year and alongside his SEAT Léon TCR he is now doing HillClimb Racing in a BMW E90 V8 Monster that many of our fans may recognize.
    Yes, this is Istvan "Bongo" Kavecz S65 V8 swapped unit, in all its 540Hp/1170Kg glory, sporting some serious aerodynamic improvements, making it a tremendously fast Hillclimb machine. With goodies like front and rear suspension taken from the WTCC cars, Ceramic brakes, Sequential Gearbox among many others also contribute to the searing pace shown above at Ecce Homo/Sternberk 2019.

    The day I get tired of watching onboard videos of God-level sequential shifting...that's the day someone needs to put me out of my misery.

      I agree. And someone should put those 6 thumbs-downers, out of their misery! 😊
      Who watches this mechanical and racing-skills mastery, and then says "nah bro, a thumbs down is what is needed here, can't wait to go kiss my dad on the lips"
      The driver knew the track. Knew his car. And didn't venture too far out of the dangAH ZOne. But handled that MF'r!!! Awesome video!
      (Insert gif of Chunk Norris thumbs'ing up)
      (Insert gif of chunk from the goonies at that intentional typo, grammar-nazi blue balls, initiated)
      😉😘

      Some driver's just prefer a stick. I've got a sequential box in my skyline hill climb car and I had the option but it just felt faster and suited my muscle memory having a stick. After having a normal gearbox in the same car.

    Wait, a swap? I thought the E90 already had the S65? Unless it was like a 330i turned into an M3?

    these bergmonsters always have really short gearing almost like they are geared for 200kmh! the road suitable M3 has gear ratios configured for well over 300kmh

    I dont think this is an s65. Sounds more like a p65 (s65 variant)

    • @heiko207
      @heiko207 5 лет назад +1

      Definitely an S65. There is no P65, only a P60 which was in the M3 GTR, which is insanely unlikely.
      That, and this channel does research and would probably have asked the driver.

    • @augustortiz
      @augustortiz 5 лет назад

      Heikonyan you should do some research. P65 is an s65 variant used in the Z4 GT3. Which sounds a lot closer to this car that what my s65 does. But yeah i know this channel talks to the drivers
