My first car was an '82 Malibu. It was a hand me down. My uncle bought it new, then he sold it to my mother, and when I started college she gave it to me.
I bought a 1980 Malibu with a 267 V-8 brand new. Had bucket seats rally wheels. White with blue interior. I got more compliments on that car than any I ever owned. Great car.
I think that’s the best thing for the kid I was in a relationship just like that and when I finally broke loose from it all my problems and stress were also gone to. You guys are always helping each other and that’s what family does and billy was always helping and bending over backwards for her and I never saw anything coming from her maybe I’m wrong but either way the kid will be so much happier down the road. Marty Robbins played all day in my workshop! Makes me think of my good friend in Ohio who also likes to sing the ole tunes while he works! Anyways... I seen the writing on the wall awhile back that the 2 kids were gonna be heading in different directions. Billy seems like he is back to his old self which tells me it was for the better. The mental anguish is dissolving and the light in his eyes is burning brighter. Not all love is good love that's for damn sure. I'm gonna frank... Billy's and Team SRC's possibilities are limitless. Staying focused on the bountiful future and keeping your eyes, mind and heart open to all that God has planned for you should be the #1 priority. The temptations along the way are put in place to test you. Make decisions based on what you believe is what God wants for you for HE is your shepherd. Be blessed my friends and I love you all.
As a dad, it’s wonderful to see the smile on his face and your love for him and the family. As you know, just tell him as we grow older we sometimes move in different directions from those we care for. It’s not always a happy time but it’s part of growing older and wiser. Billy is a good young man. I think it goes unnoticed a lot of the time how much he leads this family. From buying Allison a car to making sure tommy has something to race to. Oh boy, this is the best damn comment I’ve ever seen!! I’m in the same boat, except I’ve got 40 years worth of buckets sitting around so I’ve given up and started getting rid of buckets!! Lesson for billy from us stupid old farts that have been down this road before him: get ya a handful of paint pens to keep around the shop and label the extra brackets, belts, bolts, etc with a paint pen like the junkyards did then throw it in your bucket or on the shelf and then you’ll always know what it’s for cause ten years from now your memory won’t remember what it’s for without it!

I had a 80 Malibu for years, started out as my street car ended up a full blown race car. That is a super nice one you have there, it was good to see the rear frame horns weren't rusted. Nice score!
My first Hot Rod I built was a 79’ Malibu. Had a V6 that I pulled out and stripped the car completely down including the interior. Replaced with a decently professionally built 327 and a built 2spd Powerglide. Reupholster the “Bench” seat and replaced the carpet and headliner, the rest just got scrubbed and reinstalled. 2” Stainless Exhaust with a rear end out of an 85’ Buick Grand National that was totaled in the front end. Painted the entire car including grille, bumpers and door handles white and it had a red interior. Decent car all together that sounded meaner than it was. Miss those body cars!

Love it! A lot like mine. 21k mile all original Ohio 1979 Malibu. Got off an estate that an old lady owned and drove only to church and the salon. I took the 3.3 out and sold it on eBay to a guy who put it in a model a. Now I put a 421 stroker in it and tuning here and there on it. Love the G Body and can’t wait to see what Billy does with it

MR.H , I want to say first and foremost that smile and laughter on Billy's face was priceless when driving the Malibu.. he picked up a great peace of America's history with the Malibu 👍👍. I can't wait to see what SRC does with it..sorry to hear Billy's been having some personal issues , .. that has to be hard on him ,poor boy has alot on his plate. I think Bill the Elder saw the writing on the wall a while back , concerning Billy’s relationship with Molly.. But as with any good parent , let it run it’s course , so that their child learned the lesson that was there.. It’s not easy to watch,but all we can do is support them in their life’s lessons..
Without question, the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Nearly tore our Family apart. Lots of praying, and ultimately Faith got us through it. Not easy

Marty Robbins played all day in my workshop! Makes me think of my good friend in Ohio who also likes to sing the ole tunes while he works! Anyways... I seen the writing on the wall awhile back that the 2 kids were gonna be heading in different directions. Billy seems like he is back to his old self which tells me it was for the better. The mental anguish is dissolving and the light in his eyes is burning brighter. Not all love is good love that's for damn sure. I'm gonna frank... Billy's and Team SRC's possibilities are limitless. Staying focused on the bountiful future and keeping your eyes, mind and heart open to all that God has planned for you should be the #1 priority. The temptations along the way are put in place to test you. Make decisions based on what you believe is what God wants for you for HE is your shepherd. Be blessed my friends and I love you all.
As a dad, it’s wonderful to see the smile on his face and your love for him and the family. As you know, just tell him as we grow older we sometimes move in different directions from those we care for. It’s not always a happy time but it’s part of growing older and wiser. Family, at the end of the day is all we have.

Billy is a good young man. I think it goes unnoticed a lot of the time how much he leads this family. From buying Allison a car to making sure tommy has something to race to. He does it with honor and a humble spirit. None of us will last forever and some day Billy will probably be the head of the family. I think you couldn't ask for a better person to fill the position
I agree. 2021 has been a rough year for Billy but he keeps plugging forward and never forgets his family. It was nice to see that smile back.

Billy is still young. He has plenty of time to figure out what he needs/wants out of life. I really hope the both of them can work something out because it’s so easy to see that they are in love.

It is hard to have a true love for racing and try to keep a women relationship going. Sometimes the two don't mix becomes stressful for both parties. Billy has racing in his blood you can't take it out of him. He will find the right lady for him it always happens that way. Growing pains and living life is how it works you can't change it. Lesson for billy from us stupid old farts that have been down this road before him: get ya a handful of paint pens to keep around the shop and label the extra brackets, belts, bolts, etc with a paint pen like the junkyards did then throw it in your bucket or on the shelf and then you’ll always know what it’s for cause ten years from now your memory won’t remember what it’s for without it!

I had a 80 Malibu for years, started out as my street car ended up a full blown race car. That is a super nice one you have there, it was good to see the rear frame horns weren't rusted. Nice score!

My first Hot Rod I built was a 79’ Malibu. Had a V6 that I pulled out and stripped the car completely down including the interior. Replaced with a decently professionally built 327 and a built 2spd Powerglide. Reupholster the “Bench” seat and replaced the carpet and headliner, the rest just got scrubbed and reinstalled. 2” Stainless Exhaust with a rear end out of an 85’ Buick Grand National that was totaled in the front end. Painted the entire car including grille, bumpers and door handles white and it had a red interior. Decent car all together that sounded meaner than it was. Miss those body cars!
A Malibu street car is the dream. Looking forward to the build!

Love it! A lot like mine. 21k mile all original Ohio 1979 Malibu. Got off an estate that an old lady owned and drove only to church and the salon. I took the 3.3 out and sold it on eBay to a guy who put it in a model a. Now I put a 421 stroker in it and tuning here and there on it. Love the G Body and can’t wait to see what Billy does with it
