    Thank God for the scientist who found a way to test cremated remains for arsenic poisoning. Now they don't have an excuse that cremated remains cannot be forensically tested for poisoning. Well done.

    I just don't understand how people can take advantage of anyone but especially our seniors. We should always have their best interest at heart even when nothing is received in return. Knowing we've done right by people is a reward itself.

      I study police culture. Texas Rangers may be the only department (shut down twice in late 19th and early 20th century for violence and corruption) that successfully reformed itself. Every other department had to be reformed by outside forces and it rarely holds. Texas Rangers are elite because they are very intelligent and ethical. It is also a small group , usually about 250 Rangers.

      I think that the test would need to be “truthed” with 100 samples from non-poisoned cremains before it could be trusted by the courts. Nonetheless, the fact that the deceased old man and his surviving widow had been poisoned would be strong supporting evidence.

    • @CoCoGemel
      @CoCoGemel Год назад

      I'm sure they double checked the accuracy of the test with positive controls (with varying concentrations of arsenic) and negative controls to ensure that this is a qualified test to be used in the court of law. I highly doubt that they performed the test only once on the cremated remains and called it a day. After all, science is repetition and reproducibility.

    So this sociopath didn’t even wait to confirm the ladies changed their will. Otherwise he would have had the money and nobody would have investigated. Thankfully often these FF sociopaths are impatient and somewhat stupid

      Technically it should have been investigated after the sisters died. There was a red flag when he was angry that he wasnt in their will.
      Its not a normal reaction for you to be super concerned about the will specifics after you lived with them. More likely to enter shock.

    Old people are easy targets, because they are more gentle and have a good heart as compared to young people.

      Don't think because somebody is old that they have a good heart. For young evil people grow into old evil people. Just like young good hearted people grow into old good hearted people. But yes a older person is more vulnerable because of their weak bodies, and deteriorated brains.
