I found this on vinyl at a hole-in-the-wall record store. I love this concert. As great as the studio versions of the songs are, there's just something about Elton performing the songs with just his piano and his voice. I'm glad that Sir Elton decided to approve this concert for a proper release so that we could ALL have the privilege of hearing it.
Actually on his early solo shows and some tours he did with Ray Cooper his piano was amped using Helpinstill pick ups. He has done a few solo shows playing an unamped piano like he did in Monaco 1984.
This album has been bringing me so much peace and serenity lately. This literally might be the greatest solo performance from top to bottom I've ever heard in my life as well.
My uncle’s name is Daniel and he passed away on March 20 and they put this song on at the funeral and I was balling my eyes out when it said I miss Daniel I miss him so much I try to do a challenge of listening to this song and not crying and I always cry and know i know this song by heart
