The hometown I remember as a child and teenager is nowhere to be seen. Once known as the Venice of India, I can't even recognise this place anymore and I am nearing merely thirty. I can't even imagine the plight of the much older generation, it must prick them so much. No wonder Ruskin Bond wrote the poem Dirge for Dehradun. Echoes my sentiments. The litchis were ruined this year, the Dehradun Basmati is extinct yet people refuse to understand. The rampant concretisation brings tears to my eyes. Just how the city has been ruined in the name of development!

I think Uttrakhand land should not be given to outsiders....we can see condition of Haridwar, Nazimabad, Sarahanpur, Udhamsingh Namagar etc which used to land of UTTRAKHAND people...post independence people started setteling in these lands and majority of outsider have ocupied land business and have almost left no space for indegioious people.....New generation of UTTRAKAHND is not even aware that these used to populated by Garwali people earlier....Uttrakhand people cannot match business houses from NCR, Haryana, Punjab as they are very rich and and sacle up their business very fast and will take every thing up.....its not about being conservative..... very soon Uttrakand will be like other big cities in INdia and life for comman people will be hell and already we are seeing this in major big towns in Uttrakhand....once fona and flora of Uttrakand is destroyed then it will be big problem not only for Uttrakhand but for Entire UP and and other state as all major rivers originate from here......IF government want it can establish goverment business in UK and give indeginious people jobs and security. we dont need people from outside to come and estblish business in the state.....the rules are strict in state like Sikkim, Himachal, Lahak etc....so to preserve culture such steps must be taken.....aur thode se paise ke liye apni matra bhomi ki ma bahen ek na karo nahi to fir rone ke ala wa aur kuch nahi bache ga......bade business house ne bhala karan hota to NCR mein companies ka haal dekh lo samaj mein aa jayes ga....even MNCs mein kaam kar ke employees khush nahi hai......I have stayed in NCR for last 20 year and have worked for deshi and MNCs companies and have pratical experience......khali hawa mein nahi bool raha hu...Work for 10 years in NCR apne app wapas bhag jao ge, jab band baje gi.....na hwa achi hai, na pani achha hai, total hybrid aur Urea ka khana mile ga....jisko kha kar ane wale time miein Hospital ke chakkar lagao ge aur sara kamaya paise doob jaye ga......Majority of Uttrakhand people are living in 1BHK aur 2BHK in NCR and in the name of Oportunity and job are manking their children life hell....In NCR you can certainly earn good money but at very heavy price...UTTRAKHAND DOES NOT NEED OUTSIDER IN THE NAME OF BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT.......PEOPLE SHOULD STAND AGAINST ANY SUCH POLITICAL PARTIES BE IT BJP or CONGRESS......THIS THE ONLY WAY to PROTECT THE LAND FROM LAND MAFIAS, JUNGLE MAFIAS, CORRUPT BUROCRATS, POLITICIAN AND BIG BUSINESS HOUSES....OTHERSIE THESE PEOPLE WILL DO EVERY THING TO DESTROY THIS DEV BHUMI.....PEOPLE WHO THINK I AM CONSERVATIVE THEN GO AND ASK YOUR PARENT IN DELHI, HARYAN, PUNJAB, UP HOW WAY LIFE WAY BACK 50 YEARS and NOW...AT THAT TIME EVEN WITH LITTLE MONEY PEOLE WERE HAPPY....YOU NEVER PAID FOR WATER, PEOPLE in GOVT JObs used to 10-12K as officers but cound manage joint and big famlies.... today you may be earning in 70-80k to 1-2 Lakhs but barely can manage your family.....and if you have to pay hospital bill for major disease then your entire life earning will go ....

I am not against leasing out land in accordance to certain conditions but I am against SELLING it. This is not the plains, the Himalayan terrain is a delicate ecosystem which requires a balance. It is getting destroyed thanks to rampant concretisation.

I think Uttrakhand land should not be given to outsiders....we can see condition of Haridwar, Nazimabad, Sarahanpur, Udhamsingh Namagar etc which used to land of UTTRAKHAND people...post independence people started setteling in these lands and majority of outsider have ocupied land business and have almost left no space for indegioious people.....New generation of UTTRAKAHND is not even aware that these used to populated by Garwali people earlier....Uttrakhand people cannot match business houses from NCR, Haryana, Punjab as they are very rich and and sacle up their business very fast and will take every thing up.....its not about being conservative..... very soon Uttrakand will be like other big cities in INdia and life for comman people will be hell and already we are seeing this in major big towns in Uttrakhand....once fona and flora of Uttrakand is destroyed then it will be big problem not only for Uttrakhand but for Entire UP and and other state as all major rivers originate from here......IF government want it can establish goverment business in UK and give indeginious people jobs and security. we dont need people from outside to come and estblish business in the state.....the rules are strict in state like Sikkim, Himachal, Lahak etc....so to preserve culture such steps must be taken.....aur thode se paise ke liye apni matra bhomi ki ma bahen ek na karo nahi to fir rone ke ala wa aur kuch nahi bache ga......bade business house ne bhala karan hota to NCR mein companies ka haal dekh lo samaj mein aa jayes ga....even MNCs mein kaam kar ke employees khush nahi hai......I have stayed in NCR for last 20 year and have worked for deshi and MNCs companies and have pratical experience......khali hawa mein nahi bool raha hu...Work for 10 years in NCR apne app wapas bhag jao ge, jab band baje gi.....na hwa achi hai, na pani achha hai, total hybrid aur Urea ka khana mile ga....jisko kha kar ane wale time miein Hospital ke chakkar lagao ge aur sara kamaya paise doob jaye ga......Majority of Uttrakhand people are living in 1BHK aur 2BHK in NCR and in the name of Oportunity and job are manking their children life hell....In NCR you can certainly earn good money but at very heavy price...UTTRAKHAND DOES NOT NEED OUTSIDER IN THE NAME OF BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT.......PEOPLE SHOULD STAND AGAINST ANY SUCH POLITICAL PARTIES BE IT BJP or CONGRESS......THIS THE ONLY WAY to PROTECT THE LAND FROM LAND MAFIAS, JUNGLE MAFIAS, CORRUPT BUROCRATS, POLITICIAN AND BIG BUSINESS HOUSES....OTHERSIE THESE PEOPLE WILL DO EVERY THING TO DESTROY THIS DEV BHUMI.....PEOPLE WHO THINK I AM CONSERVATIVE THEN GO AND ASK YOUR PARENT IN DELHI, HARYAN, PUNJAB, UP HOW WAY LIFE WAY BACK 50 YEARS and NOW...AT THAT TIME EVEN WITH LITTLE MONEY PEOLE WERE HAPPY....YOU NEVER PAID FOR WATER, PEOPLE in GOVT JObs used to 10-12K as officers but cound manage joint and big famlies.... today you may be earning in 70-80k to 1-2 Lakhs but barely can manage your family.....and if you have to pay hospital bill for major disease then your entire life earning will go ....
