I must say at first I was skeptical but after getting it hooked up and seeing it work, I was happy with it. The advantage is, NO wiring to the reverse lights or anything else other than just plugging the power cord in for the monitor. The disadvantage is, having to hit one of the buttons on the side of it to make it come on. Since it is not powered by the reverse lights, it is manual.
