Am I too careless with my use of the word "bubbly"? Hm. Personally, I'd like to think I'm upbeat but bubbly is another realm entirely. Titles are difficult thoughhh, and it's the most important part! Either way, I think "bubbly" and the purple color in the thumbnail really go together, don't you?)

I dont comment often- but I had to for this! This has such a intriguing story with a really good cliffhanger that I’m sitting here thinking “I cant wait to see what happens next!” Not only that but it feels organic, like these two are goofy friends and you’d think this be another sweet little classic frens to lovers which would be absolutely fine but then there’s the phone call and then there’s tension! And when the listener’s heart starts beating after realizing?? ooooo Tea is HOT!!

Literally, my chest hurts. Like, I actually felt dejected and rejected when he said “No, it’s nothing important” and then it hurt MORE when I heard the panic in his voice and just the angst! It was beautiful. I loved it. I have tears in my eyes. 10/10, listening again. 😂

you know what else i like about this audio, it doesnt follow the "miscommunication/misunderstanding as conflict" trope to a T. Like the listener DOES give him a chance to explain himeself. But the more he talks the worse it gets! 😂
but usually in this sort of situation, the other person would usually storm off and not even give the person the chance to explain or clear up the misunderstanding and it's FRUSTRATING AF! Like, (i'm pretty sure) people don't act like that! We're too curious, or at the very least we want to be right, so we need answers! we want PROOF!
anyway, but this audio subverts that expectation (and thank heavens! i love that). and it feels believable that the listener is overwhelmed, to be confessed to, to share their own desire for a closer more romantic relationship, and then seemingly having that opportunity snatched away AND besmirched ("it's not important")?! That's A LOT to take in in such a short amount of time. And yeah, they want to be reassured, but the speaker DIDN'T DO THAT. He made it WORSE! it makes sense to want to get away from that!
it feels like great writing to me! not too irrational but doesn't lack drama either. there's tension and it feels earned and satisfying. i want to know more, i want to be satisfied by seeing the conclusion. i'm on the edge of my seat because i think this is interesting and not because the writer was shoving me out of it.

@Tinseltina You're so right. I was thinking about that while I was writing and how frustrating that feels but I also couldn't imagine ending this one any other way. So I tried to write it in a way that would make sense as best I could. Turns out my solution was just to give the speaker absolutely no filter hehe. I thought it was silly how badly he managed to mix up his words even if he meant well. If I were the listener (especially with how the listener is set up to be a little gloomier and less trusting)? Yeah I'd be right outta there.
I do my best to give them enough life to exist in their own little world and it's so fun! Lots of emotions flying around towards the end. I absolutely wouldn't know how to react in the real world if that many strong emotions came to me at once like that.
And it's one of my worst pet peeves to feel like the plot is moving forward not because any of the characters did anything or because there was background leading up to it, but only because the author WANTED it to go in a certain direction, so I'm so happy I managed to avoid that. Your words mean a lot to me, thank you

and it was a pleasure to read more avout your thought process and intentions in your writing, personally it helps me gauge whether i understood what the writer wanted me to understand and if it felt well executed.
and i think this first part you knocked it outta the park 👍🏽 it sounds like you put a lot of thought into your characters and how their behavior makes thestory flow. and it's a great balance between your intentions and what fits the characters you've written.
and i can't wait to hear part 2, i wonder what will happen and/or how he puts his foot in his mouth even further 😅
Ahh that’s was written and executed in such an amazing manner!! The build up and unexpected twist at the end that served as the cliffhanger- I can’t express just how much I adored this one and the other audios you’ve done!

God, something I absolutely *adore* about your vids are the different personalities and relationship dynamics that you convey, every single one of your audios (and the character you play in each one) is unbelievably interesting and has so so much substance to it, it's so refreshing to see this much range not only in performance (like seriously youre fantastic at writing dialogue w the listener character and making it sound natural and real) but writing skill too!! I honestly think I've watched every one of your audios at least 3 times already.

@Jay! Aaah!! That means a lot actually, I can’t help but feel like I keep playing the same characters over and over sometimes. I try to get more variety in where I can! Maybe it’s that a lot of my characters have similar mannerisms because my acting range isn’t crazy big but I can try to make up for it with the different stories. Hm. But trying to give my characters life gives me life hehe. So happy you enjoy!!

@Sashialla Odin Hehe those guys are pesky noisemakers actually, I ended up editing quite a bit of their honking out!! I’ve seen some waddling around where I live recently. The audio clip with them I used though was actually recorded in the Netherlands! But to give it a busier city park feel, I blended in some audio from Paris too! Can you hear any French? I think I managed to edit any extra dialogue out too but I might’ve missed some. Aah the sfx editing is fun.

I don't remember any French dialogue, but then again, as the audio went on, I found myself more and more enthralled with the story and script that I didn't pay a lot of attention to much else after the geese, lol.

@Sashialla Odin they could be Canadian Geese! Though I guess you’d call them Dutch Canadian Geese? Hehe it’s good they didn’t distract from the story. The heartbeat sounds were tricky because I didn’t want them to be campy but I also liked the effect they had. I listened and for a section I even lined them up individually to follow the flow of the dialogue! My heart was even going faster during editing them

It has that crisp, pale early morning feel when everything smells fresh and new after a rainy night. Little chilly but the sun starts to warm you as it rises.
The heartbeat was a great storytelling detail. Giving the listener a voice without saying a word.
Not a morning person myself, even if I regularly have to deal with them. Zombie/Cro-Magnon posture with the same level of linguistic and cognitive skills would make a moment like this much less adorable.

I can’t remember the last time I caught the sunrise but on the very rare occasion that I do, it’s always some sort of otherworldly experience. Glad you didn’t mind that heartbeat! I hate putting words in the listener’s mouth but I also wanted to add a little extra kick to the scene.

it seems like my curiosity has gotten the better of me again and i don't think i'll ever be able to see a jurrasic park/world movie the same ever again😭

after you uploaded yesterday, i listened to this last night and i wanted to mention that i felt really in the moment despite having this audio in the background. my full attention shifted towards the audio when i listened to the call, and it felt like i was feeling the emotions of the listener. not to mention, i've been very emotionally numb, so this audio truly felt like some sort of awakening
