(I don’t even have an excuse anymore. Like I’m just bad at keeping up with deadlines. And regular communication. Period. Just bad at it. Yeah. That’s the Tanuki Cycle I guess. Well regardless, welcome back! It’s been a minute. Unless you’re new, in which case hello, it’s nice to meet you! For the most part, this audio was done in a single take! I only had to do a small handful of cuts, I surprised myself. It's like I'm basically a pro at this point.
Have you ever chatted with your ex after years have passed? These months have been a bit tiring but then again, which months aren’t? By the way, this one isn’t binaural except for the end, so uh…feel free to use headphones for that part? I just ramble a bunch and play piano. OH! That’s right, I got new piano sounds! Can you hear the difference? I’m tempted to make a piano sleep aid thing with it. Hm, also I really should get a cat though. I think I’d name him Mocha because then I could call him Momo.

It's...strange. Feelings you thought were long gone jump right back up in your face and everything gets confusing again. But! Let me step out of my never-commenting-silent-listener-attitude for a second and say that this one hit my heart.
The voice, the script, the character, the little after talk (even if its not part of the audio but.. you know), ...
Not to mention that i am a writer who does poetry and is very timid about showing my work. This was unexpected but very much appreciated.
And I 'dated' an ongoing musician? With this voice and personality? And BROKE UP with him? I surely was eating the wrong mushrooms.
The three words at the end had me tear up a little i cant lie..
Anyway, long story short (i have already been commenting more than i have in the past 5 years): this was an amazing audio, a really really sweet script, the acting was great, the sound quality (even with phone filter on) was just as nice, please don't worry about posting regularly and yes, go get a cat.

Ah yeah, the tonal transitions there just kinda happened that way and I only realized after. I thought it was fun for variety's sake. Though...the phone audios I've done before have held many of the same cliches. What can I say, I'm in my niche!
Unfortunately, the music has been about as productive as things have been on the tanuki side of my creative efforts, so I've nothing much to report. Hopefully more to come soon though on both fronts!

It's so good to see that you've returned and to hear you again! I found your channel right when you last stopped posting I think. So glad to see you getting motivation again, and definitely my thanks to The Friend. I also think there'd be a lot of interest in a Patreon if you choose to make one.
This video is a bit uncanny for me, as an aspiring poet with a partner with a passion for musical theatre. Lots of differences, but lots of similarities as well.
It's very cathartic to listen to this for other reasons though, with the themes of forgiveness and rebuilding bridges. One of my best friends now and I are technically exes, and we definitely had phases of hatred and no contact. But it's so healing to work through those feelings and the events that caused them, and if both people have grown and worked on themselves enough, a friendship forged out of the ashes of love can be one of the most stable and reliable things you can imagine.
Also, ngl, when you talked about recognising the way the listener chooses words to talk about things, recognising who the poems are about, that hit me in my feels DEEP for some reason. In my first language I'd say something that literally translates to "it's onioning", as in it stings a little and makes you tear up more than it should.
All in all, thanks Tanuki!

Mm, I mean full disclosure, this audio does bear a lot of similarity to something I've been experiencing recently so I know just what you mean when you talk about friendships forged from ashes. It can be a painful thing, but the growth the has happened throughout the time we didn't talk could not be more apparent. I feel like I know myself better now, after having talked to someone who knew a different version of me years ago. Nice to hear that things could work out with your now best friend. So many complicated feelings. It was fun to try to communicate some of them with this script.

Now to answer your question, I regret to inform that I have never dated anyone before so I don't have an ex. However, I recently met up with a friend who confessed to me once or twice. He's genuinely a good guy but I really don't feel anything romantic for him. Don't tell anyone but I cried when I had to reject him. Thankfully he was part of the good experience of high school / secondary school love since he already knes I can't accept his feelings. I can't remember if we remained friends after that but from our conversation, I found out that je finally has a gf or love interest (I'M SORRY I CAN'T REMEMBER) but he seems happy and the girl seems to like him as well. I'm so happy for him and I hope he continues to find happiness in the future ^^

Okay im not gonna lie this video is actually inspiring me to write more personal poems cause i used to do that a lot and then i stopped and then i started writing poems for these characters i created and then i stoped for about a year but yesterday i got the motivation to write a poen agaib abd i had a character i had made recently but im thinking if i do more personal poemsthen maybe others. can relate to them in their own personal way which i might end up doing since i am starting a new chapter of my life soon of starting testosterone but yeah this video actually gave me a bit of inspiration and im glad to see you back again

i was about to fall asleep but seeing this certainly woke me up! i think i speak for everyone when i say to thank your friend, and this turned out really well. i really hope you do continue to post, even if it's infrequently, and i think a lot of us would be more than willing to support you on patreon if you decide to go that route. whatever you decide, i just hope that you continue to post in some capacity, there's something about your characters and the way you play them that just seems to feel more genuine than a lot of other channels.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new piano sounds!!!! Makes me feel something! Idk what it is but it’s something! (Have I said that before???) the audio is so good and I feel so at ease now (I didn’t realize I wasnt before???) I should stop editing with new thoughts but it feels important to comment as I go
