Nice long video, that's a good testing circular walk, beautiful scenery, Ashford is a nice village, Monsal dale looks amazing, I think the bird of prey was a buzzard, fabulous video, very enjoyable thanks 👍😊
Been out today and followed your walk (nearly). Great walk over the White Peak. The water pouring down the path just after crossing the A6 was something else today - wet feet. Thanks for the inspiring video.
Hiya Charlotte, think I'll have to do this circular soon. It looks like there is nobody around now too, so when i get round to it (maybe mid November) I think it'll be dead - my kinda walk - no people lol. Thanks matey, nice video. Lee
Yes I was surprised with how few people I passed actually, but the majority definitely stick to the monsal trail and between the viaduct and weir. A varied and very beautiful walk. You’ll love it 😊
Nice little vid Char, deep Dale is somewhere I have driven past many times on my visits to the Peaks, but I've never actually had a hike around. Looks great. Cheers for sharing 🤟🏻❤️
Great walk over part of the Peak that I don't get to much. Inspired to get down to this area of the Peak District. Wonder how wet this was after the recent storm. Thank. for the video.
Hey Char, a great tour and certainly also one of my favorites. Were the buildings an old farm at the very beginning? Did I understand that correctly? 🤔 The river looked great and with less water certainly well suited for swimming. Thanks for the tour! 🤗
Heyy.. at the very beginning it was the mine.. it did look like an old farmhouse with it, but I think probably for workers of the mine?! I’m only guessing though. Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Was trying to share some photos I took on a cold frosty night at Magpie,. White grass and the buildings light with touch. even caught a star trail from Elon Husk
Ahhhh Thankyou for noticing, and asking. No I haven’t managed to film anything.. getting a little bit behind now. I’ll be back on it before you know it 🥰
Bet you knew what I was talking about though didn’t you. Sorry I’m not as perfect as you 😉 the description says weir.. I might say waterfall.. no1s offended are they.. maybe just you. Apologies.
Sorry if my comment was harsh . I envy your fitness getting up those hills , I am no longer able to ! You may be interested in researching the Magpie Mine drainage sough , which burst out of the hillside near Ashford in the Water some years ago and nearly flooded Bakewell . The scar can still be seen above the river .@@barefoot_ventures

This was filmed the day before we got all the heavy rain, and I believe Ashford in the water was quite bad the day after 🌊 🥲

Beautiful isn’t it.. I watched the northern lights from here a couple of weeks ago. 🤩
Its Sunday night and you haven't posted, most unusual. I hope everything is alright.

Whew, I was getting VERY concerned by Weds night!!! Glad all is well. It just isn't a Sunday without a roast and your new video!@@barefoot_ventures
NOW you have me really worried! Its Wednesday night and no post thus far. Covid is rampant where I live, sure hope that hasn't struck you.
Weir , not waterfall !
