Thank you for the comment. You may use the machine on a mat/are rug. Floor One S5 COMBO achieves smart floor washer and handvac in one, but only the handheld vacuum, which could be understood as the "suction only" mode of the whole machine, is able to be operated on mats and rugs, because the floor washer would finish sucking and washing together at the same time, as a result it could not be used on mats or rugs.
