Just finished reading the book and then watched this program. Great 60 minute interview. Michael Lewis was in a privileged position to talk to the guys on the right side of the Big Short. It's so helpful that he got their point of view out and in front of the world so that we know what really happened. Plus he is an articulate, convincing and charming interviewee - clearly knows what he is talking about.
At The Home Depot (I call it The Home Despot now because they decided to not give me already earned vacation time to go to my sons’ wedding) they asked me to ask obviously poor people to get a credit card when the best credit rating ANYONE had would have to pay 22.5% interest.
@ubuibiok Nonsense, our government says that the economy is doing great and they are clearly more intelligent then all the people who say the crash coming years before it did. But in all seriousness, the economic "recovery" is more of an illusion then actual recovery. While the official unemployment number is decreasing as new jobs are created what that statistic doesn't show is that the underemployed number is going up and those are the people counted as employed.
Fantastic interview. Michael does his best at explaining the 2008 financial crisis and he hits it out of the park.

I love his laugh, esp. 54:13. Haha. Great interview.
Great book btw. Really sheds light on the whole crisis. Its origin to the 2008.

@calinder403 I totally agree. And it doesn't make sense to make such a big deal about it.
The host's AMAZON submission was TOTALLY irrelevant.
Oh no, swearing. Everybody clutch their pearls and think of the children
Ever since my debut on the National Registry, I've been trying to not think of the children.
why does this guy not like the F* word? And, asking the author why the characters use that word? That's how they talk...
I don't enjoy the F* word myself. But then I have a vocabulary unlike most in todays world.
i'ts funny how the interviewer looks like John Gutfreund
@cdltpx You mean 'Bernie Sanders 2012!'
dear interviewer, READ THE F**KING BOOK FIRST
Hello! He did read the book. Can you read?
Who gives a shit about Kindle availability?
