It's a natural instinct to put the hands out. One mistake and his hands will look like they went through a meat grinder. It happened to a good friend of mine. It was a horrible sight. He now wears a prosthetic left hand. He learned his lesson the hard way.

I always Wear Gloves even in short (4/5 km) slow rides bc 1) hands are the first thing that goes down in a crash And 2) i don't get the right feeling with the levers and the throttle without gloves
if you look closely he has Andreani forck cartriges and ohlins damper and i'm shure he did something abot that rear shock.These mods change100% the handeling on a mt09

But coming off with gear at high speed and you slide you get up and walk it off. I have come of at about 220. Long skid and roll. Ego was bruised but I walked away

On a race track you have tens if not hundreds of meters to slide and make use of your protective gear. When this demon crashes most likely he will not slide for many meters - he will probably hit a wall, a car, a post, a rock, a house... And with the speeds he rides at no protective gear will save him. From 200 to 0 in 0.1s means IK.

You can’t tell me he’s not necessarily a squid bc of his skill tho bc you can be the greatest rider in the world but a car pulling out can be the end of your riding career. If he falls at 100mph not wearing gloves, no matter the reason, he could easily lose a hand. At the end of the day tho it’s his decision and he can do what he wants lol just not very advisable, hopefully he doesn’t go down!
