After watching countless videos of the MT07 with an Akrapovic exhaust, I decided to get one with the db killer removed earlier this year. Let me tell you, its even more obnoxious than you can imagine, no videos justify the sound. Don't get this setup if you're shy, it will turn lots of heads! I love it more and more, even though I can't hit the highway without foam inserts :)
Is it bearable for your ears to ride without db killer on your MT07 ? I want to buy one but and I wonder if it is possible to ride it everyday without db kiler

I took it on a few long trips (5+ hours), and remember wishing that I had put the db-killer back in for the rides 😂 Sold the bike now to get the Tenere 700 and ride offroad, but some days I miss it very much..

I could watch this video all day, Yamaha really knows how to make a bike that sounds good, and it's no surprise that they also make musical instruments.
This bike sounds better at lower revs tbh, bit like a Harley Davidson. Sounds good opening throttle but not holding it there indefinitely in my opinion.
tbh i ride without mirrors too. i cant see shit with them, my shoulders are too big haha :D Just turn around for one sec and u'll see more than with those ass mirrors xD And it looks clean btw.
I agree. If you dont like mirrors then put a small one under the bar. But make sure it doesn't hit your tank when turning. But mirrors are a must. They don't look good, there i agree, but they are safe. Much safer than looking back. You basically don't even look where you are going when turning your head.
Never let your f*ing mirrors lull you into a false sense of security. Turning your head is the only way to really know. If those f*ing antlers were the only option I would not ride.

As I said it’s not about the money it’s about approval the approval of my parents and the approval of my country, in my country the license doesn’t allow me to buy more than 700 cc for one year. After one year you can get more than 700 like the MT09 or Ducati monster etc

Here in Kansas, lots of riders are still out even in the 40s lol. I've done a few nights low 50s, and upper 40s but, definitely don't fully enjoy it. Worst I've done a few years ago was riding in 20°. Even started snowing on me. Possibly the worst decision I've ever made on a bike 😂. But I'm trading my current bike for an R7 in a couple months so I'm done riding now just for the sake of keeping it scratch free till then. Added benefit is keeping me from riding in freezing weather lol.
I've just enquired about a 2015 model of the MT-07. It was originally meant to be my first bike but I ended up settling for a 2010 Diverison. Brilliant bike but still to this day. It doesn't hold anything on the MT-07. Of course my lease is up so I want to get my dream bike.
This bike just wants to stay in the lower revs for sure. It doesn’t sound that good in the high revs, but that guttural sound in the lower range is one of the best things ever.
I just got new headphones and i was like i am gonna test them this video popup on my screen and oh god its so good the headphones even got some vibrations and it felt so nice
you don't actually need to use the clutch for upshifts or down shifts. (though downshifts are preferable done with clutch) when you shift gears you back of the throttle right? well backing of the throttle is actually all you need to shift up. so just back of the throttle and shift at the same time and then just get back on it. just a quick flick is enough :) to shift down you need to blip the throttle (give it gas) so it's not as smooth or preferable. but for upshifts you back of the throttle anyway so no need for clutch :)
@@harrycrane6770 Oh, okay, my bike has started to pop now and again when I chop the throttle but I don''t like it especially when it becomes frequent, I want to hear a solid engine braking noise because the popping is a sign the bike is out of tune.
dear, with all this cuteness in presenting your MT07, I want to give my testimony, I bought an MT07 in October 2021, and I just exchanged it for a Suzuki GSX S750, I can assure you that Suzuki is by far much more motorcycle in every way
as a motorcycle mechanic in a dealership that lists all brands, i can easily say that the gearing and straight up acceleration winner of what i've ridden goes to the MT-10, hands down. Such a serious pull and if you don't brace for it, your head will fall back and arms will straiten out just trying to hold on. i was always a honda/BMW fanboy, but yamaha got my respect very quickly.

no DB killer is annoying for long and frequent rides. I had an SC Project with db killer removed and it's even quieter than the akra (but looks much better - all black and clean lines). It's fun to rip around without the db killer once in a while but on a daily basis it was too much.
Hi bro, i like what you did with your bike, black MT´S are the best. I can´t keept looking to the Quad Lock mount, as you have an all black MT, you should get a black Quad Lock lever, just to be nicer on the bike. It´s just my opinion. If it was my bike i would do it!
