Amen,comrade.
I too agree
though the jab of propaganda against USA seemed pretty obvious on this one lmao, as well as the other Terra videos showing Yan/Lungmen as some perfect and flawless civilization thats never been divided. they’re really playing safe
@@f.b.lagent1113 The same Yan who forced Wei to commit a purge on the Lungmen Slum?
But it's certainly interesting how there is not much focus on infected whenever the game cover Yan stories, outside of Lungmen. I only remember the Heroine in the recent Vernal Wind.

Kal'tsit: Last week I gave a presentation. And nobody paid any attention. It’s my own fault for using PowerPoint. PowerPoint is boring. People learn in a lot of different ways, but experience is the best teacher. Today, seaborns is gonna save lives.
its not a power point, its a video presentation
Fun Fact: The Foehn Hotlands was first mentioned in AK x R6S event, Operation Originium Dust.
Blitz initially masked their whereabouts to Rhodes Island by mentioning that they came from the South, South of Sargon - to which Rangers thought that they were from countries beyond the Foehn Hotlands.
I know it is a bit farfetch but do you think that this could be the foreshadowing of a nation beyond the Hotland's, like a whole new territory most don't know existed?
Honestly considering how the southern part of what seems to be the main continent of Terra is super hot I wouldnt be surprised to learn the current map is only the northern half of the planet.
After all if we base it off of irl logic, the north and south should be cold while the middle is hot on a planet.
@koroshia7014 yes that's what I personally think at least. While the world of Terra is different from earth they do have some similarities. Normally just super exaggerated due to the world's freaky weather.
Like Yan (Terra's China) and Columbia (Terra's Merica) both have large desert regions, while they seem to be much larger and worst in this world they do indeed exist irl had well.
@@DawnDewDew imo: considering the "current" continent is flanked from all side by demons and ravaged by catastrophe, it's possible that there's another continent in Terra, it's just that even with the current technology, the current countries still hasn't been able to conquer/explore the whole continent properly, proof: the map of countries often featured in Arknights is a "control" map, meaning the "dots" that seemed doesn't connected to a large landmass, doesn't necessarily mean it's an island, considering the land is destroyed repeatedly by catastrophe & cities moving around in giant tracks, it's common for one city to lost contact with another, meaning it's a pain to fully control your own nation's border, let alone tried to cross the demon realm/crossing the seaborn-infested ocean
@@fdenrico9861 true, it's so hard to conquer that even the beligerent Ursus empire created the emperors blade to defend and not conquer.
The fact that the Aegir reached out, First. Goes to show that the seaborn threat has grown to a point, that they are asking for the surface dwellers to help them.
Yeah....... they're about to get fucked up by SOMETHING and soon.
But they still have the arrogance to demand obedience.

The lore about the seaborn, the northern demons, and all other mysteries of the Terran world are my most anticipated stories in AK. So I find it sad that the Iberian lore train is (presumably) halted because the playerbase complained too much about being traumatized by Stultifera Navis S stages
question:
in IS3, the seaborn have pretty much taken over the whole world
did they also manage to take over the northen demons?
@@King_Jockeymaybe, but if i remember correctly the seaborn need 3 month to take down ursus empire and emperor blade. Maybe they take them down too. But it just what if story so no need to think hard about it

@@arsene_ch2201 EXACTLY
Aside from Iberia who are racist to Aegir refugees, the other nations would be like "Who the f*ck are these guys?!"
It's very possible because of the threats they are facing. They did say that it's even more dangerous than catastrophe. Also this is for IS3 timeline where Seaborn did attack the surface and almost wiped out humanity. Dont forget that Aegir is the nation that has experiences in fighting Seaborn day and night so the united nation under Aegir just for the sake to fight Seaborn makes sense. And that message probably sent in the middle of the attack otherwise other nations wouldnt listen.
Whoever that Ægir guy from the broadcast, i hope he appears as a character in a possible Ægir-based event. Don't care if he would be an NPC or a playable operator. I loved his voice in the ending of the video where he wants all of humanity in the surface to stop fighting and work together --even though they would be under the leadership of the Ægir--
Under the glorious leadership of the Aegir of course.
That's not going to work out so well.
@@Apt00 to be fair Aegir knows the most about the seaborns than any groups, makes sense for them to lead.
And Aegir technology is the number one among all Terra, Gladiia and Specter alter always comment how primitive technology rhodes island and terra have. Even Columbia technology not enough compared with aegir have.
@@f.b.lagent1113 i think he's talking about how out of the blue, a very prideful country that doesn't want to be involved with the rest of terra, suddenly asks everyone to fall under their rule. it makes sense that he thinks that it's not going to work out well.

I really hope we get another Aegir/seaborn event soon and finally free ulpianus from npc jail. lastly terra is now at ver 3.0 while the landship is still in BETA
Welcome to another exciting episode of *"Kal'tsit Explains The Plot"*
Kal'tsit the talk
"100.000 words are told and a million more on the way"
The Aegir really f'd up, first provoking the seaborne and refusing to make peace, then bombing everyone with a sudden order to fall in line under the Aegir.
we don;t know for sure if they provoke it. Beside, how the hell you make peace with beings that doesn't function the same way you do?
And they don't order anyone, it is an invitation.
Then again, Gladiia is fond of telling dryland beings of how inferior they are compared to Aegir
What really interesting is Foen Hotland, Incy Icefield and beyond tundra receive this message, means someone there
-Foen hotland probably related to new game mode about passenger
- Infy Iceland is IS4(Colombia expedition)
-As for beyond tundra we know nothing
Passenger stuff is a prequel to walk with dust and happens in Sargon (it's a story of Passenger's growth into the manipulative force of chaos bent on revenge). We have no idea what's beyond the Hotlands still but there's clearly land beyond Hotlands so yeah.
@@MyFeuerFrey only thing we know about hotlands is the not mongols allied with the Pasha to conquer hotland
New Kal'tsit ASMR just dropped LETS GOOOO!
The trilogy is complete. I can finally recomend it to people without telling them to look for translations.
As much as I love the building up to the end, a being of the Sea myself, let us home in on an important detail:
The Sankta Tribes and the enduring hatred that is all that remains towards the "idyllic" Laterano. This pretty much confirms that the Lateran Sankta and Sarkaz of Kazdel share the same origin, but only their mutual opposition is all that remains. When Mostima violated The Law and Fell, she started gaining the Horns and Tail of a Sarkaz. And it took the child of both people to let The Bell ring once again.
I vaguely recall some part of one of the narratives going as far to state that the original (primordial?) Sankta is regarded as a traitor to the Sarkaz, which implied that they are in essence one and the same.
In a way, species identity in the Arknights world tends to mix the physical with the metaphorical, the Abyssal Hunters being one of a few remarkable examples (at what point do you draw the line between identifying as Ægir and identifying as seaborn if you can pass for both?) and Guide Ahead gave a murkiness to Sankta vs Sarkaz with both Mostima and Cecelia (also further complicated the matter with Andoain vs Yvangelista XI).
I think it's more interesting in its current state, where lots of assumptions and theories can be made regarding the relationship between the two and it is never hashed out in detail (possibly because it's actually not important to the narratives themselves). End of the day, these are side stories, not part of some epic saga about the rise and/or fall of a nation.
@@Yorushima An Aegir is a human with fish/aquatic animals features.
Abyssal Hunter is Aegir that use some form of modified Seaborn cells injected into them to be super soldiers in God Eater and Hunter style.
Seaborn is non-human being that rapidly evolve itself by consuming other form of life, as in Specter Alter where it gain almost human form by consuming that bitch who experiment on Laurentina.
Very clear specific differences.
Now why Aegir can't create a way like God Eaters did to halt Abyssal transformation into Seaborn, nobody knows for sure.
Maybe because:
1- It serve as population control as Aegir has no existential threat to itself ( thus Aegirian can breed a lot without death looming constantly and live long due to their advance technology) except Ishar-mla and that only got exponentially worse after Skadi kill it for the first time.
2- Maybe founders of Aegir predict this outcome so long ago but they never did anything to solve it to prevent Aegir from ever going to start pointless war with other country as they only busy themselves to defend against Seaborn while all citizens virtually have one common enemy, as such the nation stay united with each other.
@@neardarkroad1347....um, what?
Given that the first 4 responses I had to struggling to read this was something I considered needlessly antagonizing, I'm gonna settle on the neutral statement that I think your understanding of what happened in Under Tides and Stultifera Navis is drastically different from what I remember reading in-game and over the wiki. As such, I'll settle with "Okay, w/e".
@@Yorushima no no, I get what you are saying before, you just misunderstood something.
Not to blame you, that is the flaw of Arknight translation and the way the writing is structured, we fell into that Seaborn trap.
Most of Aegir that has close relation with the sea ( either due to living in the sea or near sea) feel the metaphysical connection toward Ishar-mla as she is the one with Authority on it, like she is the personafication of the sea itself.
Now, we don't know for sure if all Aegir has seaborn cells in them, that never stated. But we know for sure Abyssal Hunters have them in their body, just like Bloodborne Hunters has Beast blood in them or God Eaters Franchise God eaters have God Eater cell injected into them.
That talking Seaborn in Under tides just gaslight Skadi to think Seaborn = Aegir too, like Aegir = Seaborne.
@@neardarkroad1347 And right after I talked about being antagonistic...okay, fine.
First, you're missing (practically ignoring given how in-your-face it's been) the tidbit that seaborn assimilate their prey. In Under Tides, Sal Viento residents are added to their ranks. In Stultifera Navis, church of the deep followers are effectively hybridized and the crew of the ship are revealed to have either killed themselves or turned. IS3's entire setting is that just about everyone gets either eaten or converted, with you witnessing people gradually turning as you journey along. The murky bit here is there aren't details on what level of exposure is required, while straight-up eating seaborn biomass for a long time will definitely do the trick, transmission effectiveness outside of that is unknown.
Next, bits of monologue in Under Tides mention that previous abyssal hunters would exhibit seaborn physiologies, turn on their friends, and have to be put down. Gladiia is at the start of this phase throughout the entire narrative, though she's been somewhat successful at fighting it off. You're right that they have seaborn cell implants, but it's not to make them super-soldiers, it's to make them bait. Under Tides reveals it as partially why Skadi runs into seaborn everywhere she goes, and Gladiia's operator file confirms that it's an intentional design on the abyssal hunters, as they are supposed to be a distraction and expendable vanguard force.
Moreover, Skadi is an especially unique case, in which she hosts Ishar-mla (it wouldn't be remotely connected to her given that she most definitely killed the damn thing before the narrative events). Archive files on her alter very strongly suggest that the biology of her hypothetically converted form effectively matches a seaborn, and the only thing Ægir about her remaining is external appearance.
(fyi, Ishar-mla is hinted to be one of several seaborn overlords, and the seaborn aren't even the biggest threat from the ocean, just the one revealed so far)
Finally, the above tangent isn't strongly relevant to what I was talking about anyway because I was explaining metaphorical, not metaphysical. Up to this point, race in Terra's been strongly linked to an existing nationality (some cases, an ethnicity) irl. While obviously ethnic traits can't be changed in a person's lifetime (yet), cultural aspects can. The descent from Sankta to Sarkaz can be potentially interpreted as an individual or group adopting the same values as its opposition (and being subsequently rejected by its original society, though Mostima is accepted by her colleagues rather warmly for a reject so it's hard to say), and seaborn assimilation can be potentially interpreted as a full-on descent into savagery that destroys whatever semblance of civility the victim originally had. This is a theory though because "Any similarity to real people or events is completely coincidental," but it is common in writing to incorporate some level of reality to engage the audience better. As a theory, it could be totally wrong (likely is) though I figured it would be interesting if that was what it hinted at.

The audacity of Aegir. Yeah sure, let's join forces under us who once abandoned the rest and they expect all nations to comply, especially Iberia who has a more than understandable reason to hate Aegir and tell them to fuck off (Aegir as in the nation not the people, Iberia's persecution of Aegir Iberians is pretty dumb, although after what we saw in Stulrifera Navis, the Inquisition might start reforming itself, Jordi does join the Inquisition after all)
And after what we see in IS3, although an alternate story, still shows potential behaviors.
Kal’tsit explaining more world building , lore and plot? Perfection
There are 2 possibilitie about the end of this video the lore dropped :
1) This last part is canon with IS3 story, marking it at "the beginning" of it. We can consider Skadi failed to stay Skadi after Sultifera Navis and this was broadcasted by Aegir not so long after, when Seaborn, aware of their god being back, massively attacked.
2) This is not canon with IS3 but with the main story, in that case that create multiple questions : When in main timeline (chap 11 being the latest, global-wise)? What is happening for Aegir to suddenly agitate like that? Will there be a third Aegir/Iberia themed event?
Note this is "weird" tho in a sense that this was posted on CN a little bit over 6 months ago, and we haven't got a new event Aegir/Iberia themed recently there, which doesn't work timing-wise.
And of course: What is in Foehn Hotlands, and what is in the northern tundra and unknow area (this we know a bit with IS4, but I won't delve into that as it would make my comment even longer).
God I fucking love Arknights and its lore please give us more

I assume Aegir tech is so advanced that they might as well be alien to the surface dwellers and the surface dwellers might as well be tech primitive or even barbaric to them but this message and warning is not very diplomatic at all. The Seaborn is/are an existential threat to all Terra (and no amount of diplomacy is going to change that) but give the barbarians their dignity and honor to accept coached in "equal terms and partnership", not rub it on their faces to follow Aegir leadership. Aegir will still lead of course and no doubt about it but they can at least try to be diplomatically subtle about it to the proud barbaric and primitives they're asking assistance and unity from.
